    My point was that, with all the great hitters the yanks have had(Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, ect), none of them ever reached 3k, and that just struck me as odd and made me appricate how rare 3k is. I never said they would care.

    Apparently the New York Yankees have never had a player hit 3,000 hits in his career as a Yank. Really makes ya realize how lucky we were to have Robin.

    I think that's it in a nutshell. The reason some folks think TH does a bad job is because he won't ask the "tough questions" or hold Ned responsible for anything. Is it right to hold him to that standard? I donno. But you are right, he just seems to basically write a gloss over, AP story. I guess the real question is if so many of us admit that MJS is an inferior newspaper(which many seem to have that opinion here), why would we expect anything more than an inferior beat reporter?

    Yea, just got hit by a huge wave of rain here in walworth Co. Strong stuff. You guys in MKE better prep yourselves again.

    I'm callin it. He gives up 1 hit thru 6 innings. We score 3 in the 7th off of a reliever and win by 2.

    Hooray for regular work hours tomarrow! I also get to watch the game. I don't remember the last time i got to see the brewers play in Coors.

    You don't think chicago's dirty, or you don't think they have traffic problems? I think both are pretty true, but not as bad as NY or Philly.

    I can't wait to see who the Brewers draft. This is seriously the first time i have been this excited about the draft before it happened. Anybody else getting jumpy?

    Excellent to hear. Smoltz is one of my favorite pitchers of all time, glad to see he'll be around for one more year.

    Everytime i do the Club level, i get the nachos. They are the greatest. However, i only go up there when my dad wants to go to the game, as i am el poor-o.

    That's exactly it. I never thought I'd buy a foreign car, but after 12 years of non-stop problems with the crap that GM sells, I had enough. Switched to Honda 4 years ago, and haven't had a problem since. It will take a lot more than a few good reports, to ever get me to reconsider. Bingo, same thing here. It didn't matter if it was Ford or GM, both always gave me and my family problems. We switched to Toyota about 6 years ago and have never had problems yet. They just seem to be better made cars. The Prius went on sale in 2001, LONG before any other competitors were making hybrids.

    I'm gonna turn 25 this september(a year after our WS team). I'd just like to see us in the playoffs for once. I don't care how we get there, as long as we get in. Once you are in, anything can happen.

    Well, Seth proved me wrong tonight. It's nice to see a win steak start up and see the bats wake up. Let's get it done tomarrow.

    It was the most applause i have ever seen for an opposing pitcher leaving the game. That may not be saying alot, but it was noticable to me.
