  1. I got to see quite an eventful game from the left field bleachers. 30 hits and "2 errors" and the game only goes 3 hours. I just had the feeling that if Sheets could make it out of the first, he'd be fine. Some ugly defense on both sides. But some nice plays by Hart and Jenkins. There were a number of Atlanta fans there. Most were well behaved, except for one. He must have gotten up every inning and he did it during an at bat every time. Then he started taunting Brewer fans. The whole section got the hole cheer going. Got pretty interesting, until a cop sat in the section for the last few innings.
  2. Sheets had the only 2 wins on the East coast road trip, for what it's worth.
  3. I'm with Mass, Flash and Queen rock! I also wouldn't consider Airplane a bad movie. It is a classic. I would add the early 80's Condorman and Legend of the Lone Ranger. Also Superman 3 with Richard Prior.
  4. I'm just curious if there are any Lone Ranger fans out there? I just loved the Lone Ranger growing up in the late 70's, early 80's. I remember loving the Legend of the Lone Ranger movie in 1981 (box office bomb). Had the hat, mask, cap guns, toys and lunch box. I'm probably in the minority in my generation for liking westerns. Maybe growing up in Montana had something to do with it. WB did that pilot a few years ago, but never did the series because it would be too expensive. It was an ok movie. Now I read that Jerry Bruckheimer and some of the Pirates of the Carribean team want to do a new Lone Ranger blockbuster in 2010. I would love to see this movie happen. Anyone else?
  5. Thought this story was fitting for the Brewerfan.net crowd. Brat lovers share their passion through haiku
  6. Just noticed that Gwynn has 136 ABs now. Congrats on graduating from the Power 50!
  7. Baker is listed on the Bervard County DL and I believe it was reported that he was in extended spring training.
  8. Green continues to mash. A double and a home run push his OPS over 1.000. Was he hurt last year or just adjusting? He seemed overmatched last year in Helena.
  9. 3 walks for Ford. Hopefully, we'll see more of that.
  10. Is Heether finally coming around? He's actually above the Uecker line now.
  11. From the Huntsville Stars Site: The Milwaukee Brewers have sent outfielder Drew Anderson from triple-A Nashville to Huntsville and have released outfielder-first baseman Mike Carlin. Anderson is expected to be in uniform Monday night for the Stars for the fourth of a five-game series with West Tenn. www.huntsvillestars.com/news/news.asp?newsId=1169
  12. So with Yost coming off the DL, I wonder if someone else is going on the DL. Errecart hasn't played in a few days.
  13. The organization is now 43 games above .500. Just 3 years ago, in was 69 games below .500. Too bad Iowa won, keeping Nashville a game out of first. There is so much depth from top to bottom, and no major injuries (knock on wood). It's a fun year so far.
  14. wvpowerblkwel, don't worry about it. And keep posting. First hand accounts are rare and always welcome around here.
  15. Thanks. I certainly appreciate all of the hard work you put into this site.
  16. I think there are a few minor tweaks needed to the minor league rosters. AAA Abad moved back to active roster Mateo is listed on the active roster AA I don't think Gulin is on the DL A+ Lewis and Roberts have both pitched recently. They are listed on the DL. This puts them at 26 players. Perhaps some like Barba is on the DL?
  17. Now we just need Parra to replace Dickey in Nashville and that entire pitching staff has the potential to help the Brewers. Amazing that the top pitching staff in the PCL could actually get better.
  18. All of a sudden Crabbe is batting almost .300 while playing all over the diamond.
  19. Man, it seems like Wahpepah gets a decision every time he pitches. 7 decisions in 11 relief appearances.
  20. Four more errors for Gamel. How much longer will he be playing 3B? Of course there aren't really any openings in the OF right now in A ball. What's the deal with Caufield? I don't remember him being talked about much, but he's really hitting this year after a lackluster year in Helena last year. And before Brantley moved to 1B, he was ahead of Chapman on the OF depth charts. Could he be a prospect, dispite being old for the league?
  21. Cincy leading Houston 7-3 in the 5th. A Cincy win would push 3rd place Houston to 8 games back.
  22. That has to be the least exciting AAA lineup we've seen in a while. No Braun, no Rottino, no top pitcher.
  23. Some people around me were wondering why Yost even put Sheets out there in the 7th. He was falling behind everyone all day and was close to 100 pitches. It's amazing he had a shutout through 6 and a season high in K's. But what a great game. And a nice bargen. Terrace seats with wife and son, 7 hot dogs, 3 sodas and parking for about $30. And I never had to wait in line for hot dogs or sodas. (And the Brewers are still perfect when my son has been at a game). I haven't been a Gwynn fan, but he was impressive today, with a nice play to save a double and a no-doubt triple.
  24. Gwynn still needs 32 at bats to graduate from the Power 50. Could take him months to get that many at bats, or even longer if he gets sent down when Braun is called up.
  25. You can click on any of the names in the Power 50 to see their full profile.
