  1. https://www.mlb.com/news/rosters-announced-for-2023-arizona-fall-league For the Brewers it is: Eric Brown Jr., SS; Hendry Mendez, OF; Wes Clarke, 1B/C; Joseph Hernandez, RHP; Justin King, LHP; Adam Seminaris, LHP; Justin Yeager, RHP
  2. If CC does come back I would expect the Brewers will be bringing everyone back so no Burnes, Woodruff or Adames trade(s) and it will be on a short term deal probably a one year deal with options for a second or third year. If the Brewers plans this off season are to trade all three or one then I don't see CC coming back. CC will definitely have his pick of teams that he could coach for. The White Sox, Red Sox, Yankees, Mets and even the Padres could be options.
  3. While Seitzer isn't young I think he will be a popular name come this off season as a possible manager for some team out there. If we go from CC to Seitzer it wouldn't be the worst move.
  4. Surprised no one put the greatest Brewers manager of all time up yet! If Counsell would only be 1/10 as good as #3 we would have 3 WS championships already!!!!!!! It was a travesty that he was fired when he was!
  5. If the Brewers already have the division wrapped up I don't see these games being anything more than a spring training game.
  6. LIES THAT NEVER HAPPENED! STOP WITH THE VOODOO VIDEO EDITING!!!!
  7. Greatest BREWER EVER he should be on the walk of fame and his number retired!
  8. I am not sure I have seen anyone as bad as Walker has been in the OF in the last two games.
  9. What if instead of cars everyone had their own train.
  10. AHEM it is coach Prime!!!!!! Who is this Deion Sanders person????
  11. There is about 1500 innings every season so yes those 10 1/3 innings are fairly meaningless.
  12. Apparently I got it wrong and it is the NFL filing a grievance against the NFLPA for RB’s and their negotiating tactics and not the NFLPA filing the grievance for RB’s. https://theathletic.com/4875371/2023/09/18/nfl-nflpa-running-backs-grievance/?source=user_shared_article
  13. I wouldn't say no NFL future. He does have some good aspects to his game at RB for the NFL. He has some decent hands for a RB his size. He is a an excellent pass blocker and can pick up blitzes fairly easy. Running wise he is not going to blow anyone away but he is a fairly good goal line back or a good short yardage running back. I don't believe he is a starting NFL RB but he will be drafted and will probably have a long NFL career as he can do some of the little things really well. I wouldn't be surprised if he is picked by the Patriots and he has a long career like James White did. He won't be that big time back but he will provide some excellent play. Allen is probably closer to A.J. Dillon than he is to Derrick Henry who he has been compared to a lot.
  14. The Brewers and Twins have matched up perfectly the last few years in terms of players of need for each team and nothing has come of it for the most part. Both should be about equal in value with Wiemer maybe having a little bit more value but I think a Miranda and Y. Severino for Wiemer would be a fair trade. With Wiemer's defense and offensive potential he should have about $10m in surplus value which is just over what a Miranda and Severino trade would have.
  15. Doubtful you would probably whiff at it. These aren't 90 MPH straight as an arrow fastballs that you saw in whatever baseball you did play. A lot of great hitters have said the most difficult thing a player can do is put down a bunt. It looks easy but it is one of the hardest things to do as a batter especially at the MLB level. The pitches just have more movement and velocity making it hard to get a bunt down.
  16. Nearly all of the good offensive lineman are able to get away with this. The half step that is borderline false start is done by nearly every good offensive lineman. The good ones can time it perfectly so it fools the refs and Wright is really good at this though he still needs some work on it. It is basically cheating the refs into thinking the play is starting and getting that half step in helps a lot. Some of the best defensive edge rushers are also about to do this and are able to get that half step where they are off sides but are able to fool the ref into thinking the play has started.
  17. If the Brewers are trading Yelich for Bryant then there really wouldn't be a need for the Rockies to send money over. Yelich is owed about $138m while Bryant is only owed about $131m (this is not taking into account any deferrals for either). Even with the negative excess valuation for both Yelich and Bryant I don't believe either team would have to send over any money. Even in your last part Bryant would have to be outperforming his contract to be able to have any value at all. If he just recovers to be about what his contract is the Rockies would still need to add some money. I think an Arenado like trade is what it would take for the Rockies to move on from Bryant.
  18. The only thing I use Benadryl for is a sleeping aid. About an hour after taking one of those and I am out.
  19. It is 48% of all: Local revenues, including gate receipts, local TV revenue, concessions, parking, sponsorships, etc, and the funds are then divided equally among all 30 teams. From this article: https://www.blessyouboys.com/2021/12/16/22831008/mlbs-revenue-sharing-problem-and-how-to-solve-it So the merchandising should still pay for most of Trout's contract which would be something like Trout's contract minus whoever they dump on the Angels or a third team probably Castellanos. Each team gets about $100m a year from the shared revenue fund. For a team like the Phillies taking on Trout's contract and removing one of their other higher priced free agent signings shouldn't be an issue. This is also not taking into account the national revenue that the teams also get which is about $90m per team and also the sale of the MLB.tv technology that each team received this year. I believe that was about another $90m per team. I don't see adding salary being an issue for the Phillies their revenue streams for merchandising and others are already strong. Bring in someone like Trout who is from the area and you probably have a really easy marketing platform to sell enough jerseys, shirts, hats and other things that people will buy up. Back on topic now and I believe the Angels have finally realized they are not going to be competitive with their current club and are finally doing a tear down. This has probably come about three years to late. I don't think they had to trade Trout or not go after Ohtani but signing Rendon was a mistake and it was a mistake at the time they did it. They haven't figured out free agency and they have gone through a few GM's trying to do everything through free agency without actually knowing what they are doing. There is no team identity with the Angels and it shows with the on field product. There isn't a focus on anything other than target whoever is the big name free agent for that year. Moreno hasn't figured this out after going after Hamilton, Pujols and others. It has been one big line of horrible free agent signings that Moreno has been apart of. You can't fill all of your holes with free agents you have to be able to develop, trade and sign free agents not just one but you need to do at least two of the three and the Angels have failed at all three with Ohtani being the exception. The Angels did make a good trade last year with the Phillies acquiring a really good catcher for a middle of the road OF in Marsh. I don't expect the Angels to get much back in return for Trout as the number of suitors for Trout is a handful of teams at best. Some of the large market teams may also be hesitant on spending more also. The best option really is the Phillies but that means either getting buy in from Castellanos or someone else in waiving a no trade to the Angels or getting a third team involved. If the Angels don't want to take salary back then they are going to have to pay for a significant amount of Trout's contract and would be in a similar situation as the Rockies were with Arendao.
  20. The Angels are going to have to eat or bring back an equivalent salary in a trade but the teams that Trout will OK a deal to is probably extremely limited. A Trout for Stanton deal would be close money wise but probably not what the Angels would be looking for. I think they would want someone who is closer to becoming a FA. Not sure the Braves would do this as it adds significantly more payroll to their team but an Ozuna + for Trout is probably what the Angels would prefer in return. Another option would be the Phillies doing a Castellanos + for Trout. This again would add more payroll to the Phillies but it gets them a hometown hero in Trout. Merchandise alone would probably pay for the extra salary and penalties they would have to pay. These trades would also have to be approved by the players being sent out. A Trout trade without the Angels kicking in money is going to be near impossible.
  21. In order for this trade to work the Rockies would have to pay more than they did to "get rid" of Arenado. So something like $75m of the remaining $131m on Bryant's contract. That means the Brewers would be on the hook for $56m which is about $11.2m annually. That would get you close to his current WAR value. It has also been 2-years since he has put up a decent stat line in 2021, though he has only played in just over 100 games since joining the Rockies. The only just over 100 games is also an issue for a two year span. Can Bryant stay healthy? I am not sure that he can or will. If the Brewers could somehow get the Rockies to pay for the majority of Bryant's deal then sure make the trade but if the Brewers have to pay Bryant more than $15m a year then I think that would be a horrible deal for the Brewers.
