  1. I envy and applaud Michael Barrett for being in the position to do that. I think it has zero effect when it comes to "motivation", etc., but that picture puts a smile on my face.
  2. Ugh I hate this team. The solution to this problem may simply be to not watch them anymore.
  3. They should be able to take out some aggression with the bats after playing in that mammoth stadium against guys like Lima and Gonzalez on Fri and Sat. This should be a really fun game, because they should score a bunch of runs against Lima.
  4. I'm pretty much for anything but a pitcher in the first round now. I think Cody Johnson is the guy I want, even though he'll probably take a while, they have time to burn with the young OF's they already have.
  5. He's obviously Carlos Lee playing a prank on an off day! How's it going Caballo?
  6. It beats a labrum! Or whatever crazy thing Mike Jones had. (That is, if it's true.)
  7. I know a lot about George Brett for some reason, I was always a fan of him when I was young. I think because his last name is the same as my first. I lucked out if Hafey/Bottomley was the other one, I was looking at my Baseball Encyclopedia when I saw the question. I don't have it, which is why I tried to get it right away when I saw the prize. I'll send you my address, either via e-mail or PM.
  8. George Brett/Hal McRae in 1976 for KC Chick Hafey/Jim Bottomley in 1931 for St Louis Bill Mueller/Manny Ramirez in 2003 for Boston
  9. He wasn't "OVERRATED" - some people thought he had value, and some didn't. No one ever, ever said he was a great player. If they did, they were likely joking. I don't know how you can say he "hasn't succeeded" after 30 something AB's.

  11. Cirillo at first? Yeah, that's great. Yuck.
  12. Oswalt's due to get roughed up a little bit.
  13. http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20060415/capt.nyff10604151913.brewers_mets_baseball_nyff106.jpg Did Prince learn some of Durrington's ninja moves?
  14. Ohka, to shut that offense down like he did. It was lovely to see the bats come to life a little, too, but Ohka was the player of the game for me.
  15. Man, I'm sick of Jenks sucking so bad. Should've tried to go the other way with that one.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. Trachsel's at 79 pitches through 4. There's a chance that this is the game when they finally score 7 or 8.
  17. There ya go. Screw that stupid bunt and score runs the right way! Nice call, Ned.
  18. I'm thinking that maybe when it's a guy as slow as Delgado running, maybe Weeks should just run it over there himself, or flip underhand like a pitcher. He just needs to learn to take some time, it seems like when he catches it, he wants to throw it right away rather than doing hit like a "pro" and taking his time and lobbing it over.
  19. Already worth giving Miller the day off today. If Moeller can just hit even .250 it'd be nice. The way he's hitting right now makes it harder for teams to just walk Prince, like they did with Branyan, because there is no hitter behind him. He probably should go back up and reclaim his spot in the order.
  20. Clark didn't go on his own. Ned called the hit and run for some reason. He's on a mission to turn Hardy into Eckstein. Let him swing the stick - it's the 1st inning. Stop with the "make Hardy into a situational hitter" crap.
  21. Other team is more clutchier I just gotta say, this line rules. They played alright tonight for the most part, go get 'em next time.
  22. Even without seeing him play, my mental image of Holmberg was similar to KG. That's cool. Inman rules.
  23. Edmonds sucks at defense. Man, he's terrible.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
