  1. He had great hair in the preseason press conference.
  2. Well this discussion is about whether or not he will make the HOF, and old fogeys vote on that, and they do care about that stuff.
  3. Lived in Whitefolks Bay for about a year (five years ago), nice area with lots of retail around, easy highway access. Not a bad place to live.
  4. I guess it comes down to, what else does he do? Does he just hit homeruns? Has he ever led a team on a deep postseason run? MVP votes, etc? Not a chance imo.
  5. I don't care what they do with their hair as long as they play good baseball.
  6. Stephen Strasburg is 6-16 with 3 doubles and a dinger at the plate this year. 1.162 OPS.
  7. I bought it yesterday as well and noticed the download was going slower than it should. I found this fix, it cleared it up instantly, give it a try if its still coming down slow. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4926754160 Fun game so far.
  8. A different thread just reminded me of this, but I didn't want to derail it so I put it here. I definitely was given an Edgar Diaz baseball card from a Police Officer when I was a kid. Once of those Police baseball cards. Do they still do that?
  9. Block just puts me to sleep. I almost forget a game is going on when I'm listening. He does have some tough shoes to fill, but really I'd almost rather listen to the opposing broadcast when Block is on.
  10. Another jack today. 9 in 7 days.
  11. Wil Inman never made it after an amazing half-season in Brevard. He had average stuff at best.
  12. I think every team outside of Detroit has those types of situations.
  13. Dana Eveland brought up from AAA to start for the Orioles tonight against the Rays.
  14. Except when you go back and look at the games the Bucks needed to win down the stretch to get in to the playoffs. They fell flat on their faces. They basically got swept in round (-1).
  15. Aoki gets the bloop single to left. Interesting swing, as always.
  16. Broken bat, 2 out single by Stubbs. Votto hit a short double just over Weeks' glove that kind of died in right field, Hart took a while to get to it and the throw in was awful and there was no relay home. Stubbs scored. Another blooper and Votto scores. All this after 5 straight k's from Brewer pitchers.
  17. This Hit by Pitch and Bountygate are in two different leagues. (Literally) If Hamels knew before the game that he could get extra cash for plunking Harper, and that was his reason for doing it, then yeah you can equate the two. The difference is the motivation. I don't like the fact that hitting batters is the old school, traditional way of doing things for some players. It's not competition. It's a waste of time and it hurts your chances of winning. Not a fan.
  18. Milwaukee, like many cities, is a winning town. Bring a winner and it will succeed.
  19. He was convicted for obstruction of justice in a court of law. It typically means someone is going to prison, but in this case, Bonds has no jail time.
  20. Wow, I suddenly feel much better about trading him away from my fantasy team yesterday.
  21. Armando Galarraga sure wishes this was the case.
  22. Cubs are up 8-0 on Wainright and the Cards in the 3rd inning. I don't feel as bad about Greinke getting 'rocked' yesterday, looks like the Cubs are just hitting well as a team for the moment.
  23. Too much stock is put on one year, because of single games like today. Small sample conundrum.
