  1. YES! Nice job CoCo. Everyone do this dance http://static.flickr.com/51/118310426_8b096b55e1_o.jpg
  2. I'm standing-up in my office giving Sheeter a standing ovaition as he heads to the dugout in the 8th. Kinda weird cause I'm gamecasting? The guy has pitched a gem. 115 pitches. He's obviously toasted. Wish he could have got through that 8th.
  3. Sheets is at 102 pitches thru 7. Have him pitch the 8th or go to Derrick?
  4. Hurricane. I wore my Brewers gear to a game at Citizens last year. You should be safe. This isn't the Vet and those aren't the Eagles and the Brewers aren't the Cowboys or Redskins or NY Giants. You might get a little ribbing. Nothing life threatening like being in he 700s at the Vet in opposing team gear. Just be respectful. If you start getting annoying or loud then they will turn on you. If they start heckling you just yell "Cowboys Suck!" That'll win em over.
  5. You dont run on Jenks, you foolish Hawaiian.
  6. I think in the past, most labeled his April 17th start in Cincy as bad...giving him a bad/good back and forth through his first 6 starts. He's been good in his last two so that kinda throws off the pattern. Citizens isnt a ballpark you'd imagine to Bush to throw a gem at, but the number of ground ball out compared to fly ball outs in his last two starts (21-11) are promising. If he can keep that up... Keep Rollins and the Flying Hawaiian off the bases. No Howard, but Utley and the Bat can still drive folks in. Rowand has had a nice start.
  7. This feels weird having future IGTs up before the current game ends? Like we're messing with destiny? Can we have Brian or some moderator lock those threads until the game before it ends? Baseball is all about superstitions. Don't mess with the baseball gods.
  8. In early May of 2004, I went to Shea Stadium on a Saturday afternoon to see a little Brewer baseball and what transpired was the craziest game I'd ever been too. Anyone remeber this? Adrian Hernandez started got pulled in the 5th having given up no hits, but had walked 7? Adrian also batted right-handed in his first plate apperance, but went lefty after that. We gave up little only 2 hits, but 4 runs thanks in large part to Hernadez's walks. Brewers won 6-4. Wild Game
  9. agreed. you gotta like the pitching match-ups in the first two games, but with their line-up its never going to be easy.
  10. Now...its time for a nice relaxing day off and then 3 games against NY Mets. Good to see our Top 3 going against the bottom 3 of their rotation. No Glavine or Maine. Still that line-up is probably the biggest challenge in the NL. Likely gonna need to score some runs!
  11. Havent seen the Brewers' yet, but Washington Post has the Nats line-up for tonight posted. blog.washingtonpost.com/nationalsjournal/ Tonight's lineup: # = corresponding field position Lopez -- 4 Guzman -- 6 Zimmerman -- 5 Church -- 7 Kearns -- 9 Schneider -- 2 Fick -- 3 Logan -- 8 Simontacchi -- 1
  12. Awesome. I think we miss Hill? Bergmann is lated to pitch Wednesday and Hill's next start is Friday at RFK.
  13. The last time Simontacchi started a game in Milwaukee it was June 18, 2003 and the Brewer starting line-up that day was... E Young 2B S Podsednik CF R Sexson 1B G Jenkins LF J Vander Wal RF W Helms 3B E Perez C R Clayton SS G Rusch P http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MIL/MIL200306180.shtml
  14. Thanks to MLB Extra Innings, I've actually watched a few of Chico's starts this year. The kid is basically making the jump from Double A to the MLB and doesnt really seem to trust his stuff much yet at this level. Does a lot of nibbling, so is prone to high number of walks...especially in critical situations when he tries to be too fine. So times I'm not even sure the guy throws any strikes?? Patience at the plate will key tonight.
  15. Claudio Vargas (5) With his nasty curve bending (7) Brings number nineteen (5)
  16. sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/gamelog?playerId=6020 It looks like so far in 07, Bush has been on the every other game is a good start plan. If that holds true tonight we're in for a Bush gem.
  17. Everytime i see Reyes and his hat...it reminds me of Jeff Bennett. I think we might have a Gary Bennett siting on Wednesday. For us, I'm thinking Gross will over Mench. I'm still guessing Hart gets another day off. Pittsburgh will be starting 3 lefties against us Thursday thru Saturday, so he's going to be seeing a lot of action soon. Also day game after a night game so Damien Miller is also very possible.
  18. You see the 2000 Olympics Gold Medal Game? If we get in that playoff type of must win situation trust me we want Sheets on the mound.
  19. I think Neddy is just giving him the old Bill Hall treatment from a few weeks ago...2 days off in a row and then hope for a hot streak. Maybe like Billy after the 2 game benching...Weeks will blast a grand slammy on Tuesday.
  20. Alright Villy! Just throw it like you did on Monday
  21. Good baserunning that inning by the Crew. Weeks is pushing a tad. I'm predicting he gets a Yost day off in Houston
