  1. Walla is already a bust at 18? Tough crowd!
  2. I'd be shocked if Suppan hasn't passed through waivers many times. Whoever runs the waiver wire probably has either Suppan or Zito in his copy/paste buffer almost constantly.
  3. Haha, do you also have the "rivals" 9-game pack? I feel like I've seen Looper in every single game I've attended.
  4. So now Chubby's NY-based spokesperson Alan Hahn says the Knicks won't be making a multi-year offer to Sessions: http://www.newsday.com/sp...ions-situation-1.1394580 which is what I've been saying for weeks. Now, what to do about this PG logjam?
  5. Yep. His value is roughly equal to the 19th best starting pitcher in the majors. If we can get an ace for $10m, great. If not, Cameron makes more sense.
  6. On that note, all fans of Bill Schroeder will be happy to hear that Jerry Garcia is no longer allowed in Bill's kitchen.
  7. Its funny because its repetitive, doesn't actually say anything, and completely ignores half of the question. And it never fails - he has a response exactly like that in every chat he does.
  8. A good, old-fashioned pooper scooper maybe? Do they sell those at Pick-n-save?
  9. except Randy Moss. New question: why is it that all of the major networks' #1 guys are hated by most fans? Do casual fans (as in, the ones who don't post on message boards) actually like Joes Buck and Morgan? Also, does anyone else find that radio announcers are almost always better than TV announcers?
  10. For all fans of Onterrio Smith, I just went to the bathroom. Thought I'd share.
  11. Joe Buck is a disgusting act...FACT. But the worst announcing team ever would be one of Chris Berman, John Madden, and Joe Morgan. I don't think I could even watch that for the unintentional comedic value. And I love unintentional comedy.
  12. I wouldn't. Their peripherals are fairly comparable - Looper's GB/FB and line drive percentages are a little better, but Burns has a significant edge in strikeouts. I don't think Burns is a huge improvement, but at the same time he's not nearly as bad as a lot of people make him out to be.
  13. You mean it wasn't his laser eye surgery?
  14. At the very least, BABIP should only be used to compare hitters with themselves. His current BABIP is higher than his previous career, but you could easily attribute that to him improving as a hitter.
  15. Three days should do the trick. Its worked in the past. You see, its kind of like a golfer who usually shoots in the 110s, but then has a couple of rounds in the 120s. Golf is a grueling sport, so he needs 3 days of rest to get back down into the 110s.
  16. In addition, we collect insurance money if he's on the DL. He can be on the 60-day, so he doesn't even take up a roster spot. There's almost no upside in releasing him.
  17. Hall's salary is considerably higher than Hardy's, so we wouldn't be increasing payroll as much if we were to trade Hall. Its essentially a swap of bad contracts (though I don't think Harang's contract is that bad, personally).
  18. Flores actually looks intriguing to me. He looks like he's missed two seasons due to injury, but still strikes out a ridiculous number of hitters. I'll admit I've never actually heard of him before today, but I'm guessing he was probably a pretty big prospect at one point. One could look at this like we're adding another Mike Jones.
  19. Seattle was desperate to get rid of Washburn last year, but they couldn't even give him away. Now he's going to get another bad contract based on one good season. No thanks.
  20. Don't forget Ilyasova, and Sharpe is out for the season too. But I agree, the offseason hasn't been too bad so far. We came in with too many overpaid and/or useless old players, now we have mostly younger, useful guys. That's not a bad thing at all. Maybe there is more that could have been done clear salary, but just because the realgm trade checker approves a deal doesn't make it realistic. I do hate losing Sessions, but I'm not even convinced he's gone.
  21. Wasn't Brett Favre always horrible in domes anyway?
  22. ok thanks for your input.
  23. Hmm...wonder if there's any chance either of these two decide to play in Europe, and wind up saving us the entirety of their contract?
