  1. If the 49ers were going to acquire Rodgers it would have been this past off season.
  2. I think the Blue Jays would be more interested in getting Ramirez than Hader.
  3. Bostad to coach Oline again. https://247sports.com/college/wisconsin/Article/Wisconsin-Badgers-football-Bob-Bostad-offensive-line-coach-according-to-reports-Paul-Chryst--181066111/
  4. I believe he used to comment in the comment section on the MJS site also from time to time. I think those were worse than his Twitter ones but I could be not remembering this correctly it has been about 10 or so years since I have seen comments on the MJS articles. Though I don't really blame him for those comments it was like the people commenting there had a brain of a drunken 3-year old.
  5. He was ok as long as he wasn't interacting with the fans and his rankings for prospects were just whatever the team said were the best prospects very little thought was put into his rankings.
  6. Because the Brewers need a bat that has some power in it especially in the #4 spot in the lineup. Houser is also a good #4 or #3 pitcher but his value is only so high because of the high demand for pitching and the limited supply. Even with the low average Gallo would have been the 2nd or 3rd best offensive player on the Brewers. Voit is not a platoon player as he doesn't really have an extreme split against LHP or RHP. I don't see the Angels giving up Walsh for anyone unless that someone is Burnes or Woodruff. Your final trade makes no sense for the Yankees. None of the players they are getting back are worth what they gave up to the A's.
  7. It also helps that Marquette plays in an NBA sized arena. At least this probably helps with recruiting?
  8. The A's normally don't trade for guys who are in arbitration when they are looking to shred payroll. So Tellez makes zero sense along with Dominic Smith so I see the A's rejecting this trade. Yes the A's would have to replace Olson with someone but that someone would be someone making the league minimum and not someone in their 1st or 2nd year of arbitration. So someone is either adding Piscotty or Andrus to their team if the A's are taking on Smith or Tellez. I just do not see the A's taking on someone who is already in arbitration. I think a Yankees, Brewers and A's trade makes more sense. Brewers get: Gallo Voit Yankees get: Olson Houser A's get: Dominguez Peraza
  9. I smashed my knee into my desk today trying to get my chair to roll correctly. Hurt worse than hitting my elbow into the door trying to get my dog out of the way so I could take a shower this morning. Wednesday's are bugging me.
  10. I found this interesting the Dodgers, Brewers and Marlins all signed 30 or more all other teams were around 20 or less with some signing far less. League average was around 16 per team. The Brewers, Dodgers and Marlins accounted for 22% of all of the signings in the league which is crazy. There were 6 teams that signed less than 10 players and there were 2 teams who signed less than 5 players the A's(4) and White Sox(3). There were 16 teams that signed less than 15 players. Only 6 teams signed 20 or more players which accounted for almost 40% of the signings this year. It looks like the Brewers, Dodgers and Marlins all have the same strategy on signing international players using their bonus pool money.
  11. This was someone the Cardinals signed with their International Bonus signing money. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/mlb-international-prospects-signing-preview-tracker-for-2022/
  12. Hopefully he can run routes correctly otherwise we are doomed to see the same 5-yards and out patterns from the WR's again. The pessimist in me says this guy will be lucky to even start a game as WR2.
  13. So you are saying you don't want to see this again?
  14. But he is "special"!
  15. Jrue and Giannis is fine but when Jrue is out that hurts the team a lot as they have to rely on Hill being the PG or Giannis being the PG which hurts both offensively and defensively. Missing Middleton hurts the least and to a lesser extent Lopez. Defensively there is a gap between Portis and Lopez but offensively there is not, I actually believe the offense is better with Portis in the lineup than with Lopez. Jrue being out has hurt the Bucks a lot as the PG play takes a deep dive going from Jrue to Hill. Having Jrue out also hurts the guard rotations as DDV isn't 100% healthy and is still trying to get into a groove. The guard rotation with Jrue is nearly perfect as they can substitute and go smaller with Hill and DDV/Connaughton. The Bucks also have a good rotation with bringing in Allen/Matthews/Connaughton/Nwora/Hood for Middleton. I think the SF and SG position is covered very well with DDV, Connaughton, Hood, Nwora, Matthews and Allen. It is PG just like last year that is lacking. While I like Hill and what he brings to the team he is old and he shouldn't really be playing a lot of minutes as the main PG on a team. I think once they get fully healthy and have their full rotation setup so some of the fringe players are not playing more minutes than they should be the Bucks will be ok. The Nets just lost KD for awhile and will be basically going through what the Bucks had to go through in the first half of the season though they were without Kyrie for awhile and still are somewhat. Repeating is also hard to do in any sport. It is going to be hard for the Bucks to repeat but I think they have the best shot to repeat.
  16. Ray Allen was a great player but not really a super star in the league when he played. Around the league he was widely respected but he wasn't one of the stars in the league when he played at least not what is considered a star player now. Allen just didn't have that name recognition like other players had at that time. Garnet, Iverson, Kobe and others were just more popular at the time when Allen was playing. As for the last part that would be the difference between how the game was played when Allen was playing and now. There are a whole lot more 3's being shot than when Allen was playing. The mid game or the Jordan game was more popular when Allen was playing. Allen would probably have put up more 3's if he were playing the game now.
  17. The Bengals would be a really good Super Bowl team but that OL is absolutely garbage!
  18. I wonder what Burrow would have put up this year with a better offensive line. Burrow was sacked 51 times this year more than any other QB and I believe the Bears OL was the only other OL to give up more sacks this year. Let that sink in Burrow with an offensive line only put up a slightly lower rating than Rodgers did. Put Burrow on the Packers or the Packers OL on the Bengals and Burrow would be a better QB. I don't believe Rodgers or even Brady would have done as well as Burrow did with the Bengals OL and that is mostly due to age. If you go back to 2018 the last time Rodgers was sacked about as many times as Burrow was this year, he had a rating of 97.6 while Burrow in 2021 has a rating of 108.3 which is only 3.6 behind Rodgers in 2021. You could make a case for Burrow as an MVP also this season. More yards than Rodgers with the same attempts and a higher completion percentage also. The biggest difference between Rodgers and Burrow are the INT's. Future wise Burrow with a better OL will be the next MVP the talent is there and he should be ready to really break out next year if the Bengals are able to fix that OL.
  19. In Arizona there are housing developments that are geared towards retirees. I wish I could qualify for these homes as they are in a rather affordable price. These are mostly manufactured homes but they actually look really good from the outside and inside. I worked with someone who retired and sold their home and moved into one of these communities. She sold her home for $300k and then bought a manufactured home for about $75k. It was a nice house for the price and about the same size as a condo or townhouse.
  20. If they go 2-4 they should be ok and get a 8-10 seeding assuming they go 5-2 in the final 7 games. They need to win at least one of the 6 games otherwise I think it is the NIT for them. I think this is a good first year with a new coach.
  21. The Bucks absolutely crushed the Warriors in the first half. The Bucks were cruising 77-38 at halftime. There were 0 lead changes and the game was only tied once. That is absolutely dominating!
  22. Depends on how much you want to spend. Whenever these get released by ASUS they will be good but they will probably cost about $1,000. https://www.asus.com/Networking-IoT-Servers/Whole-Home-Mesh-WiFi-System/ZenWiFi-WiFi-Systems/ASUS-ZenWiFi-Pro-ET12/ https://www.asus.com/Networking-IoT-Servers/Whole-Home-Mesh-WiFi-System/ZenWiFi-WiFi-Systems/ASUS-ZenWiFi-Pro-XT12/ Otherwise there is the Netgear ones but they are rather pricey and don't have a desktop GUI. I believe it is just a phone application only. Also stay away from the Nighthawk ones. I have heard some bad things about those. https://www.netgear.com/home/wifi/mesh/
  23. I am not surprised seeing Phoenix and Tucson on the list. The housing market both for rent and buying has exploded due to people moving here from California and Canada well mostly California.
  24. Zero interest from the Angels. Maybe Hiura for Upton plus prospects but definitely not Adell. Adell is who the Angels want to replace Upton. I just don't see the Angels moving Adell for anything other than pitching.
