  1. At least this team doesn’t give up and makes things interesting at times.
  2. I thought that was obvious sarcasm and no need for blue font but I guess not.
  3. Reason #9999991 why blown saves is a useless stat.
  4. Burnes has to get through that inning. He just has to as he is the team ace but is pitching more like a #5 in his last three starts. As a manger you have to get at least 6 innings out of your best pitcher. Instead Burnes is just stinking it up lately.
  5. Never knew you could blow a save in the 6th inning.
  6. That is back to back starts with 4 earned runs off of Burnes.
  7. No proof but I am positive Pujols was one of the other players to test positive when Braun did. Weird that only Braun’s name leaked but no one else’s.
  8. Stop looking at pitches splitting the middle of the plate please.
  9. Mertz looking decent and the Oline is keeping him upright which are positives.
  10. Oregon had no chance against Georgia today. I am not sure expanding the playoffs will change all that much. It will still just be the usual teams winning. Maybe one of the big 4 schools won’t win on an off year but I doubt it.
  11. Burnes is pitching absolutely awful the last couple of outings.
  12. Willy Adames average and OBP is basically Turang's ceiling. The difference between Turang and Adames is the power with Adames giving you more power. At best I think Turang can put up a .260/.360/.380 (Average, OBP, Slugging). That is valuable but it doesn't even come close to Adames 2021 season. This is just a slight down year for Adames with his average but everything else looks to be about equal. Even if you add in Turang's stolen bases it still doesn't really come close to Adames offensive value. Turang with the stat line I provided previously would be an extremely valuable 2B for the Brewers. At SS right now the Brewers have a better offensive player in Adames.
  13. The inside temperature in that stadium is usually around 80 degrees.
  14. You got it all wrong Yelich to CF, Renfroe to 3B, Adames to C and Braun coming out of retirement to play SS.
  15. Obviously but it will be just wasted energy PC won't make the change until about the end of the season and then if he does make a change the new QB will get about 10-15 throws a game. With all of those throws being the 5-yard safe pass routes.
  16. Unlikely on Turang as he is not on the 40-man roster. Ruiz is more likely to be added to the roster but I think the Brewers just call up a bunch of relievers instead as that is what the Brewers need right now. This would put the Brewers at the maximum of 14 pitchers. So I believe two of Cousins, Perdomo, Topa, Kelley or Small will be brought back up. Once Gott is healthy he will replace one of those players on the list.
  17. Mertz looks like he will be the QB unless he gets hurt. Anyone who would be looking for the Badgers to make a change this is very unlikely unless Mertz gets hurt. PC won't put in the previously 3rd string QB and he definitely will not be playing a freshman. So the Badgers will be stuck with Mertz good or bad.
  18. Narvaez hasn't had his best year. That was clearly last year but he looks like he is starting to rebound based on his wOBA. He goes through streaks like this as all players do. It looks like he is in a valley right now and heading towards a peak. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes off in September to at least be MLB Average. Narvaez has been bit of an enigma this season. For awhile he looked like his normal self and then from about mid June he has been absolutely awful. It looks like he might be coming out of it but I am not sure he will. It would definitely be a boost to the offense if Narvaez can become Aug-Sept of 2021 again. That would really help the Brewers out offensively.

  20. With the Brewers string of umpire crews it is very possible. I swear the Brewers have been on the rotation of the worst umpire crews for the past couple of weeks.
  21. I never noticed this but Wiemer looks almost like a mirror of Mitchell. Batting stances are very similar. Wiemer holds the bat a bit higher before coming set but they both have open stances and their swing paths are very similar. It is like watching the same player bat from both sides of the plate.
  22. They make tons of in game decisions but they don't all have an impact on the outcome of the game. Also a decision to bring in someone one day it works and then the next it doesn't. It could be the same scenario and the reliever or the batter just doesn't get the job done. It is more on the player than it is the manager really. Their decisions to pinch hit or to put in a reliever are just moves it is still on the player to make the impact. The NL had a little more strategy involved but with the DH that is no longer there so the extra wins and losses that NL managers accounted for are no longer there. The managers decisions on games are just not all that impactful on the game or by inning by inning. The managers biggest impact is on the season as a whole and that is how they manage their starting and relief pitchers. That is the biggest impact that managers have on the game itself. The decisions on who to bring in and when to bring in have very little impact on the game itself. Managers at best add a win or two a season from their decisions. Again the biggest thing managers bring to a baseball team is dealing with morale and saving their players from being thrown out of a game. When a manager gets tossed a teams winning odds don't improve or go down. Sometimes it can be a morale booster to the team but the majority of the time it is just a whole lot of nothing.
  23. Maybe Hiura checked it and was like awwwww heck nah. Though I did say it looks like it is the beginning of a long cold streak not that it was or will be a cold streak.
  24. I doubt he would be playing any better with more plate appearances. Hiura is what he is. Someone who will get hot for awhile and then will be absolutely ice cold for long stretches. This looks like it is the beginning of a long cold streak for Hiura.
