  1. Nine Inch Nails, Downward Spiral tour at the MECCA in 1995. Just turned 15. It was a great show. Was never a fan of Reznor's later music but at the time I really liked the Downward Spiral. I remember a really impressive audio/video mix, and just a crazy vibe in the place.
  2. I've watched every week so far. I can't stand the relationship building parts. I don't know why, they just seem so forced. When it focuses on news and how everything comes together, I let my suspension of disbelief take over and it's an okay show. I usually ruin shows like this for myself by over analyzing how things are happening. I find that the less I know about the actual subject, the more likely I am to be entertained. That way my brain isn't shooting down everything they are doing.
  3. I've been an MLB.tv subscriber for several years now. It is nice to be able to watch the Brewers daily while out of market. That said, the service has been subpar for a while. My preferred method of watching games is to either watch it after completion or wait a few innings and then start watching in DVR mode, so I can skip over the breaks between innings. Problem is, and this has happened every single game this year, is that when I wait a few innings the game will hiccup (spinning circles) and then skip to live, spoiling the entire game. Every single time. This is a widely known issue on the support forum but it has never been addressed. It's always, "Your feedback has been submitted." -- Brewers game I was watching just crashed while I was typing this. It's almost like they are trolling me. Also, there was a major outage last night, causing all games to be unavailable for everyone. Their response? An apology email, extending a 40% off deal at the MLB shop. "We're sorry, pay us more money. We cool? Cool." First world problems to be sure, but I did pay for a service and I'm just not getting what I paid for. Unless there are some major changes before the end of the year, I won't be back with MLB.tv next year. Sad because it could be amazing if they could just get it right.
  4. I've been watching too many space documentaries. What if our perceived big bang was the internal explosion of a supernova resulting in a black hole? Meaning, everything inside that particular black hole was our universe. We can't see outside it because light doesn't escape. Astronomers are able to look back in time pretty close to the big bang, but they unable to see what happened immediately following the big bang because it's just a mass of white hot plasma. Could this be matter from a different universe being crushed and recycled, which later cooled and became our universe? I'm sure there's a simple explanation of, "No, because ______." I don't know enough to prove or disprove it. Random thought...
  5. I remember way back when, when a certain Brewers minor league pitcher was destroying his competition. Tim Dillard was a beast in 2005 for Brevard County, throwing five complete games in his 28 starts that season, racking up a .977 WHIP and 2.48 ERA. At the time, his strong performances were basically overlooked. He didn't have the stuff to get big league hitters out, people said. Well maybe they were right. Thanks for giving it a shot, Tim.
  6. I got a kick out of the Fielder misplay early in the game. There was a quick shot of Jeter after the throw and you could lip read "Are you ____ing me?" No, Derek, not at all. Great game for the NL, Braun with a solid showing. The other Missouri team's fan base showed some class by not booing him, was nice to see that.
  7. Did you even watch the video? http://sports.yahoo.com/video/player/news/Graham_Bensinger_InDepth/29838275#news/Graham_Bensinger_InDepth/29838275 Kemp: "Of course I think I should have won it, anyone in my position would feel that way." "Braun was deserving." "He had a great season, is having a great season this year, he hasn't lost his swag, he's one of my favorite players and I enjoy watching him play" With 15 of the 54 posts in this topic, you certainly agree with yourself. Non-story in my opinion.
  8. That dude mimicking the pre-swing routine of Green definitely made my day.
  9. No. http://articles.latimes.com/2012/mar/30/sports/la-sp-0331-ryan-braun-20120331
  10. Taint McFadden's mom.
  11. What current issues? I've been way out of the loop. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/06/26/diamondbacks-remove-play-by-play-man-daron-sutton-from-broadcast-booth-for-personal-matter/ Sutton lost the Dbacks job after being critical of their personnel moves on the air. Apparently they had a closed door meeting, Sutton got told he was a nobody and that he wouldn't be calling their games anymore.
  12. No, no, 10,000 times no. Sutton's Keys the the Game on 5/27, Brewers at DBacks: Paper plates. Yes, paper plates. Because sometimes when you have guests over, you want to bring out the nice china set. The Milwaukee Brewers are not those guests. They get paper plates. ...
  13. He's plotting revenge with Jamie's squirrel.
  14. Sasquatch took a picture of Ryan Braun. *Stolen from Dos Equis commercial
  15. Guessing he's a Marty.
  16. Bryce Harper just hit a HUGE bomb to center in Toronto, easily 30-40 feet above the 400 ft mark (off the Blackberry sign). If this guy isn't the best player in baseball in three years, I'll be shocked.
  17. Whoever that is with the adidas jacket, Kangol hat and huge gold chain and glasses on the left, is awesome. That's all. http://i.imgur.com/uitiB.jpg
  18. Pete Campbell is good at taking punches to the face. Definitely thought it was going to be Sally's friend that was calling Megan on the phone, breathing and hanging up. Definitely got a laugh when Roger said it was him. I can't really stand that Joan is sitting there with the rest of the partners, acting like its no big deal that she is there after what she did. Not sure how she could live with it, but I guess there is confidence that comes with securing your life financially.
  19. I'd imagine this could have all been fixed if you had mentioned your situation to the person doing their job instead of saying "[expletive deleted --1992]" to them. They likely would have pointed you to where you could have gotten in to the stadium without waiting.
  20. Vin Scully is really amazing at what he does. During a Hart at bat earlier in the game, Scully went from mentioning that Hart's father is known as one of the best softball players ever from the state of Kentucky, to mentioning that two years ago Hart got corrective contact lenses, to the fact that he has a four leaf clover tattoo with the initials of his children on the leaves and his wife in the middle, and that Corey also likes to collect comic books. All in one at bat. When Axford came on, he mentioned that he is Dutch from his mother's side, and that his grandparents came over to Canada right before WWII. It's amazing how he is able to come up with this stuff, on every single player.
  21. Yeah I have gotten shirts from Ross in the past as well, very fast service. This was a couple years ago though, maybe he's not doing it anymore.
  22. Sutton's 'Keys to the Game' yesterday were: Paper plates. Yes, paper plates. Because sometimes when you have guests over, you want to bring out the nice china set. The Milwaukee Brewers are not those guests. They get paper plates. So glad we have BA nowadays... that kind of stuff is just annoying.
