  1. Seems like the Brewers last couple of series the Brewers have been stuck with the absolutely awful umpire crews. The umpires are making games almost nearly unwatchable.
  2. Please no more Yelich vs LHP. He sucks against LHP. Basically an auto out. Hiura would be a better option against LHP.
  3. Fernando Tatis Jr to have shoulder surgery. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/08/fernando-tatis-jr-to-undergo-shoulder-surgery.html IL time counts for the suspension FYI.
  4. Arte Moreno looking to sell the Angels:
  5. McCutchen should be playing LF against LHP and Yelich should be sitting. The only problem with this then is that Hiura would have to be the DH against LHP. I would be fine with this as I don't believe in the reverse splits for Hiura it just doesn't make any logical sense at all. Also the Brewers really don't have another RH bat with Brosseau possibly being hurt to put in the lineup against a LHP. Tellez is another problem but less so against LHP. The Brewers really needed another RH bat to hit against LHP and with Brosseau possibly being out that may cause some more issues against LHP. So Hiura is going to have to face LHP reverse splits or no reverse splits. Against RHP I would just play matchup and get McCutchen some days in LF when Yelich needs a day off and at DH if Hiura looks to be slipping at all. At smaller parks like in Cincinnati I would put McCutchen in CF but no way he should be playing in CF where there needs to be a lot of ground covered. Yelich is bad enough in LF and Renfroe should really be playing LF and not RF. The problem is that Yelich has turned into a ground ball machine against LHP. Nearly every zone against LHP for Yelich is at a negative launch angle so the ball is just going straight into the ground.
  6. The Brewers went with Tellez over Vogelbach and Vogelbach is someone you only want facing RHP and should never face LHP. So I don't see how Vogelbach would be much of an improvement for the Brewers. Vogelbach is also a DH only and shouldn't see the field ever. McCutchen at least gives you some roster flexibility where he can play a passable LF. A better option would have been Pederson who signed a $6m deal with the Giants. I think the Brewers showed some interest but I think the interest wasn't mutual.
  7. Because then they won't be available tomorrow.
  8. Well you see the Brewers only play good now against good teams. It is the reverse from earlier this season.
  9. A Yelich RBI double and an assist in one night hell has officially frozen over.
  10. My dream broadcast crew would be Ben Sheets and Adam Dunn. Would be either extremely horrible or extremely funny no in between.
  11. That was more of a pitch sequence strike out. Batter was expecting a fastball but got a breaking pitch. Not exactly sure what to call that pitch to be honest it doesn't look like a traditional slider and it doesn't really break like a curve.
  12. He does have a lot of movement on his pitches and his fastball is not all that bad just needs to locate it a bit better.
  13. For a Polish last name it is a fairly easy one to pronounce.
  14. That should be an error and not a hit. Well Freeman saved the ball from going to the dugout but that should still be an error that was a poor throw.
  15. Poor mechanics. Lauer is a #4/5 type starter for a reason.
  16. This umpire is bad. That wasn't a swing and it wasn't a strike either.
  17. LOL at the security guard pushing the guy helping Taylor up. I mean yeah I get it you are the security guard but settle down there Barney Fife.
  18. Yes depending on the scuff it can be beneficial to the pitcher or the batter. Though that is mostly for sinker and splitter pitchers. Some pitchers will want the catcher to throw a ball back as fast as possible so it doesn't get replaced because of this. Smoltz and Maddux would do this a lot as it allowed them to get a better grip on the ball and it would move more.
  19. Lauer has been getting with them all season. Just by his pitch placement he should be getting hit more than he has. I wouldn't be surprised if Lauer has a rather large negative regression going forward. I don't believe the whiff% and low average on the pitches he is leaving over the plate is sustainable.
  20. The Astros also have one of the better players this year playing DH a lot in Yordan Alvarez.
  21. I would rather bring Ruiz up and go with six OF's.
