My ask was for competitive football. I am seeing competitive football. I still think Fickell's ceiling is limited because he can't manage the clock or timeouts or know when to go for it on 4th down but I'll take this all season long.

well yeah if you go back far enough the Brewers have more wins than anyone. Padres have us by 3 games or so since July 24th I think. But point is they are playing very well so it's reasonable to be nervous. -
Baseball has a lot of randomness. The Brewers could easily lose to the Rockies in a random best of five series and now they're playing the hottest team in baseball since end of July.

Zeitler has been incredibly durable during his career. But yeah 36 is 36.

I think it will make a difference but going from arguably worst offensive line in the NFL the last decade to "bad" might not move the needle a ton.

I don't have time to look right now but I think that line against Minnesota had 4 guys with less than 30 starts combined.

They aren't running a high school offense anymore. That might help.

If they get 8+ wins, he will most likely get another year at least. I think UW is conscious of the buyout $$. Wisconsin would owe Fickell either $6.48 million or 80% of his remaining total compensation under terms of his initial contract and additional compensation agreement — whichever is higher at the time he is fired. That original contract runs through March 31, 2030.
