  1. No thanks he was rather cancerous with the Celtics in the playoffs. The Celtics were also shopping him since they were eliminated. Buyer be ware with Brogdon.
  2. Brogdon will be traded by Portland at some point. Portland already have a bunch of guards on their roster. Not sure on value for Brogdon but probably a first that is top 15 protected or a 2nd round pick. His value is somewhere between that.
  3. The Cubs don’t own a tiebreaker against anyone. So they are eliminated.
  4. It doesn’t matter this game means about as much as a spring training game does for the Brewers. He could pitch all 9 innings it doesn’t matter.
  5. You can say whatever you want about coach Prime but his team doesn’t give up. Rather impressive so far.
  6. That 2021 team was more of mirage than it was real. A lot of wins that were 1-run games. They went 31-17 in 1-run games in 2021. It was a bit of luck and a few players having career years. For as much devil magic the Cardinals have the Giants seem to have just as much.
  7. But like two weeks ago this was supposed to be the Brewers. I was told the Brewers would be eliminated with the Cubs running away with the division.
  8. It is on the MLB site under standings: https://www.mlb.com/news/2023-mlb-postseason-tiebreaker-scenarios
  9. I don’t think he wins. I think Dave Roberts is going to win it because Dodgers.
  10. I really thought it was going to be Miami or bust for Lillard, I am happy to be wrong on that. Sucks to lose Jrue though he was the piece that was missing for the first championship but his offense has lapsed a lot. He is still a great defender at the point but offensively he hasn't been all that good for like three seasons now.
  11. I firmly believe that the Brewers will have to bring back Burnes, Woodruff and Adames in order to get CC to comeback for one more year. If they don’t bring them back I don’t see CC coming back. I am starting to believe the Brewers are going to do this and will just roll the draft pick dice. It may not be the best strategy but I think this is what the Brewers are going to do.
  12. There was some discussion at the time that Potawatomi would be connected with the stadium. I believe Potawatomi wanted to buy part of the land near the stadium to have another casino and hotel. It has been awhile so going off of memory but it was shot down because of the I don’t want gambling near my sports type of crowd. Today I don’t think that would be a problem but it was then if I am remembering everything correctly that is.
  13. This is incorrect. FA compensation depends on a few different things but for the Brewers it would be after the comp A selection if the player signs for more than $50mm. If less than $50mm it would be after comp B. https://www.mlb.com/glossary/transactions/qualifying-offer Burnes and Woodruff should be after comp A and Adames should also but that will depend on how well he plays in ‘24. In the ‘25 draft the Brewers will have a comp A pick plus one to three FA comp picks. Also if Chourio wins the NL ROY next year that would possibly be 4 picks in that range in the ‘25 draft.
  14. The city completely missed by not having Potawatomi linked with the stadium. The no gambling near muh sports crowd won out. This would have put the area in a better spot than it is in now. Just a completely wasted opportunity.
  15. Jordan Love still reminds me of Jay Cutler when he was with the Broncos. Good arm with some accuracy issues mixed in with some bad decisions.
  16. By 2045 will baseball even be a major sport? The way it has been trending that would be a no. It is currently falling farther and farther behind the NBA and NFL. MLB is clearly the #3 sport in the US and it is far behind the NBA at #2 and the NFL at #1. Only the NBA has been gaining ground on the NFL in terms of popularity. It is possible soccer or another sport surpasses MLB at the #3 spot. I don't think the money will be there for teams to move like they do now. The NFL and NBA sure but not MLB. There are only a few cities left where it makes sense to move to and there will be two less in the next 2-5 years. With the Rays getting their stadium situation handled and the A's looking like they will leave Oakland for Las Vegas it is only a matter of time before expansion starts. The MLB commissioner has gone on record stating once those two stadium situations are resolved the league will be expanding. The Brewers will obviously ask for a new stadium come 2045 and they probably will need one at that time. I am just not sure the economic climate will be the same as it is today when it comes to cities bidding for teams. Nashville, Charlotte, Salt Lake City, Austin, Montreal and Portland are all possibilities for expansion in the next 2-5 years. Nashville is probably the only guarantee here to get a team as they have the backing already set in place. Will Nashville do two new stadiums in a few years? I am not sure on that but it is possible. If the Brewers do ask for a new stadium I think they will move the stadium to a more financially viable site. Probably just tear down that whole area and create a business or industrial park. I am not sure where else the Brewers could move to once the lease is up but I don't think they would stay in the current area. Maybe they move to Mequon or the Brown Deer area.
  17. Defense needs a lot of work but offensively they are starting to click a bit.
  18. That looked real bad for Mellusi. Probably out for the year. Sucks because he was finally healthy and showing what he could do.
  19. Hamilton and Surhoff were my two favorite players on the Brewers.
  20. This has to be a team record for the most runs in one inning?
  21. Acuna just hit his 40th HR that gives him a 40/40 season only 4 other players have done this. I think Acuna has the NL MVP locked up. He is the first player to have 40 home runs and 60 stolen bases. If he steals two more bases he will be the only player to hit 40 HR's and 70 SB's.
