By the early 1960s, news reports highlighted the fact that calling a bubbler a bubbler was the sure sign of being a Milwaukeean. "Why Milwaukee uses this term … is hard to say. Possibly it is a survival of the old German habit of making words sound like what they represent," the Racine Journal-Times wrote in a 1963 editorial reprinted in both The Journal and Sentinel. "But the word has a certain charm, and we hope Milwaukee keeps it."

    Woodruff was amazing this past season. Imagine how he'll be if the velocity comes back. It might be like Tommy John where it takes another year after you return to get back up to full horsepower. I'd much rather we take on that chance for a year than some other NL team. We have a young, cheap lineup outside of Yelich so spending some dough on a pitcher is fine, IMO. I bet the payroll is about the same as 2025.

    Yeah most of them are. Off the top of my head, Green Bay, New England, and I guess the Atlanta Braves are not. There may be others, The parking is only a cash cow if it's used and that lot is empty 75% of the year and rarely full during the season. A big reason the Brewers may not develop anything is that they do not have to pay property taxes on the parking lots unless they build something on them. So obviously, the math would have to work in their favor to build something.

    Pretty sure the Brewers don't have to do anything. Part of the deal was that they had to do a feasibility study. That's it.

    I think losing arguably the best player on the team after Parsons is going to impact the offense. They were super thin on a mediocre offensive line and lost Jenkins. Any playoff wins will be frosting, IMO.
