  1. Hiura is striking out less. I'll give him that. He's got a K% of 23.8 in AAA this year as opposed to 33.4% he had in 2021.
  2. 4 star RB committed today.
  3. I think we are veering off-topic. Let's get back to investing. Thanks.
  4. After today's game: Yelich 2023 287/381/459/840 Yelich Career 287/377/465/842
  5. Like grants. I have worked at a not for profit for a while. I chose to refinance my grad school loans with a private bank instead of going for the 10 years precisely because I didn't trust the promises made would be good in ten years time.
  6. The Cardinals lose in excruciating fashion. Ya hate to see it.
  7. My 22 year old nephew will never know what it's like to write a check.
  8. Some stuff I've really enjoyed recently: The Silo (on Apple) - sci fi. Probably could have shaved off two episodes but it's very good. The Bear S2 (on Hulu) - just a wonderfully written and acted dramatic comedy. They really capture restaurant life to a T. The Diplomat (Netflix) - political thriller. Really smart. Really good.
  9. Since June 1: 336/439/546/984 And he had a very good May too - 842 OPS If you take out April his numbers are 313/411/510/921
  10. Libertarians support unemployment benefits?
  11. If they get another decent starter or two, they are gonna be trouble for a few years.
  12. My last student loan payment for grad school is in two weeks. Woo hoo!
  13. He's an 800 OPS switch hitter that has experience playing 1st and 3rd. Not super exciting but an improvement on what the Brewers have.
  14. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/a-reliable-indicator-says-the-next-recession-might-be-3-years-away-morning-brief-100045316.html What if that reset pushes a recession… all the way to 2026?
  15. I like the draft pick from the little film I saw. He can't shoot but if he could he wouldnt have been there at 36.
  16. Myers is 32 and has had one decent year since he was a rookie and that was the year cut short by Covid. Winker is 29 and has had one bad year since his rookie year. Yeah he has been absolutely horrible this year but not exactly apples to apples. (And 8.25 million is not high priced.)
  17. I don't know this for a fact but I believe offense is down league wide since Braun's later years.
  18. Latest numbers. Barrel % and Walk % are way up since my last post (may 14):
