  1. I can't speak to Arizona, but I lived in CA for 6.5 years and in IL for almost 4 years and Illinois drivers are worse than CA drivers and it isn't even close. IL drivers are the most selfish drivers I have ever seen - never have I been anywhere where they pull out into the intersection when the light is changing even though it is blocked ahead and they can't get through, blocking the intersection for the cross-traffic. IL drivers think that if they can get ahead of one or two more vehicles that will make all the difference in the world in their commute, whether that is forcing themselves into the intersection, passing on the right shoulder/where there isn't a lane, not merging until the last second, you name it. In CA everybody knows there is traffic everywhere and they, for the most part, just deal with it and take their turns. (CA also had legitimate road rage incidents, and I think that has made people think twice about being a jerk.) The ones that drive in AZ are horrible. They do everything you are describing what IL drivers do but multiple that by 10. If you are traveling on the I-10 and merge onto I-17 you have to watch out for the CA drivers returning to CA as they sit in the right lane that is an exit only lane for I-17 and wait until there is nothing left but a huge break down lane or worse they stop completely in the exit lane that is going at 55mph or faster so you can merge onto I-17 at a decent speed. They are also driving at about 25mph or slower so they can merge. There are 3 lanes plus a HOV lane which they already have 2+ people in their vehicle and are not driving in the HOV lane. Makes no sense.
  2. This and the not pulling out into the intersection when there is no red left turn arrow. Why stop at the crosswalk you are impeding traffic. Van Buren and 7th st is always backed up because of this especially between the hours of 3PM-6pm. It is so annoying being stuck in the left turn lane because someone didn't pull out to the middle of the intersection. Ugg I really hate Arizona and California drivers. Illinois drivers are saints compared to them.
  3. I've always assumed that those are all the same person.... Must be a midwest thing for #3 but #2 is by far the worst.
  4. Florida COVID numbers are about as accurate as China's they are cooking the books on the number of positive numbers. https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/fox-35-investigates-florida-department-of-health-says-some-labs-have-not-reported-negative-covid-19-results
  5. Some of the pilots were from the DC area. You can tie it into DC being the home for all of the military as it is the nation's capitol.
  6. I like the Red Tails idea.
  7. There is always udemy and I use datacamp from time to time. I havent used udemy in a long time some like it and some really really hate it. https://www.datacamp.com/courses/topic:case_studies
  8. You can't buy assault rifles in the US well you can you just have to buy a stamp from the ATF and also pass the background check and then dish out $30k-100k for the rifle itself. To be considered an assault rifle it has to have a fire mode selection going from safety to semi, 3-roumd burst or automatic. No rifles currently being sold to the public in the US have this select fire option. The AR in AR-15 stands for Armalite Rifle. Sorry this just bugs me when someone claims there are assault rifles being bought or owned in the US. There are still some pre NFA assault rifles but again you have to get the stamp to own them and you will have to pay about $30k just to buy it if you can find an individual who maybe selling their 20+ year old rifle.
  9. I will have to look up the study that was done on school spending and where it goes again if I can find it again that is. But it stated the majority of the funding goes to administration than it does to buildings, technology, supplies, activities and teacher salaries.
  10. Maybe this is old scouting information but I know the scouts in the past were asked to gauge the players interest in signing. They would also have to figure in what they would sign for. This is information from back in the late 90's and early 2000's so it may not be relevant anymore.
  11. Sounds like it will be possible that the NFL will be playing in mostly empty stadiums with a max capacity of about 20%. The Ravens have put out their plans for the season. The Ravens will only have 14,000 fans at their stadium. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ravens-drastically-cut-stadium-capacity-in-move-that-hints-at-what-nfl-attendance-will-look-like-in-2020/ Probably a good idea Mahomes signed that contract because it is not looking good for future revenue for the league. Probably going to be a cap reduction at some point if this continues.
  12. Newton really hasn't had a big time receiver on the team either for a significant portion of his career. Greg Olsen was probably his best receiving option who would actually you know catch the ball and not drop it. McCaffrey being his next best receiving option after Olsen. I think Newton will play perfectly fine in New England's offense where they will be running the ball more and basically going for the medium and short passing options. I am not sure the Patriots have a WR that is really a deep threat at all but they still have Edelman and he will catch the ball if it is thrown to him. Oh and the Patriots will be able to franchise tag Newton so there is that.
  13. One of my coworkers here in Phoenix said they were given the option of all online or 2-days in class and 3-days at home. What I found weird is the days they gave tue and wed or thur and fri which makes no sense to me. A schedule of Mon and Tue would make more sense especially for people working. Normally the people who can work from home Mon makes the most sense but also thur fri isn't also bad but tue wed is just mind boggling.
  14. I think the Brewers would request Nashville for AAA, Biloxi for AA, and then Carolina and Wisconsin for A ball. I think the rookie leagues will go away and the teams will just use their spring training sites for a rookie league or an instructional league. I think the Dominican league will also stay you may see some recent drafted players go there instead of the rookie leagues.
  15. Just file a dispute. If it is on your credit card it will more than likely be reversed if it is on your debit card good luck because that can take some time.
  16. Called the Newton to Patriots earlier in the off season and now it is true: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2882769-report-cam-newton-patriots-agree-to-1-year-incentive-laden-contract
  17. The percentages don't matter as it is how you view everything. The reason why both are self-centered is because you are thinking this is the right way that is why it is self-centered. No matter the outcome and no matter the reason you put behind it, it is still self-centered. You believe what you are doing is right while the person not wearing the mask is thinking they are doing what is right. Basically you are being self-centered because you only see your side of the view and not the other persons view.
  18. Again you are just justifying why you wear a mask and why the person who doesn't is evil for not following what you feel is right.
  19. So is wearing a mask it is a self-centered choice. You may substitute your reasoning that it is for the common good but in reality you are just trying to save yourself and the ones you love. So you are still self-centered on your choice.
  20. I think you guys are looking at the weather incorrectly. It is not the weather having an impact on the disease it is the impact of the weather on transmitters. For example in Arizona people are not outside during the months of June to September or are out very little and only for short amount of times. From friends and coworkers who live in Florida and Texas they have the similar outcome though I believe they end a month earlier. It is not the weather having an impact on COVID it is the weather having an impact on the transmitters. So in states that have high humidity and excessive heat you tend to see people staying indoors or inside air conditioned buildings. I believe opening up more places like beaches and parks where you can socially distance at a safe distance would be best. To me masks are dumb but I am not going to tell you not to wear one or to wear one. It is your choice to wear one or not to wear one and as long as your safely socially distancing yourself from others I don't see a problem with someone not wearing a mask. In places like bars or restaurants that are packed to capacity I find it dumb to be wearing a mask as you are not getting any kind of protection by wearing a mask in that situation.
  21. Yes, CA is also experiencing a big spike in cases. As is North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, etc...methinks it's weather-related. The good news is the fatality rate is dropping. Apparently the spike is caused by younger people who are less likely to die. But it has also caused a big spike in hospitalizations in many of the above states. Will it get to the point where they reach bed/resource capacity? Remains to be seen. My fear is that this thing is going to go bonkers again up north come late October. Hypothesis: Warmer weather states will have higher COVID transmission during the summer months while having lower transmission rates during the winter months. The reverse will happen in the colder weather states. This maybe the new norm or how this virus will work.
  22. Hear me out in this to stop the spread of COVID we should just build a bunch of human sized hamster balls. If you need to go anywhere you just get in the hamster ball and walk around. Think of it it would cure COVID and diabetes! You could even have these arm sockets that could be made of plastic rubbery stuff and you could grab things with them. PURE GENIOUS RIGHT HERE!!!!!! You can thank me later!
