What does anonymity of the web have to do with anything? Does everyone have to say "My name is XXX and I live at YYYY, in case you disagree and want to beat me up. Here is my opinion:" before they say anything? Anyway, I never said that this was done for fame or to further her career or anything like that. I suspect that she knew the person who taped it (because they were likely in the room), and probably knew that the taping was going on. She probably did *not* expect or want it to end up on the internet. My suspicion is that ESPN people saw this, asked her if it was real, and then freaked out and tried to start doing damage control stuff before there was even an issue (thus, inadvertently creating the ordeal in the first place). They came up with this silly peephole/find the real killers story to protect her image when they probably didn't need to do anything. They'll probably be quiet about it from here on, now that they've realized their error. I don't really see how the video could have been shot 1) through a peephole, and 2) completely without her knowledge. I don't see how they could just conveniently "not know" which hotel it is or where it was. But really, this is all speculation, so who knows. Not much in this story makes any sense.
