Has there been two episodes? I watched the first one On-Demand last night (the only one available at this point). I liked it. It has potential. FX sure has some quality programming these days - It's Always Sunny..., The League, Archer, Louie and now Wilfred. Good stuff. Edit: Their website has 3 episodes up. What about a guy who has only been mentioned a couple of times in this thread....Jason Bartlett. On paper he looks similar to Furcal. Bartlett strikes out a little more, but walks at a nice rate and could hit 2nd or 7th/8th in our lineup. The defensive matrices on Fangraphs don't love him the last couple of years, but he was known as a very good defender previously. Is the upgrade from Yuni to Bartlett too small to get excited about? He's signed through 2012 at a reasonable rate of $5.5M (or 1 $1.5M buyout) and has around $2M left on this years deal. The Padres are going to want to give Everth Cabrera another shot in the Bigs at some point and Bartlett shouldn't cost much in prospects to acquire.

Thanks for the advice on wedding beers. We've decided to go pretty safe. We're getting either Coors/Miller Lite for the masses, Honey Weiss (I would have just gone with Spotted Cow, but oh well) and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (my choice and probably my 2nd favorite beer of all time). On Beer Advocate they have a "Sierra Nevada Draught Style Pale Ale". Is this the same beer, just in draught form? It's only 5.0% ABV compared to 5.6% ABV in the bottle version. I have noticed that it has a little less taste when I've gotten it on draught at bars before so the lower ABV does make some sense.

Looking for recommendations for good wedding, session beers. We want to have more than just boring macros at our wedding, but it's hard to come up with something that will be widely enjoyed. What do people think of Point's Nude Beach? I'm a hop head myself so NB is just sort of blah to me, but since we're looking for session beers so I know we won't be getting any IPAs or anything.

Raising ticket prices. It looks nice on paper, but if the economy doesn't turn around and if MLB attendance continues to decrease a bump in ticket prices may not help much. People worry about how Prince is going to age. Dude is only 27 and I feel like, offensively, he'll be worth the money through his 33 or 34 age season. Yes, he's a big dude on a short frame, but he's never had so much as a nagging injury in his pro career that I can recall. I truly believe in Fielder's work ethic. He wants nothing more than to be known as a complete ball player. I believe that he can keep the weight off and continue to be a better ball player each year. Now his defense on the other hand....At 27 he's already considered possibly the worst fielding first baseman in all of baseball. That part of his game worries me as he continues to age. Edit: Maybe Mark A can convince Selig to move the Brewers into the AL Central in about 3 years (blue font)

A frustrating loss for sure. Surprised no one really got on RR for going to Estrada in the 7th. I know he has been pretty good, but at the time I was surprised he didn't go with a Braddock/Hawkins combintation in the 7th and 8th with Loe or Axford coming into close it out in the 9th (not sure if Ax was available as I was watching the game on mute).

I think an easy way to get McGehee out the 5 spot is to put Hart 5 and keep both of our CF platoon mates hitting 2nd. Carlos has hit lefties well this year, though his career numbers suggest that's a small sample size fluke. The lineup below is what I would try until McGehee turns things around. Ummm, Ron? Corey Hart is an everyday player! It's not like you have to get Kotsay's career .736 OPS vs. Vazquez (38 ABs) in there for some reason! Consider me annoyed by Hart's exclusion, unless he's, you know, hurt or something.

After seeing Kotsay's splits vs. Nolasco I predict he'll be in CF, hitting 6th or 2nd.

Lucroy getting a day off is fine. Gomez hitting 2nd against a lefty is fine. But if Hart isn't dinged up he needs to be in there. Surely something is bothering him because I don't think RRR is THIS incompetent. Time to start a new winning streak!

We're hovering around .500 while our best SP has been out all year, our second best SP has an ERA over 6, our all-star RFer is just now getting up to speed and we've (hopefully) got a very good #2 hitter back in the lineup regularly. If your on the ledge with this team on May 4th you may as well jump because you won't be making it til September

Depends what you are looking at - heck when you look at a guys 15 year career, essentially one season is worthless. But for this season, right now, we are 25 games in - not to far off from a 1/4 of the way - and in my book, we can look at what guys have done thus far and evaluate their performance. At what point do you evaluate players performance for the current season?I think a lot of the Yuni debate has to do with expectations. I literally have no expectations for Yuni when he is up to bat or when he is in position to make a play in the field. Reports from scouts, fans, etc. were so bleak that I just expect him to make an out or make a poor play in the field at every opportunity. So anything positive thing he does is exceeding my expectations. I don't see how anyone could look at a player hitting .267/.290/.337 and be happy with what you're getting (and we're talking about a player currently on a "hot streak"). Defense: My eyes say his defense is bad. He is slow. He plays the field like he has bricks in his pockets and his shoes are tied together. I haven't seen any examples of his arm being too bad, but I feel like he should get to more balls, that it looks like it pains him to bend over and that his feet look a little sloppy. I'm convinced that Yuni is one of the worst fielding SS in the game and one of the worst hitters in the game too, but I've weirdly accepted it so far. Yuni B is like that friend of a friend that was invited to come to your house to play cards because you needed another body. You don't like anything about him, but you have to tolerate him because your friend invited him. Sure, your friend could have invited a different friend, one with better qualities, but he didn't and you deal with it.

I'm oddly optimistic still. I'm feeling a Lucroy double followed by a walk-off Boggs HR.
