  1. I don't think he took anything back other than clarifying what he was saying.
  2. The Brewers could easily move Yelich to DH. Frelick and Ruiz will probably compete with Taylor for the CF spot in 2023. I think Taylor gets the spot and Frelick goes to AAA to start the year and Ruiz probably replaces Davis as the 4th or 5th OF. Wiemer and Mitchell are probably on the outside looking in if Yelich is going to be the starting LF instead of the DH. If you move Yelich to DH that opens up LF for Wiemer, Renfroe, Taylor or Mitchell. With Wiemer's arm I think he profiles best in RF defensively. Wiemer could be a clone of Renfroe on the MLB side at least I think that would be his best current comp I still believe Wiemer's closest comp is Corey Hart. Turang is more than likely the starting 2B for the Brewers next year as I don't see the Brewers bringing back Wong. Or the Brewers could make Turang their super utility player and have him play 2B, SS, CF and LF. I wouldn't be surprised by a Renfroe or Adames trade in the offseason either. I think Hiura will be traded this offseason to open up the DH spot for Yelich which also opens up an OF spot for Wiemer, Mitchell, Frelick or Ruiz. I think there will be a lot of financial casualties for the Brewers in this coming offseason if the Brewers want to keep Burnes and Woodruff. I think the Brewers are going to go with trying to compete every year instead of doing a scorched Earth tactic with their MLB and minor league rosters.
  3. Again I don't think you even read what Barker put out on his tweet or you are not able to comprehend what he said in his two tweets. The last part I doubt had anything to do with his release.
  4. I don't understand how you could even come to that conclusion it is like you read one thing and then interpreted it completely different. The more logical and believable situation is that there was a miss communication between the Brewers and Barker. Please reread what he put in his second point. I am not sure how you can interpret this any other way.
  5. With the updated Tweet by Barker this looks like the Brewers tried to do something with Barker but he chose a different route and they DFA’d him. It appears as though the main issue is with the MLBPA and not the team. The optics still look bad for the Brewers though.
  6. This is on MLB as they decide who is on YouTube which is easy to watch not sure what the issue is here and Apple TV. This is set when the TV schedule is made. The Brewers have no control over this. Apple TV can only be viewed through the Apple TV app I believe. I haven't checked the cable stuff as I don't have cable so no idea if you can access it via cable.
  7. They would have to add him to the 40 man by the end of the year I believe or he can become a minor league free agent. Not 100% sure on this.
  8. This team and their watching pitches split the middle of the plate ugggggg. I swear the Brewers have to lead all of MLB at looking at down the middle pitches.
  9. Haven’t checked around but currently Affirm has a 1.25 APY on their savings accounts. It is 100% digital and you can only access it through their app on your phone or tablet. I think this is the highest APY on a savings account. This is a FDIC insured account.
  10. So 70 pitches was the limit, Peralta would have gone over that so he was removed after the triple.
  11. I think it is 4 innings or 70 pitches whichever comes first.
  12. I didn’t hear anything from anyone that I know but Rodon alone had a crazy high price tag. The deal falling apart makes sense because of Rodon’s price tag. I am going to assume the Giants probably wanted Urias, Chourio and others just for Rodon. Belt would have been a salary dump so I am going to assume Severino would have been in the package and Pederson probably would have been for a lower level prospect. I think this is what the Giants proposed. Chourio, Urias, Tellez, Frelick, Severino and a couple of lower level prospects.
  13. I can’t get Fangraphs or baseball savant to load on my phone today to confirm this but I believe Hiura’s launch angle has decreased a little bit. Can’t confirm but I believe it has gone down some this year.
  14. Sad night for all of baseball tonight as legendary broadcaster Vin Scully has passed away. https://www.mlb.com/news/vin-scully-legendary-announcer-dies
  15. The Cardinals were unwilling to give up their top prospects for Montas or Soto but give up Bader for Montgomery????
  16. B- The Brewers had to trade Hader either this deadline, off season or the next deadline. So I can understand the trade and it wasn't a bad trade either. The trade was rather fair. Bush I like the trade just don't like Kelly in the deal. Rosenthal I like this trade and thought the Brewers should have signed him in the offseason. Only thing keeping this from a B+/A- would have been another bat. After Bell I really didn't like anyone else for the Brewers and Mancini had already been traded for. The Brewers needed another bat against LHP it didn't need to be an impact bat.
  17. Not really as nearly all parts of Phoenix you can hear someone speaking Spanish and plenty of restaurants in the downtown Phoenix are speak primarily Spanish. The problem with the area is once the sun goes down the guns come out. It is one of the highest crime areas in Phoenix. The hospital there is known for treating trauma mostly gun shot wounds and stabbings. If you are ever shot in Phoenix request to go to the Maryvale hospital. In fact Maryvale is always near the top 10 of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Phoenix every year.
  18. LOL Cubs……. At least they will get a comp pick for Contreras? Seems like a waste to me. I think the Cubs were asking for more than what Contreras was worth.
  19. I think you guys are reading into this a little bit too much. He just lost a friend and a teammate how else is he supposed to respond?
  20. I think the Brewers go back to a closer by committee approach.
  21. I think Voit and Susana are the players being traded for Bell. The others are for Soto. This would be right around the price range for what I thought Bell would cost.
  22. I don’t think there is a fan store. The city I believe actually runs the day to day operations. So when you call the facility it is the city and not the Brewers you are calling. I believe it is only staffed during spring training other than the ticket booth for the ACL games. I am not even sure that is even staffed. I haven’t been down that way in awhile so not 100% sure what is or isn’t open.
  23. Hosmer also per Sherman.
  24. That seems like a lot for someone that has had a breakout year in Lopez.
  25. You are missing out. In 2012 I bought AMD and NVDA for about $4 a share each and invested $3k total and now my investment is sitting around $200k. There have been some losers in that time frame like loan depot and others but overall I am up far more than I would be if I just invested in mutual funds. If you are just investing in mutual funds you are not actually diversified and you should have some individual stocks. If you want to go the safe route there is always GE and others. Also finding stocks that pay consistent dividends and consistently increase the amount paid in dividends is another good strategy to add for individual stocks.
