    It's a little early to call this offseason a loss. Lets see who we sign and trade for. Would i have liked to offered Arby to Lopez sure! But if not offering him arby gets us better pitching i am fine with it.

    I doubt we see J. Johnson traded at least not till Roy is traded. The marlins would get more once he is off the market!

    I think they'd want Gomez and Gamel to get the deal done. I like Johnson and would like to get him but to the common brewer fan this is not going to be a move that they are going to get or like! I still have friends that don't understand the Hardy trade!

    With a win the brewers will win there first series since june. I think this could be a turning point for this team. If they could take two of three from the first place Dodgers in LA i think it could spring board them and give them some more confidence. Lets get some runners on for the big boys.

    I am just hoping that the brewers do not get swept. LA is hard to beat in MIL. but in LA LA land it's going to be a chore!

    Doug, please keep both Escobar and Gamel! I like that move much better, like someone said this team in not only one good pitcher away from the playoffs they might be two strong pitchers away if Bush does not come back strong. I would much rather just sit this trade season out and look at 2010. I don't think that this division is that strong where one team is really going to run away with it that much. We might even if we don't make a blockbuster trade still find a way to squeak in. One a side note can someone please answer this question for me. I am in a minor argument with a friend he says that 1) JJ can not play third and 2) Gamel if we keep him could not learn to play LF or RF? Could we ever see a lineup like this. 1) Escobar (ss) 2) Hardy(3rd) 3) Braun (RF) 4) Fielder (1st) 5)Gamel (LF) 6) Hart (CF) 7)Weeks(2nd) 8)Kendal/catcher

    Personally, not looking for the brewers to make a trade for Doc. I would rather just keep both Gamel and Escobar and take our chances. The only way i would trade Gamel is if we could talk J.J. in to signing a logterm deal and for J.J. to play third. I know that we have tried the whole "lets move a player away from there strong point to fill a spot we need" approach. But i'm thinking he can handle third and still lets us put escobar at SS.

    Not so sure you'll see Adam's playing time decrease. I would assume this move helps them move Youk back to his natural position of 3rd base. LaRoache should be full time starter at 1b with Big Papi the DH. Am i wrong? Like the move for the Redsox even if he does not start it's going give them some pop off the bench.

    I am also fine with sending Gamel back down to triple A. It's not helping him at all when we are not using the DH to be sitting the bench. Plus as everyone else has said McGehee is playing fine and i like where ever he plays. Really hoping that we can start to win more and knock the indians out of any shot of the playoffs. I want Cliff Lee and Derosa in Brewer uniforms before the trading deadline.

    Really hoping for a good game tonite. I still wish we could get some more at bats for Gamel and really hope that Hardy is going to get better soon. But i've seen worse lineups.

    Glad that he decided to go down to AAA. It's nice to have a guy to call up when or if we need him.

    Looper interests me a little and if the price was right i'd like him. Good depth in my eyes! But i'd still like to add another starter that's more then a mix of Bushy and Suppan. As the days tick i keep thinking Sheets just might be coming back on a one year deal or maybe two year deal and hit FA again when he is healthier.

    If the wanted to trade Melky and either Swisher and Nady then i would take the deal. I think personally it'd be nice to have a little depth in the OF and i have always loved Nady and Swisher and like others have pointed out Swisher would provide that depth at OF and backing up at 1st base for Fielder. The more i think of it i might even do a Swisher for Cammy stright up. Would the Yankees do that?

    It is still snowing very hvy and with white out conditions here in kenosha. They have said on the news that there is only seven inches on the ground but i do not think that's close. I have been out there twice and it's still filled back in. The wind is so strong that it's making it nearly impossible to get an accurate reading on snowfall. Racine is pretty bad too!
