  1. Are the Vikings having a worse season than GB based on pre-season expectations? Boy their offense looks pathetic.
  2. I thought he was leading with his shoulder. He turns his head right at contact to avoid using the crown.
  3. Yes, that part was fine. But you still can't lead with your helmet, which he did. I dunno. Doesn't look that way to me really. I thought it was a good no call. This was one of those instances where it would have been impossible for him to not lead with his head. I don't think he used the helmet as a weapon or anything.
  4. Facemask I agree with, the other call was fine. The guy had already started diving before Rodgers started his slide.
  5. What the hell was Brian Gutekunst, Mark Murphy, and whoever else thinking when they didn't pay the price for Khalil Mack and dumped a load into Jimmy Graham instead? I believe they offered the same thing the Bears did. Difference being, Oakland thought the Bears draft picks were going to be higher than the Packers picks. Oops.
  6. Watching this Bears D and wondering what the hell Ted Thompson was thinking when he took a guy like Jake Ryan. Bears so fast and athletic.
  7. Also I am guessing Philbin wouldn't want to just be named HC the day his buddy was fired. Regardless of how ridiculous it is they need to pay lip service to the search even if they think Philbin is the guy.
  8. I worry they'll finish 3 -1 or something and then hire Philbin.
  9. That was a really entertaining game until the refs showed up with about 5 minutes to play. Got ugly from there. UW certainly had their chances even in OT. When you're best FT shooter goes 0 - 3 including one in the bonus in a tight game you are in trouble.
  10. "The pick the Bucks owe the Suns is protected both front-end and back-end for 2019. Phoenix only gets the pick if it lands somewhere from 4-16. Currently Milwaukee projects in the mid-20s, so it probably won't go to the Suns this year." from @KevinSmithNBA edit: I stole this off of twitter. I'll credit the dude after I finish eating these ribs
  11. Cleaning up Hammonds' mess. Horst had to do it.
  12. Also got Dekker back.
  13. I wonder what they could get for Yelich?
  14. I'm hearing there is a 50% chance the Brewers are going for Robbie Ray but the asking price is too high. If the D-backs lower their demands then that chance may go up to 80% unless other teams get involved then chances may go down. Other teams in the mix include Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Miami, Yankees, Baltimore, Mets, Atlanta, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Minnesota, Cardinals, Royals, Rangers, Astros, Dodgers, Mariners, Padres, Rockies, Giants, Angels, Bears, Lions, Patriots, Canucks, Machester U and surprisingly the D-Backs.
  15. Pujols may not have actually been 31 years old when he had his 31 year old season. At least that's the rumor...
  16. That doesn't make any sense other than the fact that they both missed games due to personal reasons (Wall was due to birth of a child). People will reach for any rumor they can get their hands on I guess.
  17. OK they are 2 - 5- 1 in games decided by less than a touchdown. I'm not saying it was all bad luck but in one loss the kicker missed four field goals, in a tie our OLB was flagged for a penalty on the game deciding play that would not have been called three weeks later, in another loss a guy was supposed to take a knee and ended up fumbling a kick off return...so there has been SOME bad luck (and some good luck - the Bears defender dropped an INT). But taking luck out of the equation (which I never included anyway), you are still looking at a team that was very close to having 7 or 8 wins right now. They just needed to be slightly better on offense.
  18. You are the only one talking about miracles and insane play. They have five losses by a combined 24 points. You don't need miracles to overcome that point differential, you literally need to be just slightly better. Is that on Rodgers? Is that on McCarthy? Is that on the scheme? Is that because of rookie receivers? Probably a combination of everything.
  19. They didn't need Rodgers to go insane. They have lost 5 games by a touchdown or less (3 of those games were a field goal or less) and then there's the goofy tie against Minny. The defense has arguably been the best it's been in five or more years. They just needed a little more from the offense and they are probably sitting at 7 wins right now.
  20. As for a rebuild, the soft rebuild started the day Gute was hired.
  21. McCarthy getting a one year deal was the writing on the wall.
  22. To me, living off $1 million in retirement is very doable. It's the unforeseen stuff that would cause issues. So if you get in an accident or get sick that can drain savings very quickly even if you have insurance.
