  1. I would think there would a wireless option. If not, the easiest thing would maybe be to run a cable from the nearest place it's working, to that tv. Go right above the baseboard, and hopefully you won't have to go passed any doorways. You can then cover it with a cable cover that matches the baseboard. Least amount of damage and can still go pretty much unnoticed. Either way, still frustrating when stuff doesn't work like it should.
  2. Yep, I took that GSW line. Good call on the Bucks too. I think they should continue to roll.
  3. Pretty amazing to take that all in this weekend. I've always liked golf but I didn't sit and watch as much as I do now. I really wish I would have soaked in all of Tiger Woods dominance when I was younger. I watched it, but I wish I would have paid more attention. Appreciated it more. It was a special moment in sports history this weekend. I hope he continues to challenge for, and win, majors. Could you imagine if he won the first two majors, or somehow, first three??? If he got the Grand Slam, I think the world would blow up. Obviously there is half a percent chance for something like that happening, but fun to dream about.
  4. Back to betting, I've been doing pretty good with betting Brewer's games at -1.5 when I think they will win. I've been getting +150 to +165 on those bets, so pretty good payoff for basically picking the winner when they are favored. Small sample size right now. I've never really bet much on baseball, so we'll see how this continues to play out.
  5. Ya, I don't think he's poor by any means. The article said everything he could afford to lose, so he has more. There is just a lot of the story that seems unbelievable. No way that's his first bet, unless he was betting for someone. I bet more will come out on this story.
  6. I'm curious how people feel about Orlando Arcia in general. Obviously his bat could be much better, but his glove is so great. Where do you fall on the spectrum of your feelings for Arcia. Don't care how he bats, as long as his defense is top notch. He needs to get on base more or he's a liability. Somewhere in between. The way this team is constructed, with a 3rd baseman playing second, and a great offense, I don't care where Arcia's batting avg/OBP is. I think we need his great glove in the field most games, and whatever we get from him on offense, is added benefit.
  7. Ha! This made me laugh. I honestly didn't think Yelich would see a strike in this game! Let's keep beating the Cards!
  8. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/a-wisconsin-mans-bet-that-tiger-woods-would-claim-masters-title-won-him-more-than-1-2-million/ Here is the story. Seems a little fishy....
  9. Did you see that guy who placed the bet is from a small town in Western WI? They said he's not a wealthy person by any means. Pretty wild that he would put that much down, and that he won.
  10. Well forgot to get back here, but did small bets on Koepka, DJ, Tiger (just for fun), JB Holmes, and Bryson to win. Did Howell T10 as well. Here we go!
  11. I approve this message!
  12. Anyone wetting their beak in the Masters tomorrow? I usually place a few bets to win and a few for a top 10 or top 20. Still not sure where I'm going yet, but will get back on here when I do.
  13. My dogs name is also Bernie. He is a Australian Shepherd, but is black/brown/white so also has the name because he looks like a Bernese Mountain dog...just smaller. Obviously also for Bernie Brewer. My neighbor got a new dog and called it Gomez. Not very fitting though because it is docile, slow, and no antics. That's awesome! It's been a good name. I also like it because of Weekend at Bernie's! Some great pet names on here. Love it!
  14. Current dog's name is Bernie. Both for Bernie Brewer and because he's a Bernese Mountain Dog. We also had a dog named Uecker.
  15. You can also download the MLB app and pay for the audio only subscription. I believe that is around $20. Depending on how much you might use it, I think it's a heck of a deal for an entire season. I have the MLB.TV subscription because I'm out of market, and that includes the audio. I use the audio a ton!
  16. What a game, what a finish, what a catch! That was a fun one. As for the comments about Cain, I feel like he does job around like an old man, but my guess is people are just making fun of him, more than anything. Of course he's aging, but I don't think he's going to be missing multiple games a week or anything. I could be totally off on this, but I doubt he's going to all of the sudden, not be able to play much because of his knees. Without major injury, knee pain doesn't just come out of nowhere to cripple a player.
  17. A sight for sore eyes, the regular season in game thread. I can't believe it's finally here, Opening Day! No matter what happens today, I know I'll overreact. If we win, I'll be convinced we will make the World Series. If we lose, I'll know that we are going to be a huge disappointment and not make the playoffs. Let's hope for a win!
  18. Some great posts! Long Ball - what a great day! Let us know if you survive.
  19. 2019 Brewers Predictions Win-Loss Record: 93-68 (In the tradition of last year's screw up, I'm leaving one game off my prediction, for good luck) Playoffs (Yes, No): Wild Card Highest Playoff Level Achieved: Lose In World Series All-Star Game Representative(s): Yelich, Grandal, Hader, Cain Offensive Player of the Year: Yelich Starting Pitcher of the Year: Woodruff Relief Pitcher of the Year: Hader Most Surprising Player: Arcia Most Disappointing Player: Braun - I think he falls off this year during the regular season (besides some hot streaks). I do think he redeems himself in the playoffs!
  20. Ok, let's hear what everyone has planned for Open Day. I will be grilling some beer brats and having a few cold ones for the game. Hopefully will be able to go outside and throw a few wiffle balls to the kids too. I'm starting to get pretty pumped up!
  21. I recently lived in Cincinnati for 5 years. There is so much going on downtown now, it's really a fun place to hang out. I'd suggest the area of downtown called Over the Rhine. There you will find several awesome local restaurants. I'd say let yelp be your guide, depending on what you are looking for. Be prepared to wait for a table at most places, but trust me it's worth it. Most places you give your phone number and they will call when they are ready for you. It's nice because you can roam around or grab a beer somewhere. I'd also suggest checking out Washington Park while you're walking around. There is usually something going on there. As for Breweries, there are a lot, but my favorite is Rhinegeist. Go check it out! Awesome setting. Another favorite of many is Taft's Ale House, which is in an old church. They have food there too, which is nice. Right before game time, there are a lot of bars and restaurants right by the stadium. They are convenient but much more on the commercial/chain side of the spectrum. It's a cool atmosphere but of course very crowded. We would go to Moerlein Lager House a lot. I'm not sure how long you will be in Cincinnati, but another really cool place to check out is Mt Adams. It's right across from downtown (probably only a mile or two from the stadium) with some really cool views of the river and downtown. There are several bars and restaurants up there. It's a great place for lunch and a beer and a little walk. There are so many cool buildings/houses up there. Good food at Mt Adams Bar and Grill. I'd suggest just walking around and wondering in to whatever place seems like a good fit. There are a couple places with views, which are always cool. The only thing I'd say is that this turns in to crowded college type vibe at night. During the day it's more people from the neighborhood and is a lot more laid back. They used to also have shuttle busses to the games, but not sure if that's still a thing. If you have any questions, let me know, I'd love to help. JimH5 - I've been to Millersburg a couple times. Amish country as they call it. It's pretty cool. It's a different world out there but very relaxing.
  22. Electric Bugaloo? So many will not understand this reference... This made me laugh! I was totally going to write that! Let's go!!!
  23. 4 vs STL 2-2 3 @ Cin 2-1 3 vs Chi 1-2 3 @ LAA 1-2 3 @ LAD 1-2 3 vs STL 1-2 4 vs LAD 3-1 3 @ STL 1-2 3 @ NYM 2-1 2 vs Col 1-1 15-16 for the month. Looks like a tough first month but I think they will get in a groove in the coming months. I didn't look ahead yet, so I'm hoping the schedule looks easier.
  24. I like this take and it makes a lot of sense to me. Mind as well be more cautious on the front end. My only concern with this would be if there was a setback or need for rest at some point during the season, would you worry it would happen to close to the playoffs, instead of closer to midseason? Obviously you can't plan for that, so again, I like the idea of lighter work early.
  25. This post isn't very current, because the finale was awhile ago, but man The Americans final season was so great! I posted earlier that I love this show, but the final season, and finale were home runs. The finale effected me all day yesterday. So much open for you to finish with your own mind. I know a lot of people dislike this type of ending, but I prefer it. Leaves a lot up to your thoughts and feelings. Makes me want to go back and watch the whole thing again! Someday.
