Catcher and any of the OF spots are actually covered rather well for the Brewers in the minors. Feliciano is a good catching prospect and there are a few others in the minors that have some promising futures. As for the OF prospects they are further away as most are in the lower levels. First base and third base are the real problems but I think those can easily be solved in free agency. Justin Turner is a FA this off season and he could be a target for either 1B or 3B though he is on the older side. Profar is also a free agent this off season he could be someone to target for 3B. If a Hader trade happens we should see two really good prospects added to the team.

I am not sure why people keep on bringing Lux up he is not available and won't be available for Hader unless you add Woodruff to the deal. It is just uninformed ridiculousness to even bring up Lux in any kind of trade unless it is some kind of blockbuster trade like Hader and Woodruff to the Dodgers for Lux +. The Dodgers were not willing to put Lux in a trade for Lindor that says enough about how the Dodgers feel about Lux. There is no way the Brewers could get Lux for Hader there just isn't and bringing it up every time in this thread is just dumb. I don't see the White Sox going after Hader and I don't see the Dodgers giving up much for Hader either. That leaves the Yankees and they really only have maybe one prospect that Stearns is looking for to headline that deal everything after that is just not worth it. The Padres were the team with the best prospect and the ones that match up with the Brewers needs but if they trade for Clevinger they are out of the running and that leaves the White Sox, Dodgers and the Yankees who don't really have the prospects to meet the demands of Stearns. I don't see a trade for Hader happening unless it is with the Padres. The prospects are there in the Padres system but they will be gone if they trade for Clevinger.

Yeah, they received the #26 prospect in baseball at the time, who didn't make his MLB debut until two seasons later. There was no 'MLB proven talent' that headlined that deal. That deal was made at the trade deadline in 2016. At the end of 2016, Torres was consensus top 10 prospect and would make his debut in April 2018 barely over one season later. Besides Chapman was a two month rental. Hader has 3 full seasons of control after this year. Still not worth Tatis Jr. as he has more value than Hader does to the Padres and overall. The trade I put together for Hader to the Padres of Abrams, Patino and Trammell blows the Chapman deal out of the water and causes a tsunami that creates the bay of Arizona. You are just not going to get Tatis Jr from the Padres it would be like asking the Brewers to trade Yelich for Cole it is just not happening. If you ask for Tatis Jr the Padres in their right would ask for Yelich and not add anything to the deal. If you want to do a Hader and Yelich for Tatis Jr sure that could work but not Hader for Tatis Jr. this wanting a proved MLB player is just weird but in the year of the weirdos I guess this is just normal.

This would work if the DH would stay in the NL for next year which I think it would. Cain CF, Marte LF, Garcia RF and Yelich at DH. The OF defense would improve with Marte in LF over Yelich though it wouldn't be by all that much. Marte hasn't played RF and I believe he doesn't have the arm to play RF so he is a CF or LF only which would be fine if you want to play Marte in CF when Cain needs a day off or two. I think an Ashby, Lutz and Taylor package should get this trade done. Maybe just Lutz and Ashby or Lutz and Taylor could also be enough.

It was a makeup for the one right before that was a strike. There were no strikes thrown for the first 4 pitches in that AB. Pitches 1 2 and 3 were clearly out of the zone and pitch 4 was way out of the strike zone. The closes pitch was the 2nd pitch of that AB and that wasn't even a close pitch either.

I agree with the Dodgers not trading any of their top prospects away after the Betts trade. I think you can add the Phillies to the list also and I was going to add the Mets but their farm system doesn't have a player I would want in return for Hader. I think for the Padres I would go: Abrams, Patino and Trammell White Sox: Vaughn, Kopech and Bush Phillies: Bohm, Morales and Stott The Padres trade is probably the best of the three by far in terms of talent but I like the Players in the Phillies trade more as I think Morales is someone who has rising stock and could be a very good #1 or #2 type starter.

My question is do you think the never should make political commentary? That just seems incredibly limiting to them as people. I believe CheezWizHed is talking about making a political statement while playing not that they can't have political commentary outside of the game. Entertainers can have a political agenda but please keep it out of the entertainment realm if you want to spout your ideas on politics or whatever on their own time and on their own personal media fine do that. If you are going to do it while playing a game or doing whatever your entertainment is I am going to criticize it and tell them to shut up and just do what they are being paid to do. In high school I worked at a hospital and got the flu shot every year after high school and I went to college I never got the flu shot again. About 5-years ago I got the flu shot at work and got so sick it was worse than the flu couldn't keep liquids or food down for about a week. Never had a flu shot since and haven't been sick since there is probably something in the flu shot that my body doesn't like so I just don't get them. I am hesitant on the COVID shot or whatever you want to call it. I will wait and see if it actually works and if the side effects that do come with it are more of a hassle than the actual disease.

What about Clevinger and Plesac for Hader? There are rumors that one or both maybe traded by or before the deadline. Doesn't solve the hitting issue but it would give the Brewers a rotation of Clevinger, Woodruff, Plesac, Houser and Burnes. That would be a really good rotation where the offense is not going to need to be that much of an issue.

For a bat I think these players are all on the table but I am not sure teams are going to be willing to put money in on a deal due to the season so I think returns for players who have a high salary are going to bring in less than they normally would. Depending on the future there may not be fans again next year for MLB which will cut into their revenue and thus teams are going to go with younger and cheaper players. Seager is not young nor is he cheap. The same with Belt the Giants are going to have a hard time finding a suitor for him and get a decent return. Seager and Frazier make the most sense for the Brewers. I believe Stearns will go with below the radar guys like Dickerson, Seager or Frazier. I would love to get either Yastrzemski or Benintendi but I am not sure if the Red Sox are willing to part with Benintendi and I believe the Giants maybe over valuing Yastrzemski and you won't see him moved by the deadline. Think Casey McGehee type of value where teams are not sure of what his value is and it maybe lower than what the Giants believe his value truly is. I am not writing the Magic off I just don't believe they have the depth to win but Portland is a horrible match up for the Lakers and they could easily lose that series as Portland does a lot of things offensively that the Lakers are poor at stopping. The same thing the Lakers are poor at stopping offensively mainly guard play is what Houston is good at. The Lakers have no one to stop Westbrook or Harden. Portland just has Lillard that the Lakers are having a hard time guarding. The Lakers are in more trouble than the Bucks are though the Bucks may also be lucky to get out of the 2nd round.

I am not all that worried about playing the Magic the Bucks should win and will win. The next series is more worrisome against the Heat. The Heat are probably the worst match up for the Bucks even before the pandemic. That series will go a full 7 games.

The Braves top prospect Cristian Pache will make his MLB debut tonight.

Probably would play all of the games in Indianapolis.
