  1. Player of the Game: Yost For pulling the Turnbow before he gave up a 3-run jack to Alfonso and actually replacing him with Coco.
  2. Villy is the one guy out of the pen, besides Coco of course, I have 100% confidence in all the time. The Brewers have off days scheduled Thursday and next Monday. So I'm all for skipping Claudio's next start. I have no interest in watching him pitch at Detriot...when we can instead throw...Suppan/Cappy/Sheets at them instead of Vargas/Suppan/Cappy.
  3. Tonights Line-up Corey Hart RF J.J. Hardy SS Ryan Braun 3B Prince Fielder 1B Bill Hall CF Kevin Mench LF Damian Miller C Tony Graffanino 2B Claudio Vargas P Beat to the punch.
  4. Vargas throws so many pitches. Its rare to see the guy get out of the 6th. So we'll likely need Villy for at least 2 tonight. The RH line-up needs to treat Ted Lilly like he's Scott Olsen. A
  5. Hate to say it, but the Cubs have this feel like they might go crazy and win like 9 of 10 or something. God, I hope I'm wrong.
  6. I'm sensing a lead-off opposite field dong by #1 for the home team. Hopefully that's not all we score tonight.
  7. Agreed. He deserves it. I actually think Ned, by his hot hand theory, will start Hart. So change that to Hart-Hardy-Braun Fielder-Estrada-Jenkins Gross or TGJ-Counsell-Chris
  8. Wow. Look at Kim's splits against lefties compared to righties. sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/splits?playerId=4076 In 44 total ABs this season, lefties are hitting .400 against him. With a .775 SLG and 1.312 OPS. 16 total hits, 4 HRs and 12 Walks. Compared to righties who are hitting .091 in 40 ABs. With a meesly .159 SLG and .316 OPS. Just 4 hits, 1 HR and 4 Walks. So with that said, I expect we might see Ned load up the lefties. Maybe a line-up like this?? CF/TGJ SS/Hardy 3B/Braun 1B/Fielder C/Estrada LF/Jenkins RF/Gross 2B/Counsell P/Cappy
  9. Line-ups posted on JSonline... www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=2&date=5/31/2007&id=24300 Florida CF Alfredo Amezaga 2B Dan Uggla SS Hanley Ramirez 3B Miguel Cabrera LF Josh Willingham RF Jeremy Hermida C Miguel Olivo 1B Aaron Boone RHP Wes Obermueller Milwaukee RF Corey Hart SS J.J. Hardy 3B Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder C Johnny Estrada LF Geoff Jenkins CF Bill Hall 2B Craig Counsell RHP Claudio Vargas
  10. Prediction: While I have faith we might be able to score some runs on Obermueller...I'm predicting Wes will get an extra base hit off of Claudio and might even take him deep??
  11. Agreed. Jenkins-Hall-Hart should be the everyday OF...even against lefties. Play Mench for Jenkins occassionaly against above average lefties like the D-train's, Randy Johnson's and Cole Hamels of the world. TGJ is a solid pinch hitter and late inning defensive replacement. Still get him and Gross about 1 start a week...but 80% of the time it should be Jenks-Hall-Hart.
  12. That reminds me..the other day I was forced to throw-a-way from Brewerfan.com T-shirt. Had that thing since 01 and loved it, but I had just worn the thing out. So I think its time for bf.net one.
  13. Spurls... Batting practice is suppose to take place BEFORE the game. See you guys on Thursday. If Wes Obermueller shuts us on Thursday down I'm taking a break from baseball for 3 or 4 days.
  14. Man. Did the bullpen have a late night kegger after last night's win. No one out there can pitch today. Someday soon we'll win a series. On the positive, besides that 1st inning hic-cup by Sheeter the starters have thrown extremely well.
  15. That loss stings a tad. Too bad for Bushy. He pitched a gem.
  16. Love the way Bush is working fast, changing speeds with both his fastball and curve and hitting spots. Him and Miller seem to be on the same wave length. Hope it continues...
  17. Hudson has been very hittable in his last couple starts. Hopefully that trend continues. Gotta feeling we'll likely see Miller and Gross in this one. Its a day game after a night game for Miller and both have decent splits against Hudson. Might even see Counsell at 3B. I bet Braun has a nice bruise after drilling that railing by the camera box with his ribs??
  18. Smoltz at almost 60 pitches thru 3. Might just get a look at the Braves' shaking middle relief??
  19. WOW!!! I think Prince's homer landed in Menomonee Falls
  20. gotta feeling we might even score 2 today. who knows what tommorow my bring. baby steps. are the cubs losing?
  21. On the brightside, Capuano pitched well today. After those 3 last starts I was beginning to wonder.
  22. Smoltz and Hudson next. Not sure this team in its current state can do much against those two. You never know though. But if Wes Obermueller shuts us down on Thursday I might need to take a week off from watching baseball. That April tease was a tad too much. When is that Royals series?
  23. Have we had a 9th inning comeback yet in 2007?
  24. hmm... can you win a division on solo hrs?
