Ooof that Fox Sports news is not great. For me, being in MN, it's not a deal breaker, but it is very unfortunate. I do like watching Twins games, and now that won't be possible. I'm hoping they get something done. I feel like they will, but they will have to play some hardball (pun intended).

As soon as I saw the article, I thought to myself, wouldn't be spring training without a couple of these stories. I really do hope it sticks and is a good pitch for him, but I try not to get too hyped up.

I too am a big fan of MLB.TV. I'd say I've had the service for a good 7-8 years now. I've never had any issues with it, besides a random couple seconds here and there of the picture getting blurry. I'd say that is pretty rare now. I've got 100 mbps currently. I love being able to watch on the go, and also use the audio part of the subscription a ton. Perfect for sitting on the deck or in a boat, in the summer. I would highly recommend the service. I use Apple TV and the app on my tv.

It's nice to see them winning games even when Giannis is out. Pretty impressive.

To major pieces this is the case. If we lost Yelich Hiura or Hader, yeah the team is in trouble. To not so major pieces, I say we need more depth in the pitching staff. Luck is a factor. Leaving your season up to luck is highly avoidable. Well said. Organizational depth is key. Sometimes it's not as easy to maintain it when you have to be careful with your budget, and you've felt the need to make trades. You can at times leave your self very thin. I guess what I'm saying is I agree but I also think it's not just something that's easy to always have, especially in a smaller market.

I think the team has done enough to be a playoff contender, as long as we have more good luck than bad. Making the playoffs has a lot to do with avoiding injury and a majority of key players having reliable years. The other part that's hard to figure out is, if we are competitive, will we be able to add someone key before the deadline. This can always change the outcome significantly. I see us having a chance to make the playoffs but probably being overmatched if we do. I've learned to trust Stearns and Counsell. I'm excited to see them play and see how Counsell works his magic with this roster. Go Crew!

Kris had an ok game last night. Great to see him step up with Giannis out.

Had a friend that went with his young kids and said it was really disappointing. He stated it seemed less organized and fewer things to do, especially for kids. He said it felt cheap. I'm curious if anyone else went and had an opinion on the overall feeling of the event.

I was floored by the news and it just kept getting worse, as we found out his daughter was with him. A week before, I had just watched a short video on Twitter, of Kobe and his daughter discussing a play at a basketball game. It was cool to see. I hadn't really seen anything with him and his daughter, up that point. At least not for a long time. Tragic, for them, their families, and the other families involved.

I'm guessing I'll always call it Miller Park but we will see. It was a good name for that stadium and team. I have no real problem with American Family Field, it will just be hard to change my ways. I don't know if this was mentioned but I saw someone tweet they will just call it the AM Fam Clam, and that made me laugh pretty good.

Anyone on here have Youtube TV and the MLB TV subscription? I'm curious if I do the MLB TV subscription through MLB, can I then just do my login to integrate it in to Youtube TV? Or the other way around, if I sign up through Youtube TV, do I get the MLB TV package for use on apps etc? Or do you only get one or the other? Hope that makes sense.

I agree on the Pizza Hut thin crust pizza. It can really hit the spot. My knock on it is I feel there is a slim margin between it being good and average. If it's overdone or you get it cold, it can be so average. When it's hot with warm melty cheese, it's really good. Another pizza place that's a chain, but not one of the main ones, is Jet's Pizza. If you haven't given it a try, I highly recommend. You have to get their eight corner pizza. It's very similar look to a Rocky's slice and has a great buttery crust like Pizza Hut deep dish. When we lived in Cincinnati, we couldn't find a good local pizza place, and this became our go to. I actually just had it last night and it was delicious as always. For the record, I'm not a deep dish pizza fan usually, but their eight corner is awesome!

Hahaha! Looking good Billy Ray! Feeling good Louis! So I haven't dug through this thread yet, but will hopefully tonight. I just signed up for Youtube TV, to check it out. My hope is I can cut Directv. My bill is around $150 for just DTV. I'm so worried that I will be missing out on sports or something happening live, that I'm hesitating to make the switch. When I look at it, it appears I only would be missing out on NFL Network, and Sunday Ticket (I'm out of market for Packer games). My hope is something changes with DTV and NFL here soon. I believe there is an opt out for the NFL this year, fingers crossed. Youtube TV really does seem to cover all my bases, along with my MLB TV subscription. I'm just having such a hard time making the jump! Anyone with YT TV, or similar fears making the leap, please help!!

LouisEly - Rocky's! I haven't had that in so long but it sounds glorious right now. Speaking of pizza places, when heading to Milwaukee a few weeks ago I saw a Pizza Pit in Lake Mills. There used to be one in Eau Claire that we'd order from when I was young. I had no idea Pizza Pit was still alive. I don't think the pizza is very good but it was a fun blast from the past for me.

Ha! No worries. Yes pretty spot on. Awesome to hear you are a Balistreri's fan too! I always go to the one on 68th but have been to the one on Bluemound. It's a family tradition that we go there every time we are in town. Yes Sammy's in EC but is also in Green Bay and Neenah (used to be in Cumberland as well and several in MN). I mentioned I found out some have the family recipe and some maybe go off on their own a bit, so the one in Neenah didn't meet my expectations. Still solid. Zad, I agree Cranky Pat's is solid too!

I think the 13th bat is being worked pretty hard in the new Brewers model. They've always been a team that platoons 1b into a cheap elite bat. I think they decided that 3b was next up with the 13th bat addition. I'm not sure this can avoid slumps, but it helps with load management and they can L/R the starting pitcher pretty severely. In theory our weak spots are Gamel (who looks pretty good on reversed splits) and Arcia. Those two put up 900 AB last year. That's not likely in 2020. As for flexibility. They've always had a lot of flexibility defensively, but right now they look to have players who can do that defensively while supplying good ABs. Yes to clarify I think the players will go on slumps, but with more flexibility will Craig be able to lean on other players more while said player isn't hitting well. And that comes with more guys being able to pay more positions, guys having good splits, or being able to switch hit. Same goes with matchups, getting more players better matchups because of that flexibility.

Question, is this one of the more flexible rosters we've had in recent years? If so, do some of these overall stats mean less? If you're able to work around bad matchups, slumps, etc, do you put your team in a better place to win more games? It seems that CC is a very creative manager and he will have a lot to work with on a day to day basis. Just a random thought that I had recently.

Man that was an intense game. I can say that was a lot of fun to watch because we won. When the Seahawks got it back with 5 minutes or so, I was starting to feel really negative, like we were about to lose. Then I thought, you know what, this team has been winning all year in these close games, so I'm going to trust they can get it done tonight! I really hope we show up and play well next week.

Frozen pizza - I love Lottza a Heggie's for the more expensive ones. Not sure if Heggie's is in WI or just MN. As for cheap ones, the costco pepperoni is really good in my opinion. I think all brands that have been around for a long time go through changes that make their food different. Whether through being acquired by another company, or trying to keep costs down, they change and usually get worse. I think Jack's is still ok but definitely not as good as it used to be.

Do you think there could be a chance that they rest Braun and Cain a ton and play Yelich and Garcia? Just a thought, try to preserve them. My initial assumption was Braun to 1st.

I think it's pretty simple. We don't have the top tier athletes that the very best programs get, annually. I'm not taking anything away from our program, it's really really good. It's just not as good as the best. We can beat athletic teams that aren't disciplined. We can beat disciplined teams with equal or lesser athletes. But when a program like Ohio St has both, we struggle. I think the coaching staff is a bit limited in what they can do with their play calling against these teams. Is it better to do what you do best and hope the game stays in your favor, or is it better to try and call a different game that doesn't suit your strengths? If you're asking them to recruit different types of players and play a different type of game, I'd be very hesitant about that. You have to look at our state high school players, and the surrounding states. What they produces best, is OL, DL, and probably Linebackers, fullbacks, TE's. Rarely do we produce elite specialty players that are recruited nation wide. You recruit your strength and then you try to shape your team strategy around that. I think we should all be thankful how strong this program has been for a long time now. We've had chances to join the elites in national title talks, but have come up short. I think you keep doing what you're doing and hopefully things align and we make the playoffs in the future. One area I do think we could potentially do better with our recruiting is at QB. I'm surprised that we've been so weak there. I get it, we are a run first team, but we do have great OL's every year, and QBs would be facing a lot of one on one coverage. My hope is Mertz ends up being legit and hopefully show's other recruits what a good QB can do in this system. Of course I thought Wilson was going to open that up after his year here and that didn't seem to happen.

This is just my opinion, but I think Hader was scared to give up the HR ball last night. This lead him to throwing more off speed pitches, which he didn't do for strikes. This led to mainly full counts, and too many pitches. If he comes out, throws gas, and strikes guys out, he's got a good chance to pitch both innings. By not mowing down the bottom of the lineup, we were in a terrible spot. His confidence was off, and we were basically stuck with him, and whatever outcome came. I have to think that if he gets out of that jam, we have to go to a different pitcher in the 9th. It was worst case scenario. I think CC does a tremendous job managing his staff. The playoffs last year, and all year this year, he's done a great job of piecing things together. It's not like he's had a traditional staff. He's gotten way more than we had hoped for out of these guys. We needed one more pitcher last night. One more experienced late inning reliever. We came up an inning short on guys. Like I said, if Hader comes out, and throws strikes, and gets out of that first inning, I like his chances in the 9th. That didn't happen, but hard to say he should have been pulled. Had to let him try and get out of it I think.

HERE WE GO!!! Huge night for Wisconsin. I really don't know what to expect but I hope the good Brewers show up and play their A game. Nobody believes in them (outside of their fans), so I hope they show them all what they are made of. This is my Crew!

I thought that was strictly an NFL thing? The NFL defines it clearly in their rule book. Yes, I know the NFL is the most strict with that. I said in my original post that I think there are kind of unwritten rules with many numbers. I don't think you'd find too many OL wearing the number 14, even if they could, if that makes sense. I also think, in college and high school, that the eligible receivers need specific numbers. If they didn't have them, they'd have to report eligible on each play they were in??? Could be wrong on that.
