  2. This should be a fun match-up. Pumped to see it!
  3. Yo is wearing Teddy Higuera's number. Thats cool!
  4. The Giants seem like an interesting test for Yo. Their line-up is chalk full of experienced players. As a team they don't strikeout much nor are their overall hitting stats that impressive. I mean there arent too many players in that line-up under 35? Bonds, Vizquel, Roberts, Durham, Aurilla, Winn, Klesko??
  5. Yeah. I think the only hit Woodard gave up was to the lead-off batter--Otis Nixon. Lead-off double and then he completely shut them down. That game was part of a double-header sweep over Toronto that day. Also it was a fun few weeks because the Brewers got back into the AL Central Race. They got hot about the same time the Indians went stone cold and went from being 8 games back to just 2 back in a weeks time in late July/Early August.
  6. I'm trying to decide, which debut of a highly touted Brewer prospect from past 10 yrs will Yo's first start most likely resemble? Steve Woodard 07/28/97 vs. Tor (W) 8 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 12 Ks, 0 ER Jeff D'Amico 06/28/96 @Tor (W) 5.2 IP, 2 H, 4 BB, 5 K, 0 ER Ben Sheets 04/05/01 @ Hou (L) 6 IP, 6 H, 5 BB, 5 K, 5 ER Nick Neugebauer 08/19/01 @ Cin (W) 5 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 9 K, 1 ER Ben Hendrickson 06/02/04 @ LAD (L) 5.0 IP, 7 H, 2 SO, 2 BB, 4 ER Kyle Peterson 07/19/99, vs. CHW (ND) 5.0 IP, 8 H, 3 SO, 3 BB, 5 ER
  7. Took 2 of 3 from both Tigers and Twins. A winning road trip...after starting it 0-2. Heck after last Saturday some even had the team pegged for 3rd place by weeks end. The team bounced back arguably the toughest loss of the season last Saturday and a being no-hit on Tuesday. I loved the resiliency Gotta look at the big picture Ned. No need for bad vibes. Now let's get to the Keg and have a great homstand...like 7-2 or 6-3. The way they're playing its definitely a possibility.
  8. Bcin04: I have tix to that game too and would love to see Yo pitch, but I think with the Thursday off-day Yo is likely to be skipped? Looking at the schedule, my guess is that Yoster would set them up like this.. Monday 18: Yo or Villy (depends on Minnesota bullpen need) Tuesday 19: Sheets Wednesday 20: Vargas Thursday 21: Off Friday 22: Bush Saturday 23: Suppan Sunday 24: Sheets Monday the 25th: Cappy is available to come off the DL since it was backdated to June 9th. So Yo gets 1 start and after that everything returns to how it was... Of course this is all subject to change if Cappy's not quite ready by the 26th or possibly if Villy or Yo dominate on Monday
  9. Scott Baker..."Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me"
  10. Lots of great performances out there today. Potential player of the games... Sheets (just solid) Estrada: 3 hits and 2 RBIs Hart: His late dinger was the winning run. 2 hits and 2 rbis Shouse: big out against Curtis in a jam Spurling: That 7th inning whodini act was masterful mikevan's office bathroom: come thru huge today Just a huge team win!
  11. mikevan...tell your boss you had Indian food for lunch
  12. no clue how spruls did that? i'm pretty sure its the mikevan to the bathroom karma
  13. Yes! mikevan anytime the Tigers get runners on now...you have to go stay in the bathroom
  14. The law of averages says Shouse is going to get this guy out, right? Thats what i keep telling myself..at least
  15. Sheets your all heart kid. We love you. Great game...now let the pen get this one for you.
  16. Wild Thing. You Make My Heart Sing. The way you balk and throw wild pitches with brewers on 3rd base. ledezma i think i love you
  17. Yeah. I think it would be Capellan. This Tigers team is one of the best. No way this was going to be easy even up 4. Time to tack some on
