  1. I haven't seen Taylor's name mentioned at all in the draft stuff I've read online. That includes Seth Davis' review of 53 players today....well not his review but different NBA Scouts talking about the top 53.
  2. My personal opinion is that long toss is probably really good for any position other than pitcher. Pitching is such a downward movement with the arm and everyone else more or less is releasing the ball up first which is what long toss mimics best. I wonder what Mike Marshall thinks of long toss? Probably has a strong opinion one way or the other http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. If he's lying (and I don't know if he's lying but I bet he's exaggerating to some degree) then it says little to nothing about Badger fans. If he's telling the truth then I hope UW can find the perpetrator(s) and ban them from any UW athletic events. I do agree that the people that comment on that article are about as deplorable as someone that would spit on an athlete.
  4. I will say that this team is not exactly 'fun' to watch, but you can't deny a 19-5 record. ------------------- They scored 39 points in 13 minutes today. Who are you? Fran Fraschilla?
  5. What were these Facebook pics all about? I don't remember that.
  6. Not everyone thinks long toss is the end all be all: http://www.pitching.com/a...th-his-pitching-velocity
  7. RyDogg, If you or your wife don't like fighting then just watch college hockey.
  8. Having been to downtown Montreal, I think that stadium would have been awesome had it been built
  9. Some people might be tired of the 1st person, Blair Witch style that's almost become cliche in horror films but for some reason I still find it entertaining. One indie film that made one of the most recent attempts is The Last Exorcism. It's about a Louisiana preacher who readily admits his sermons are more show than substance. But he justifies his "act" by saying that it's what the people need to feel good so what's the harm? He also has a similar attitude towards the exorcisms he "performs" until he sees that people are taking it upon themselves to exorcise demons and end up hurting the supposed possessed. So he gets together a documentary crew to take them on his last exorcism so the world can see what a farce it is. The problem is that this exorcism turns out to be a little more than he's used to. I thought it was film with good performances and a solid film even if the ending wasn't up to par with the rest of the movie. One other complaint...even though it was a "mock u mentary" type film using one cameraman, they had multi camera edits and some cheesy horror music in the second half of the film. I assume that was producer Eli Roth's doing because he's an idiot.
  10. For those that think Bo's style of play is only successful at home, check this out: SUCCESS AT HOME - AND ON ROAD Wisconsin's incredible success at the Kohl Center is well documented (148-11, .931 under Bo Ryan -- 4th best in the nation), but the Badgers have also been one of the nation's best on the road. • Over the last five seasons (2006-07 to present), UW has gone 28-21 (.571) in true road games. That mark ranks as the 8th-highest win percentage among BCS conference teams. Team Wins Losses Pct. 1. Kansas 37 11 .771 2. North Carolina 35 16 .686 3. Louisville 29 16 .644 4. Pittsburgh 30 17 .638 5. Villanova 34 20 .630 6. Duke 28 18 .609 7. UCLA 27 19 .587 8. Wisconsin 28 21 .571 9. Syracuse 25 19 .568 10. Georgetown 31 24 .564
  11. Well that was certainly a bare bottom spanking. Love beating Izzo. I wonder if he'll cry about that three Brust made?
  12. Everyone keeps talking about the slow offense of UW holding them back in the tourney but it was the defense that was the issue the last couple of losses. Cornell shot 61%, Davidson shot 49% overall and 50% from beyond the arc, UNLV was 50% from beyond the arc. Sometimes teams get hot. Its not like Butler had a team of Olympic high jumpers last year. They had good matchups, went on a run, and made it to the title game.
  13. It hired Gary Howard. They think he's the one that makes Packer Plus so profitable, not the fact the Packer fans are so rabid they'll pay to subscribe so they can get website content. He's bringing his guy with him. Ah, that's right. I wonder if AW was his first choice? Man, the JS Sports Writing just got a whole lot better if for no other reason than addition by subtraction. Howard's occasional pieces were awful.
  14. As long as Todd can put together coherent sentences he will be a step up from Witrado. What is Sporting News thinking??
  15. I don't think they're bored with the style of play. They've just been spoiled with a winning program for like 12 years now and don't feel the need to show up against the also rans of the Big Ten. If UW fell on hard times for two years and then made a come back in year three, that place would be packed game after game.
  16. I don't know if I buy that. They've had some big wins on the road under Bo - @ MSU (several times), @ Texas, etc. The tourney is about matchups and UW hasn't been fortunate in that regard.
  17. Apparently it stopped snowing a few hours ago here in Chicago.....that is not the case right now. It's not all that windy but the snow is coming down as hard as last night. We have at least a foot I'd say although its hard to tell with all the drifting. EDIT: Just heard on the radio that O'Hare has 19 inches. That's a lot of snow.
  18. But that's only when they're on your network right? Either in the office on on the VPN. I almost positive they can't see emails contained on hotmail. They can only tell if you've been on hotmail. They can definitely tell what you've texted and what you've sent via email, but I doubt they can see email if its through a web site. The only way they'd see email is if, for example, you had a blackberry and routed the hotmail through the blackberry server to your blackberry email. Then I think they could see them.
  19. Do not question THUNDERSNOW!
  20. Tom Skilling (ace weatherman for WGN here in Chicago) says the storm may bring "occasional lightning and thunder." Here comes.....THUNDERSNOW! http://dcist.com/attachments/Aaron%20Morrissey/2009_1218_thundersnow.jpg
  21. What kind of budget do you have? That will determine the hotel.
  22. It wasn't the old observatory was it? http://www.panoramio.com/photos/original/4414102.jpg
  23. I'd throw Harlan County, USA into the documentary discussion. Possibly Roger & Me too.
  24. That movie was intense. There was so much attention to detail and so much craftsmanship (for lack of a better word)....no wasted shots, no wasted dialog - everything had a purpose. Terrific film.
