  1. doesn't seem like the most conventional coaching if you ask me... It's called "Tracyball", and it's also called stupid in most circles.
  2. The good thing about 9 K's is that Perez had to throw almost 100 pitches in 5 1/3 innings. They made him work all day, and now he's gone.
  3. Davis was awesome, now just get him a no decision, at least.
  4. Does it really matter that he gives up runs in the first inning once in a while? Isn't it just better that he gives up a small amount of runs?
  5. Anyone watching Schilling during commercials? He's dazzling today.
  6. Oh, well, he might have gotten his hand in there. And, Jack Wilson is sick with the glove.
  7. Yeah, they showed them. I only cried a little bit when Yount came out.
  8. I loved The Aristocrats, and I liked Murderball a lot, too.
  9. Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I was disappointed, that's for sure. I have a Wes Helms autographed picture on the top of my TV for trubite, though. I also have an autographed ball with his and Butch's autos on it - possibly my prized possession.
  10. Is it odd to get goosebumps from clicking on an IGT? I just did. Does anyone know if the player intros are going to be televised? Were they last year? I was there, and that may have been the coolest thing I have ever witnessed at a game.
  11. cbs4boston.com/sports/loc...71718.html Philadelphia released INF Tomas Perez and assigned INF Chris Coste to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Perez has been a utility infielder with the Phillies since 2000, while Coste, a non-roster invitee who led the Phillies with a .463 batting average in spring training.
  12. My friend also said he was going to sign up. This could be a race for the final spot.
  13. One of my friends said he "thinks he's interested", so we'll see if he signs up.
  14. You know, I don't drink anymore, but sometimes when I read this thread I wish I did.
  15. Yeah, everything but Fernandez could probably be called a positive tonight. Maybe Weeks' defense, but that's a given.
  16. Rottino's really gonna be a fun story when he gets up to the bigs later this year.
  17. Yeah, I know that Schroeder is dead wrong - I'm right with you there. I'm just saying that it was a combo of those things that made him hit so good.
  18. Couldn't you also say that luck may have played a part in that, as well? He was making so much contact and got so few hits, and that luck turning around, coupled with his more pull-happy approach, turned him into Derek Jeter for the second half?
  19. Fernandez is sweet. That's going to be a nice guy to have stashed in long-relief.
  20. I sent out an e-mail to a couple friends, we'll see if they join or not.
  21. As far as HS hitters go, this guy sounds pretty advanced. Snider figures to be a big winner on draft day, too. In a draft class light on hitters, Snider's sweet swing, sound approach, athleticism and power potential offer a package that major league organizations will have a hard time passing up in the first two rounds of June's draft.
  22. If he can do those things, I say you try your hardest to make him a starter again. I think he can be a solid LH reliever, just like B.J. Ryan was or Mike Gonzalez - his stuff is as good or better than those guys.
