  1. (St Cloud fan here) Wow...after years of futility at the Kohl Center, I decided against going to both games, and only got tickets for tonight's game...oops. You guys will probably win tonight.

  3. What do you expect? Alexander is terrible, Meeks has had plenty of chances and has done nothing, and Elson is totally useless. Warrick is the only one who has any basketball value, and he was third on our depth chart. Yes, three of them were expirings, but none were nearly big enough to attract any serious talent in return. The Bucks gave up almost nothing to get something marginally useful.
  4. The Bucks are playing for the summer of 2011, but trying to remain as competitive as possible until then. Now, after next season: http://lp.imageg.net/prod?set=key%5Bname%5D,value%5BbRYANT%5D&set=key%5Bnumber%5D,value%5B24%5D&set=key%5Bdisplaysize%5D,value%5B220%5D&load=url%5Bhttp://chains.imageg.net/graphics/dynamic/chains/p5322947_customback.chain%5D Salmons is definitely a huge upgrade - unfortunately, that isn't saying much. I'm not a fan of his at all, but he fills a need.
  5. Hey, if The Ohio State is allowed in, you never know!
  6. I'd pass on Murphy if a deal includes Ilyasova or a 1st round pick. His contract isn't some amazing deal or anything, we should be able to (and if we're not going after a big free agent, should be trying to) pick up a player like that for expirings only.
  7. I do too, actually.? I didn't go to either school, but I will root for local athletes. On an unrelated note, anybody see Brian Butch's weekend?? He got dunked over for the winning dunk in the D-League dunk contest on Friday, and then finished with 18/13 to be named All-Star game MVP.? Pass the Pep's!
  8. I love the idea of giving him a statue, but I can kinda see where people are coming from in regards to the location - I could see how a guy in a suit might look weird next to statues of players. Maybe we could just replace the statue of the Fonz instead?
  9. Don't forget Hammonds too. I think there's a decent chance Suppan is cut, if it comes down to him vs someone like Narveson.
  10. I think you're misinterpreting that. To me, all it says is that the Big Ten has more really bad teams at the bottom dragging their average RPI score down. The teams at the top and in the middle are very comparable, and if RPI is the be-all-end-all, the top three in the Big Ten would also be top three of any of those other conferences except the Big East. Clearly not "average" as you say.
  11. He's a UWGB fan.
  12. tool and radiohead playing the NFL films soundtrack with the Grambling State marching band is what they need
  13. According to Ken Tremendous' twitter, it was Tim Tebow's mom.
  14. Ridnour could probably get a pretty good player in return, if we don't mind taking a longer contract. Or, Ridnour for another expiring + draft pick would work.
  15. It probably should be the owner's responsibility to make sure the speedometer is correct. However, in the situation I'm picturing, ideally everybody would be driving far enough under the speed limit most of the time that it isn't an issue.
  16. Giving tickets for going 28 is stupid, but at the same time I kind of wish more police departments worked that way. Speed "limit" laws are incredibly stupid and poorly implemented IMO. Its ridiculous that drivers have to wonder how much over the posted limit is ok in some particular town - it's called a limit for a reason, and should be enforced as such. I'd like to see hard speed limits enforced everywhere, but have those posted limits raised to realistic speeds. Or at the very least, call it a "recommended speed" or something.
  17. I'd probably just get a google voice account with a local number that just forwards to my cell phone.
  18. Think Jarmusz deserves a ton of credit for the win, just look at Manny Harris' stat line. If you can take the conference's leading scorer and make it so his offense actually *hurts* his team, that's huge. Jarmusz doesn't give you much offensively, but he doesn't hurt you either - he only shoots if he has a good look. Reminds me a lot of Shane Battier. That all said, Wilson does deserve more time. Last night, it should have been at the expense of Taylor and Bohannon, who were very poor offensively.
  19. Also, if you didn't know, all D-League are streamed live (for free) on the official website. So when the Bucks go down by 20 in the first quarter tonight, you can watch JA instead: http://www.nba.com/dleagu...re.jsp?gameId=2020900151 (and when that's over, you can switch over to Bakersfield-Albuquerque to see Brian Butch vs Kevin Pittsnogle!) ((edit: looks like he hadn't joined the team yet, suspect he'll play tomorrow night though))
  20. From the "things that should have happened a year ago" department, Joe Alexander has been assigned to Fort Wayne. I won't expect him to dominate right away, but hopefully with some consistent playing time, he'll be pushing for a call-up. Really though, the Bucks should consider doing the same with Meeks now that Stack is in the mix.
  21. So at some point, are we going to run out of things to be undervalued? My prediction for the next big thing: AAAA superstars that haven't been given opportunities
  22. This strategy seems to be working really well for Oakland.* * yes, I know other teams are winning with defense. but I like making fun of ultra-fickle moneyball theories, even if I do tend to agree with them.
  23. Nankivil is really frustrating IMO because he's so talented. At times, I think he looks like an NBA player. He's still very good, but unfortunately has been one of the weaker parts of this team so far. You hate to see that from a guy with so much ability. As for Jarmusz, isn't he normally matched up defensively against the opponents' best scorer? I agree with you guys that Wilson should be playing more, but I'll be fair - I thought Jarmusz did a better job against Turner last night than anybody else.
  24. Billy Beane must be trying to trick people into thinking OBP doesn't matter again so he can start buying up "undervalued" high OBP players in a few years.
  25. Yeah. Those who thought this was all a ratings ploy probably have no doubt about it now. Leno was definitely egging him on with some of those questions, and didn't seem upset by the answers at all. And if it is a ploy (which I'm thinking it is), its probably not a bad idea on NBC's part - should help Conan's ratings, and all of the people who can't stand Leno might find some respect for his humor...everybody wins!
