  1. Well this is fun! Love the signing, as it seems everyone else does. I haven't looked in to any of this, but can Grandal play 1b at all? Don't know if he offers any flexibility. What happens to Kratz now?
  2. I'd be very cautious about making a trade for Madbum. If we can get him for a steal, sure, take a shot. But I wouldn't give up too much for one year of his service. Makes me pretty nervous hearing we are the leader for him right now.
  3. Big fan of this hire. I wanted them to take a risk on an offensive minded coach. I was thinking McDaniels as well but was a bit worried about him being too cocky. Hope he is a winner!
  4. I started watching Grace and Frankie with because my wife was always laughing so hard at it. I find it really funny so far.
  5. I enjoy vodka soda water with lime in it. Or cucumber flavored vodka with a cucumber slice in it. It's a good summer drink. Light and refreshing.
  6. I have a driveway on the north side that gets no sun too. And my dad was complaining about it being slippery so I now too must salt heavily when they come over. Ha!
  7. I've always thought it would be great to have some restaurant/bars near the stadium. I just don't think it's an area anyone would go when there isn't a game. Maybe the Brewers could just open a big open air sports bar near the stadium. It could also have a gift shop type deal as well. They could maybe do their own thing or lease out the bar restaurant to a local place. I always enjoy when I can go to a place pre or post game to sit down and have a bite to eat and a drink. Thanks for the info on TGI too! Ya I was picturing an open restaurant area and not a crowded mess full of drunks. Should have known!
  8. Do people still go to TGI Fridays during the offseason? Just curious if it gets good business when there aren't games. Also, for game day, is it a good place for a family with young kids, so they have more room to move around?
  9. I like the move. It gives the team more flexibility. I also hope it works out for Santana, and he gets to play every day. Too bad we couldn't trade him last offseason, but I don't think we would have received much more.
  10. Another knock on Target Date Funds, is that you lower your risk more and more as you get close to retirement. But remember, you're hoping you will then be alive for 20-30 years. So you still probably can handle some equity risk to increase your potential for return over those years, and the last 10 years of retirement. Of course not everyone is the same when it comes to risk tolerance, so make sure you do what's best for you.
  11. Really is personal preference. Some people want enough to continue their income for x amount of years (until retirement, or until kids are done with school, etc). Some want it to pay off all debts, including the house, so the family is left with a clean slate. Some just want the cost of the funeral covered. Start with what you'd like your insurance to accomplish and then an insurance agent can help you figure out what amount would cover that.
  12. Has to be fake news. Sounds like a craft beer. A full bodied sour, with hints of raspberries and mango, the Tuffy Gosewisch is the perfect beer to sip on a crisp spring afternoon. Haha - Perfect!!! Definitely a sour.
  13. Has to be fake news. Sounds like a craft beer.
  14. I'm in the camp of not giving up much for a starter that would only be here for a year. It seems reckless. I'm all for giving up prospects for a young controllable pitcher, but not for one year. Obviously if we could get him for a cheap, I'd love it, but I don't see that happening at all. I think we have to keep moving ahead with smaller moves and hope that our young talent helps take us over the top.
  15. I have never had an issue with Buck. Sometimes he's a little smug, but I'm fine with it and find it funny sometimes. Smoltz is good. I like Arod, I think he's sharp. As a person, I think he's very fake, but I'm good with his analysis. I do think the Brewers could run in to trouble with the pen being tired in a 7 game series. I don't think there is anything wrong with that take. Ortiz, needs to go. I love the guy, but he can't get his thoughts out. Thomas is ok, but not good. That's my take.
  16. Pure Torture for me! I think I'm able to find perspective quickly after, but I have a hard time watching intense moments. I hate being crushed by a tough loss. I listened to the end of the 2011 game five on the stairs because I couldn't watch!
  17. Ha! We got a lot of that! My wife actually said, after we beat the Cubs, “so Yeli It is!” Our 9 month old puppy is named Bernie, does that count?
  18. Our third son was born last week Tuesday. Everyone is healthy and I’m again amazed by my wife, and what all women do, when giving birth. Feeling happy and proud. Oh and this Brewer team is sure fun to watch!
  19. I’d love to put something together for you, and hopefully will have time soon. My wife and I go to NY almost every year and we live in NJ for a year. Life is busy right now but will try to get back to this.
  20. A great series by the crew. Can’t wait for Friday! What a season!
  21. Only in his "Not Coffee" shirt.
  22. Paul Molitor's calendar should be pretty open? In all seriousness, I would love to see him back for the game, but not sure how that works when you've been managing lately.

  24. Turbo, what a scary story! It's just so messed up. I won't get in to the politics or potential solutions because there are a lot of thoughts on it. I will say that it scares me so much hearing my kindergartner tell us about his lockdown drills. I'm so sad that kids have to grow up in a world where they have to worry about this happening in their schools. That's so wrong.
  25. I kind of hope he sits out. Give the Vikings a free game and let his knee get healthy.
