  1. It's looking like it will be a tough year for the Brewers, but of course you never know. I'm curious what people are excited about seeing/hoping to see from this team in 2016.
  2. Can I ask, in this thread, what the best prediction is for what this OF looks like in 3 years? I mean do we have the guys that we think will stick for several years?
  3. I've been looking for this jersey for several years now. I think I brought it up a few years back, but why isn't this for sale? It seems crazy, that in a time where retro jerseys are so big, you can't get this jersey.
  4. I like the Brew Crew one (royal blue) and the Brewers 1979 (royal blue). Just behind those two I like the white shirt and the MKE one. Solid. I too would have liked the 90's logo. So bad it's good again. There was a time when I thought that would never come back as a popular logo, but it's getting close to that time. Don't they say like every 20/25 years?
  5. Maybe not the Brewers, but you could buy some ownership in the Packers
  6. What are they going to do, kick the whole student section out? Technical fouls? I'm just curious how they will police this. My first reaction was, you have to be kidding me. I took a step back and I guess I think it's probably for the better. On one hand, I think it's another step in the direction of a better society. On the other hand, I'm worried kids can't deal with adversity because everything is made to be fair and polite.
  7. I really gained a lot of appreciation for his music over the last 3 or 4 years. I will have to check out the new album. Was sad to hear the news.
  8. I think this is just the type of signing we need. He will be fun to watch, doesn't hurt us in anyway. We will be well below average for awhile, so grabbing a guy that has potential trade value for a year is a solid move. If he stinks, it's not going to hurt us....we aren't going anywhere for awhile. I was kind of hoping we'd sign him after I read another poster on here mention him.
  9. A family member throwing out facts that are false and then never being able to admit they are wrong. Real fun.
  10. First, let me say, I think that it's good that people have strong opinions on the Brewers. It makes for good discussion here and that's why this is a great site. That said, when you are wrong about something, I will let you know (in blue). I don't think you can call this a bad trade no matter what happens. I really don't think Lind is worth anything more than what we got. It's a gamble when you trade average talent. I think it's much easier to try and break down a trade when it's a star for stud prospects. I'm cool for arguing that you would have liked a certain type of player over what we got, but when we throw names around like, why didn't we get Peterson instead, we are making huge assumptions that said person was available. Back to my average point from before, I will second what Bill Hall All Star said. Right now I don't see average major league ready talent as anything that helps us. I would much rather take high risk/reward youth that lineup with our other prospects. I don't want to have average players at the major league level right now. I don't see that helping us in anyway. We can try to get average players when the time comes, but with out studs at the top, the team isn't going to compete.
  11. Another Doug Melvin win?
  12. I tend to think in this period of time the Brewers are better off with high risk high reward type moves. Getting average players is not going to help us. As Homer said - pitching prospects make the world go round this day and age. There will always be buyers if we ever end up with too many.
  13. Hey Hey, congrats!
  14. I'm all for going "scorched earth" because I don't think we have a ton of talent. If our young pitching surprises, we could be some what competitive, but if not, we mind as well get rid of everyone and try to sync up a talented group in a couple years. I think that anyone we get in a trade for someone like Lind, that has some sort of upside, is a good move. On this board, we tend to expect much more for our players in trade value than they are actually worth on the market. Keep stocking the system!
  15. Nice win last night. Caught the end of the game on NBA. Not sure how the game was overall but they had a couple nice plays to finish it out.
  16. Game05 - Awesome! Good work and congrats. Has to feel good. Good luck on the exam and let us know how it goes.
  17. Thought I'd bump this up for the holidays. I just watched Trapped in Paradise, last night. Becoming an every year movie for me. It's pretty cheesy but good laughs and great scenery! I'm also embracing Die Hard 1 and 2.
  18. Anyone see the new Bond movie? Curious how that was. I admitted this in an old thread, maybe the say anything one, that I hadn't seen the old Star Wars movies since I was a kid. I also have not seen the new ones. So I'm thinking about trying the "Machete" way of watching them, which was suggested in the thread. The new Star Wars movie finally has me motivated to do this. Now the problem is getting my hands on the old ones. I'm not sure if I want to buy them all. The original three would be worth the purchase but I don't know about the other three.
  19. I would start doing some light strength stuff for your arms and chest. Do some pushups with your knees on the ground and see how that feels. Maybe a few planks. I would mix in some ice on the shoulder after too. See how it reacts. If the pain is gone you are probably ok. If it flares up, you should probably see a doctor.
  20. Thanks Cheez! I will check it out.
  21. So the Bucks are the hardest of the WI sports teams for me to follow. Mainly because I don't have NBA league pass (and have the other pro sports packages). Anyone want to take a shot at writing up a season preview???
  22. That's awesome Fondy. Best of luck with the inspections. I'm sure it will be fine. Keep us posted.
  23. Brewcrewdue80 congrats!! Good for you! Wishing you the best as you regain your strength.
  24. ON golf balls, I think the main issues are water logged and scrapes. I've played the refurbished and I find "recycled" balls on the course all the time I don't know if I'm a good enough golfer to know if the ball is messing up or if it's me! I think they are a good deal so I'm all for used golf balls. That said, my new favorite golf ball, that is upper middle for price, is the TaylorMade Project A. They feel really soft, almost like a ProV1, but are around $30. Big fan so far.
