  1. Just a hunch but I am guessing that Wilson isn't quite up to snuff on the defensive switching they've been doing. Also, Bud likes veterans. Also can't complain about the results so far
  2. Nice to see Corey Ray back in action.
  3. Don't forget Dante. I'm guessing Snell is a goner...if they can find someone to take him.
  4. I think the whole "bench is shortened in the playoffs" can go away. Bucks are showing that the bench can be important. I think that myth stemmed from teams that had bad benches didn't play them.
  5. This should have been your original post. So please...for the sake of the board....leave it alone until it actually becomes a thing.
  6. Kyrie whined his way out of Cleveland because he didn't want to be in Lebron's shadow. The dude has been "me first" his whole career. I would be interested to see him and Durant on the Knicks next year. I'm guessing it doesn't work at all.
  7. Only posting this because I had to look it up : The quick and dirty tip is to use “farther” for physical distance and “further” for metaphorical, or figurative, distance
  8. Here's the thing....if this is a one-off and they have regular starters the next 6 weeks don't be surprised and or offended if people come after you. It will be well-earned.
  9. Who has a higher trade value right now, Hiura or Travis Shaw? Yelich.
  10. People wanted to trade Hiura? They we're definitely in the minority.
  11. No different than Brewers IGTs. Some folks always looking for the negative unfortunately. That's just human nature. Back in the day we'd sit in the jungle or forest and scan for danger all day long.
  12. Yeah the Celtics have been shooting horribly.
  13. Yeah no one should be suggesting sending him down right now. But it's nice to know that's in your back pocket should you need it.
  14. With Hill around, Smart doesn't scare me as much. Honestly don't see him as a difference maker after such a long layoff.
  15. Well with such a long wait between games we need to discuss other things.
  16. yeah it'd be a weird move but if he's hitting under .200 in June short of releasing him I don't see how they keep him on the field. I was more curious if it was even an option (pun intended).
  17. This may be a dumb question but does Shaw have any options left?
  18. That is also right before they play Houston and Seattle too I believe so they'll need a DH.
  19. Hiura 3/4 with a double and a walk. He's striking out less and walking more albeit still not a lot. I think 22 of his 32 K's were before April 16th.
  20. For almost all of April, it looked like (perception is usually decieving, I know) that he was both flat-footing and trying to pull outside pitches. Braun is at his best when he's taking those outside pitches to right field like we're seeing the last several days. This isn't some secret, literally EVERYBODY knows this. I also think it would be to Braun's benefit if he'd go with a bat that is even an inch or so shorter and/or an ounce or two lighter, but he (obviously) loves the plate coverage he feels that huge bat provides. It is what it is. Braun is what he is. He's going to have a few of these hot streaks this year, just like he did last year and the end result will be a decent-ish looking slash line at the end of the year (probably). He switched approaches midstream, imo, without telling anyone. Teams were and still are playing him to pull. Over the last few games, he started being Braun again and hitting balls hard to center and right. This will affect his power numbers negatively, sure, and he knows this, but hitting liners for a higher avg would be what this team needs and is what has worked for him. He shouldn't keep secrets....particularly from Shaw.
  21. He's not the best hitter on the team and he's not the worst. It's May 5th. Let the chips actually fall before anointing anyone as anything.
  22. Yeah it's kind of annoying. I wish they'd make the bonus harder to get in the NBA.
  23. We just composted about 12 posts...on a thread about a comic book movie. Be better, please.
