  1. He has a bit of a track record of suckiness, though, a season and a half's worth, to go along with a season and a half of goodness. I don't think he should be a lock, but maybe his salary dictates that he is.
  2. That's correct. If it's not on the flagship, it's not on XM, also if it's a split squad it's not on XM.
  3. I'm starting to feel good about Clark again, now that he is working deeper counts again, maybe '04 Brady's going to make a reappearance - I like that one better than '05 Brady, though I'll take them both.
  4. I think Bush alone is going to turn out being worth trading Overbay for. And I think Jackson will be better than Bush. Moustaches rule.
  5. Justin Thompson has some sweet stuff. I think he might make the team.
  6. Just don't let it rain tomorrow, I want to watch the game.
  7. I haven't found a single Brewers game on XM yet. If they're not on the flagship station, they aren't carried. It isn't XM's fault. They also don't carry split squad games (and I know this isn't one, but for future reference).
  8. Moeller comes up with the big HBP.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  9. To be fair to Rivera, he hasn't even had a chance to fail in the big leagues. He's got a total of only 197 AB's. Chad Moeller has now proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that he can't hit a lick. I'd say for sure that Rivera has more power than Moeller.
  10. Gotcha. I still don't even think he's ready for AAA, I don't know if he's even ready for AA. He only hit .255/.314/.359 in A-ball. I hope they don't decide to rush him a level based on a smattering of AB's in spring training, because it could further screw up his development, which isn't going that well to begin with.
  11. Palmisano hasn't even seen AA yet. I don't think he's going to break camp with the team. Rivera should, though.
  12. I meant, who's going to do the play-by-play in this thread? Ohhhhhh. That is a fine question.
  13. Also, for XM subscribers, the Angels game will be on XM 182, and the Giants game will be on XM 185.
  14. Daron in one of them, and I'd imagine the Angels guys in the other one.
  15. I didn't have a clue that Samardzija was a pitcher. Cool stuff.
  16. Mine: 1. Matt LaPorta, Florida - He's my favorite kind of player to watch. 2. Evan Longoria, LBSU - I like the Dirtbags, and he may have brought a more patient approach to the table. 3. Ian Kennedy, USC - See above. 4. Andrew Miller, UNC 5. Jared Hughes, LBSU - I like the tall guys, especially guys who profile to be GB pitchers. 6. Matt Antonelli, Wake - I like the CF idea. 7. Cody Johnson, HS - Pretty high for a HS'er for me, but apparently sweet power. 8. Robert Woodard, UNC - I just like the guy, this is favorites. 9. Mark Hamilton, Tulane - I love that line on the Cape in '05. 10. Colin Curtis, ASU
  17. I did watch it, and the couple times I have seen LaPorta in this series I have been impressed. He certainly is the kind of guy I like, and I think he is a good enough athlete to play a corner OF spot. I thought Miguelez's stuff was nice, as well, and I kind of liked U of M's LH specialist guy that I saw today (Lane), though he got knocked around a little. Jeroloman has a bit of a Grieve-like approach (trying to get on), as opposed to maybe a Dunn-like approach (looking for a pitch to destroy) that LaPorta has. These are great games to watch, though, a ton of these guys could play in MLB eventually.
  18. I think I'm going to watch the replay of Florida/Miami tonight on Sunshine at 10:30 to see LaPorta. EDIT: Jack Z. just said he is there right now scouting this series, cool stuff.
  19. Cristian still has the tools to make Bowden drool, apparently.
  20. Canada is still a underscouted region, there's only a few teams that scout heavily there, like the Brewers, Twins, and maybe a couple more. I guess the real advantage of DFE is to be able to watch a player develop for a year without having to pay him. This class looks better than last year's, as Smith could really develop into an impact hitter.
  21. Yeah, it'd be sweet if you could get access to the stats at MLB Press Box, so people who actually have a use for them could see them. Way to go Jamie.
  22. I like Jermaine Clark a lot. I'd much rather have him around than Sorensen.
  23. He's saying that individual "runs" is a meaningless statistic. That's the way I took it, anyhow.
  24. I really like Longoria because of my penchant for Dirtbags, but I have some concerns about his discipline. Anything interesting that scouts have said about him, Patrick?
