So it looks like the Bucks are now pivoting to a rebuild and are willing to not bring in a superstar back and keep that superstar. So the Boston, Portland Milwaukee maybe a real possibility.
There is still the Giannis only wants to play for an Eastern conference team though. I think we can eliminate a Western conference team from acquiring Giannis which eliminates a lot of good trade possibilities. The Western conference teams are not going to give up as much as the Celtics or Heat will because they don't know if Giannis will resign with them or not.
The Heat have their offer in and it is basically the same offer as what they sent in during the trade deadline. The Bucks haven't shown a willingness to back down on their demands. There is a reported deal from the Celtics that doesn't include Brown or White. Not sure of the accuracy on that.
The rumored Heat offer is Herro, Ware, Jacquez and the 13th pick in this draft. This is probably the deal that the Bucks will be taking for Giannis. Don't expect much more than this if Giannis is traded.
Orlando, Portland and Minnesota are still interested in trading for Giannis but as pointed out earlier Giannis doesn't want to play on a Western conference team so that just leaves Orlando. This not wanting to play on a Western conference team is going to kill some of Giannis' value on the market.
Portland may still figure their way into a trade but it will be as a third team in a trade. If the Boston rumor is true then I would think Portland would have to be in those discussions. I am just not sure how they would be without Brown going to Portland.
If Boston doesn't get Giannis then I expect them to go after Portis, but I wouldn't expect much in return maybe someone like Tonje or Hauser plus an expiring makes sense here.
