  1. Nervously awaiting this game tonight. This team feels special. Hope they get off to a good start and win game one.
  2. Let me start by saying, I'm not expecting Hiura to be a superstar. Just hoping for him to be good. That said, boy did he hit the ball hard twice last night. I haven't watched many highlights of him, so this is the first time really watching his swing. I'd describe it as powerfully quick. I'm kind of taken back by it. The ball seemed to jump off the bat. I'm impressed by the first game and look forward to hopefully many more good games to come.
  3. How about a little love for Chris Cook! Seems like he's helped right the ship.
  4. I'd argue that isn't really that much money. After taxes and paying your agent, it's not like that was life changing money. Especially if you have a mindset you'll keep making that much. If he was super frugal, he could have tucked away a bit, but not the type of money you'd be able to live off of for the long term. Either way, he shouldn't have resorted to swindling!
  5. Was really hoping to keep Hader off the mound, but low pitch count and day off makes me rest easy. I want him well rested for the stretch run. How good is Yelich? I laugh now when he hits a home run. Just unconscious.
  6. Great little run here! We have some tough games coming up, so that was huge. Stay hot Brew Crew!
  7. Come on Junior. Let's make this easy on your arm and the rest of the pen. Go in to tomorrow and get another full day of rest!
  8. Let's keep this thing rolling! I'm guessing the Nationals will play better than last night. They had to be pretty worn out after the long Sunday. Any word on Cain?
  9. I was texting a friend about Kyrie. His ability to create off the dribble and score, is top notch. He can be unstoppable at times. All that said, I wouldn't want him on my team. He appears to be a player that doesn't make others better and demands the ball. That can work for some teams/rosters, but I wouldn't want to construct a team like that. He was absolutely huge in when it came to Cleveland winning the Championship. He hit so many big shots. I think he was forced to be more of team player, most of the time, with Lebron on the team. It's probably going to be his peak. If he could ever figure it out, and become more of a team player, he could again be a huge asset. I don't see that happening.
  10. So I have not dug in on Kimbrell and or Kuechel for that matter, but I'm curious, what's holding these guys up? Are there reports of teams offering deals and these two shooting them down? Are they still looking unrealistic years? Kind of crazy these two haven't been signed, was my thought this morning. I'm pretty sure the Brewers would still give one of these guys a shot on a one year, but guessing they have no interest in that right now.
  11. AK - great post! I agree, there is finally some country artist coming out again that are legit. Musicians making music, not trying to be famous. I don't listen to much new music anymore. There is so much music out there, you can just keep digging deeper and deeper in to an artist, genre, or time period. I've been doing that with Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead over the last 3 or 4 years and it's been so cool.
  12. online - bovada
  13. Don’t give them credit for being smart enough to figure those types of this out. Cubs fans are duuuuuuumb. Yep! I'd assume most think the Brewers aren't for real and last year was a fluke. trwi7 - Nicely done! I'm currently listening to Dan and Stu!
  14. Brewers are BACK! (Blue) What a fun weekend of baseball. Let’s keep it rolling vs Wash.
  15. I don’t think anyone is saying we definitely should be sellers. To me it’s more of a hypothetical. If we are out of it at the deadline, what should we do. Would we sell or stay put. I think most people realize it’s very early. There are some signs that this team could struggle with pitching, so it’s not a bad discussion.
  16. There is a chance we'd be sellers but we wouldn't be in "rebuild" mode. I could see us dropping guys like Moose or Yaz if we are out of it. Of course any pitchers we could get rid of. Braun???? Ha. But we wouldn't be getting rid of our core for the coming years to start over.
  17. Yes I was thinking the same thing. Those were tough pitches on the outer edge. Pitches he usually can't layoff.
  18. Nice work Pitch League! 2 vs Col (1-1) 3 vs NYM (2-1) 3 vs Nat (2-1) 3 @ Cubs (1-2) 4 @ Phi (2-2) 3 @ Atl (1-2) 2 vs Cinci (1-1) 3 vs Phi (2-1) 2 @ Min (1-1) 2 @ Pit (1-1) 14-13 but really I hope for 16 wins!
  19. I agree! I wonder if he's just trying to bring the gas instead of taking a touch off and hit his spot. Trying to max effort everything. Either way, last night was a great example of completely missing your spot and paying for it. I was hoping we wouldn't have to go to Hader last night, but oh well. Let's keep rolling Jesus!
  20. I think we need to be patient with Braun. Yes he's making a lot of money, but that's irrelevant at this point. I think he's a good veteran presence for this team. I also think he will have some hot streaks and my hope is, he will step up down the stretch and hopefully in the playoffs.
  21. Great to see Aguilar hit a couple home runs last night. I especially loved the opposite field one! I hope that relaxes him a bit so he can just play ball now. Also, great to see Jackson pitch well. I really hope that continues. Fun game!
