I don't think the Rocky's people consider it Detroit style but it is similar. it's missing the carmelized crust. some people in the foodie blogs call it Detroit style.
  2. I need to start reading Reddit more often. That stock has gone from under 20 to almost 150 in two weeks. edit: and now it's over 200 in after hours trading

I've never had it but I am willing to try it because I am open-minded about such things.

Detroit style pizza is all the rage! Pizza Hut Launching Detroit Style 'Za. https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/26/business/pizza-hut-detroit-style-launch/index.html

I haven't but I don't think it's so different from putting the red pepper flakes on there.

Yeah I just...can't. If I reheat I use the oven.

Anybody ever tried Jet's pizza? It's Detroit style. I've never pulled the trigger because we have a lot of independent options but I'm curious how it is.
  8. There are some solar ETFs you might want to check out.
  9. Fuel cells are good one to check out if you want to look at alternate energy. FCEL

  12. In a perfect world, I'd buy a house with an apartment over the garage or a mother in law cottage/carriage house in the back. I would love to rent out something like that on Air BnB. I don't think I'd want to rent out one place while living somewhere else though. I'd for sure want a management company to take care of things if that was the case.
  13. People are horrible at making decisions now when the impact of that decision won't be felt for many years. This has been shown/proven many times over. We are built to live in the here and now - worked great when we were hunter/gatherers but not anymore.
  14. I read Nudge by Richard Thaler a few months ago. He's a behavioral economist at Univ of Chicago (and won a Nobel). He says most people go with the default option when signing up for something. So if you have to "opt-in" to a retirement plan a lot of times people just won't "opt-in". He wants it to be "opt-out" so the default is you are automatically enrolled but you have to fill out a form to un-enroll. Certainly not the only reason people aren't saving but a simple change that can help.
  15. I thought that as well but then I checked on Chase and the only thing they listed was the age of my oldest credit card. I always thought it was average age. EVen so, I opened two credit cards in the last two years and my credit score didn't move.
  16. Credit score could take a very minor hit if you open a new card due to the credit check. But as long as you aren't getting credit checks up the wazoo you probably won't even notice it. Credit checks account for 5% of your credit score. Closing an account though can really ding you especially if it's a card you've had for a long time.
  17. One interesting thing about season 2 is that it's based on a real "city" outside of LA.
  18. I agree with FVBrewerfan - skip seasons 2, 3 of True Detective and watch The Wire (which is arguably a top five show of all time) I didn't hate season 2 as much as some people but it was a really slow burn to get to the actual case. Season 3 > season 2 but not anywhere near as good as season 1 and not anywhere near as good as any season of The Wire.
  19. The Queen's Gambit is really good.
  20. New subscribers can currently get Hulu for $1.99 a month for the first year. Deal ends on Monday I think.
  21. If anyone is a sucker for those Dodo animal videos that you find on social media, there's a British show on Prime called The Dog Rescuers that's basically the same thing. I guess there's like 7 seasons but they only have season 5 available.
  22. No. But since Prime gives you other extras (shipping, music, etc..), it is a good deal anyway. We had Prime for the shipping since we use Amazon a lot. The channel is a bonus for us but they have some good shows - Fabulous Mrs Maisel, Bosch, are good. The Boys is very good.
  23. If you stick with just season 1 of True Detective you'll love it.
