  1. Who knew? Another groundball for Mulder. Cool thing also is that the Cardinals are 1-8 with RISP today! They're more clutcher, though.
  2. They could buy a break if they'd work the count today. They're not going to get anything more if they don't make Mulder elevate it. Groundballers get better as a game goes on for the most part.
  3. That's the difference. Mulder is a GB machine.
  4. Whereas, while we have no players who are as good as their big three, but we are more solid 1-8. This is exactly what whoever posted in that thread the other day said that the Brewers weakness was an elite hitter. The Cardinals have three of them, and it's tough to navigate them with guys on base. It really doesn't matter who else is in that lineup with those three. They're going to run away with the division with a Miles/Eckstein DP combo.
  5. You think Rolen's a HOF'er?? A couple years and he's a lock. Possibly the greatest all-around 3B of all time, certainly for his era (I count A-Rod as a SS).
  6. Sure, and they'll probably get more. All I'm saying is that the Brewers aren't as good as the Cardinals, either lineup-wise or on the mound today. Some seem to think the Cardinals score every time they have runners in scoring position, but they don't. No one does.
  7. Right now, that's one of the big differences between us and the Cardinals. Again. They have Mark Mulder, who is a very good pitcher. The Brewers have a solid lineup, but they don't have three Hall of Famers in the middle of it and they're not facing a fifth starter.
  8. Do you pinch hit for Ohka? I do. Obviously. It'd be a nice time for Hart to get an AB.
  9. More of that difference right there. We can't do anything with bases loaded and two outs. No, I think that's more of the Mulder/Ohka thing. And Scott Rolen might be a Hall of Famer in a couple years.
  10. Or doe the "sample size" not justify it yet. I say you play Weeks unless he's tired. Seven games into the season, I doubt that'll be the case.
  11. That's an area where this team hasn't shown much growth yet this season, and it's frustrating. Six games and you're frustrated? That's not even close to enough time to find out if they've improved. 162 games: it's not for the faint of heart.
  12. The difference between the Cards and the Crew Mark Mulder, as opposed to Ohka?
  13. Well, at least they had a semblance of an inning that time. Next step: runs.
  14. anytime you want to sit Brady Clark and insert Bill Hall as the everyday CF you just let you know. Thanks. I like Bill Hall, but I'd hope Ned would pass on that request.
  15. Just one of those days. The hits weren't falling in. They made Vargas work (101 pitches in six innings), and up until that four pitch walk, Cappy was excellent. Weeks dropping that ball obviously played a part in that, though. The bats will wake up, though, hopefully some warm weather will help a little in the StL. Geoff Jenkins is the worst 3 hitter in baseball other than aubrey huff. No he isn't.
  16. Obviously, the lack of runs thus far is because of the uniforms.
  17. Hall will start against Mulder tomorrow. I'm more concerned that Hart can't buy an AB right now.
  18. Well, only change in the lineup today is Miller in place of Moeller.
  19. unless 13 of us want to streak across the field with each character of "brewerfan.net" painted on one of us. I call the "dot".
  20. Do you have an FTP site anywhere that I can upload it to? It's about 37 megs. No. I have a Putfile, but I think the max you can upload to that is 25 megs. Maybe I'll just rip the audio stream and put that up there, so that at least that will be intact if they do indeed pull it off YouTube.
  21. I have to say that outide of an Opening Day, that was probably the most electric atmosphere I have experienced at Miller Park. Walking out of the park following the game, people were going nuts on the sidewalk, high-fiving, yelling "who's 5 and 0?", etc. It was really cool. The game was phenomenal, seeing Prince go deep was awesome, and outside of Sheets on his 18 K day, I don't think I've ever seen filthier stuff than DLR had in person.
  22. Any way to download this?
