  1. Yes but what are the odds that Rodgers wouldn't fight that and make it public? That would be a very ugly situation for the Packers and Rodgers. They probably already have a number that Rodgers will pay back but it is probably still a significant hit to the Packers cap.
  2. Probably a controversial thing but Run Hide Fight was actually a pretty good movie that isn't getting the recognition it deserves. As for Batman there is an overly rich white people bad except for Batman. Without going into the plot too much it is a theme that goes throughout the movie. Even the majority of the corrupt police officers are white. So it does go into the identity politics a lot.
  3. Yeah it is very quiet on Castellanos. The only rumors before the lockout was with the Marlins and that was before they signed Garcia. I think right now as it stands if Castellanos is still sitting out there like Grandal and Turner were sitting out there I could see Stearns try and sneak in and steal him on a 1-year deal similar to the Grandal signing. Bryant has also been a relatively quiet name also with only the Rockies showing up recently. Story is also someone who hasn't been mentioned much though there are some speculation on the Twins and Story. Rizzo has been linked to the Yankees as a fallback if they didn't get Olson. Schwarber has also been somewhat quiet on him but I think he will return to the Red Sox. Conforto is also someone that hasn't been mentioned at all. Like I said previously he may have to wait until the draft pick compensation is no longer associated with him. I think the players and the owners will probably want to avoid this if possible so Conforto may have to take a 1-year deal.
  4. It looks bad but sometimes you have to just move on. Olson is a good player and is younger than Freeman. Looking at it from a pure baseball perspective this is the right move for the Braves. This is the business side of the game and fairy tale endings don't always come true. The Braves valued Olson more than Freeman because he should produce longer than Freeman will. How much longer will Freeman be at the top compared to Olson? I think the odds of Freeman being productive throughout his next contract are far less likely than compared to Olson being productive throughout this extension.
  5. The Braves are signing Matt Olson to an 8-year contract. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/braves-matt-olson-eight-year-contract-extension.html
  6. With Olson traded I think the Yankees will now focus on Rizzo. The market for Conforto has been very quiet. I think he is going to be someone who will be hanging around for awhile and may even not sign until the draft compensation is no longer attached to him. Castellanos is another who's market is unknown. The only team that I have seen attached to him lately are the Marlins.
  7. The Cubs have a decent team they should be around 80 wins. The Reds look to be just below average and should be around the 70-75 win mark. The Pirates look to be a AAA team again so probably another 100+ loss season for them. The Brewers have the best pitching in the NL Central but the offense looks to be questionable at best. The Cardinals probably have the best offensive team in the division but their pitching looks problematic. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals win 90+ games and I wouldn't be surprised if they barely reach 85.
  8. I think this has more to do with a compromise with the umpire union. The umpires will still be able to call balls and strikes but if a player or coach challenges the called strike or ball it can be reviewed by the computer which will then correct the call or it will stand. Supposedly this review takes about five seconds to complete. I preferred the automation system telling the umpire if it was a ball or a strike. But I can see why the union wouldn't want to give up something like this.
  9. I don't think you are going to get Kelenic that cheaply. I think just to get the Mariners to listen you would have to do something like Ashby, Mitchell and Black. I don't see the Mariners letting Kelenic go unless they get a lot of value from that trade. I would rather keep the players than trade them for one player. If it were Mitchell and a lower level prospect sure but I don't think the Mariners would even entertain that.
  10. The runner on 2B after the 9th inning looks to be coming back. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlbs-runner-on-second-in-extras-rule-reportedly-could-return-league-testing-ball-strike-challenge-in-minors/
  11. With Olson off the board now that should open up the FA market for Bryant, Freeman, Castellanos, Schwarber, Story and Rizzo. My predictions: Rizzo to the Yankees on a 2-year deal ($24m) Schwarber to the Red Sox on a 4-year deal ($82m) Freeman to the Dodgers on a 5-year deal ($125m) Story to the Twins on a 5-year deal ($110m) Castellanos to the Rockies on a 4-year deal ($90m) Bryant to the Giants on a 5-year deal ($105m)
  12. Cheaper per year for the Braves to trade for Olson over retaining Freeman. They may have also gotten word that Freeman will be signing with the Dodgers or that the Dodgers offer to Freeman is more than what they could counter.
  13. Is it though? Some of the tweets look accurate from that account. If it is a troll account they are really good at it.
  14. 1. Ashby 2. Turang 3. Wiemer 4. Frelick 5. Mitchell 6. Hedbert Perez 7. Jeferson Quero 8. Jackson Chourio 9. Small 10. Black 11. Abner Uribe 12. Zamora 13. Eduardo Garcia 14. Joe Gray Jr. 15. Antoine Kelly 16. Lazar 17. Carlos Rodriguez 18. Mario Feliciano 19. Howell 20. Hendry Mendez 21. Eduarqui Fernandez 22. Luis Medina 23. Lutz 24. Felix Valerio 25. Thomas Dillard 26. Alejandro Marte 27. Ward 28. Ernesto Martinez 29. Pablo Abreu 30. Bello 31. McClanahan 32. Ray
  15. The Browns have traded for Watson?
  16. If the Packers trade Adams, I don't think the Packers will like what Rodgers will probably do. I wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers just retires or requests to be traded also. Diva Rodgers would definitely come out swinging if the Packers trade Adams.
  17. Baylor maybe a tough matchup for Marquette if they advance past UNC.
  18. Lopez and Hill will be returning but Bembry is out for the season. https://www.tmj4.com/sports/basketball/milwaukee-bucks/bucks-lopez-hill-returning-monday-bembry-out-for-season
  19. With the trade that the Yankees made with the Twins I think that takes them out of the running for Story and Correa. It may also take them out of the running for other free agents also as the Yankees will be taking on all of Donaldson's remaining contract. With the Yankees getting their shortstop that they wanted I think this means they are going to be getting Olson as they can now trade Volpe if they wanted to for Olson. I think the Brewers could possibly sneak in and get Rizzo if that is who they want. Not the ideal player that I would want to get but I think he fits inside the budget for the Brewers. I would rather have Conforto or Castellanos but I don't think Castellanos will fit inside the budget that the Brewers have set up. I would really want to get Bryant as I think he fits the best in the Brewers lineup of all of the free agents but I just don't see how the Brewers are going to be able to fit it in their budget. Maybe MA surprises everyone and opens up and goes after Bryant but I highly doubt he will do this.
  20. Some really bad defense tonight and also some very hot shooting by the Warriors.
  21. Norton is a trash company please dump their useless antivirus software as soon as possible. If you have Windows 10 then just use Windows Defender it is 1000x better than that scam company called Norton.
  22. NFL can still suspend him. Guessing any trade happens after they figure what they want to do. Roethlisberger was suspended and he was never charged. Right but I believe teams were reluctant to trade for him because of the possibility of him being charged. Now he will probably get like 3-4 game suspension if he even gets suspended.
  23. Watson will not face charges. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33478887/houston-texans-qb-deshaun-watson-face-criminal-charges-connection-sexual-misconduct-allegations How long until he is traded now?
  24. For the limited throws to 1B you could give a pitcher 5 throw overs per PA and if they want to throw over again it removes a strike from the batter and if the count is already 0 strikes then the count adds a ball. This would bring in some more strategic situations where the pitcher has to determine if they want to try the pickoff or go after the batter. Would make for some interesting situations.
  25. Unlikely to happen unless you are doing some crazy tax write off amounts.
