  1. You've obviously never eaten at Sanford, Lake Park Bistro, or Coquette Cafe.
  2. I think the Brewers have outplayed thier Pythag by a wider margin than STL.
  3. The Brat Stop! Or are you looking for something nice?
  4. Poland...I think.
  5. I have watched the play again and agree with Al. There was absolutely no play on Rivas in the 9th.
  6. After today's game, Cameron has an .873 OPS (.257/.345/.528) - best OPS by a centerfielder in the national league.
  7. Rhythmic gymnastics is funny.
  8. Funny thing...I looked up Reyes' minor league numbers just the other day to see how they compared to Escobar's and they're fairly similar. Reyes walked a bit more but not significantly and Escobar's walk rate has definitely improved this year. I'll be interested to see what the Brewers do next year.
  9. As a former 400m runner I love that race. I'm also surprised it didn't get more hype.
  10. Is it just me, or is Dave Bush throwing harder this year? I thought he topped out at 91 - 92 and I've seen him hit 94+ this year....at least on the gun they use in MP.
  11. Hitting into a doule play is worse than a K. Just sayin.....
  12. Well I don't get the 'wash' comment. I was just pointing out to someone else that said he was batting .230's that he's actually hitting .244 due to his recent hit streak.
  13. Woody from Cheers.
  14. I used to love playing at Frame Park when I was in high school. I think they'll do well there.
  15. And he also hasn't been exactly Willie Mays defensively, so it's a wash. Huh?
  16. I wonder if a guy like Dempster would come cheaper? He's got very comparable numbers to Sheets this year but he's only got one year as a productive starter on his resume. He'll be 32 next year so he's not a spring chicken - I wonder if he would go for a three year $30M deal?
  17. Cameron's hitting .244
  18. Catching does slow you down but not until mid - late 20's usually. If a catcher has speed it's a bonus and it's usually a bonus that leaves after a while.

    Web Design

Quick update: I just registered at the local community college. They have a web design certificate program that consists of five classes covering nearly every topic that Brian mentioned in his post.
  20. I think the odds of Weeks improving on his offensive numbers from this year are better than the odds that Grudzie maintains those offensive numbers next year at age 38.
  21. Yeah, coach has a point. Something gets printed once and everyone takes it as gospel because hardly any of us are fortunate enough to see these guys in person. Even a lot of the sites out there don't scout guys in person. Most articles start off with "one scout said..." which is most likely directly lifted from BA's profile on the guy. It very likely could be from one game that the anonymous scout saw and the player in question could have been fighting an ankle injury or something.
  22. Are you talking track and field or any event?
  23. Weeks should be starting 2B in 2009. His value is probably not that great right now - sure, lots of GMs probably want him but based on his performance no one is probably willing to give up much to get him.
  24. He's asking for Sheets numbers for each game vs the Cubs when Zambrano was their starter.
