  1. Thames has the same value that Lind had. While Thames is not going to get you a top 50 prospect he still has value. You are probably looking at prospects in the lower minors low A, rookie, or in the DSL rather than a prospect in AA or AAA. Aguillar has a lot of value and I would consider trading him for someone like McKenzie. The Brewers best and probably only option to bring in an ace type pitcher would be to trade Aguillar this off season. I don't believe the Brewers would do this but it is an option worth considering.
  2. It's extremely difficult to get tickets if not a season ticket holder. I think they do some sort of mini lottery for each game/series. You'll probably be looking at secondary market for tickets unless you get lucky. I personally bought standing room only tickets to game 5 against the dbacks for $60 apiece. I doubt you could get a ticket with a seat anywhere in the park for less than $100 on the secondary market...especially considering if we make the DS it will very likely be against the cubs. I hope some how the Brewers play the Dbacks in the playoffs. I scored LF bleachers in the front row for about $30. I get free parking in downtown Phoenix also.
  3. So excited for CyberPunk 2077. I would link the video here but the video is NSFW. There is a 40 minute gameplay on YouTube from gamecom if you want to watch it.
  4. That is why I said only the first half of the first game of the year. TE looked weak during the game no separation like the WR when running their routes. I like Ferguson but he didn't look all that impressive in the first half maybe it was more to do with Hornibrook than him. I am still rather nervous with the offense and Hornibrook at QB. If he continues to just air out the ball under throwing the ball with a lot of air under it, this could be a long season. It looks like Hornibrook is still playing QB at HS where you are putting more air under the ball and the WR rather than throwing spirals and line drives to your WR. This is what is wrong with Hornibrook he is lofting his throws to much which is allowing defenders to make plays on passes they shouldn't be able to. This is going to hurt the Badgers against teams like Michigan and Ohio State as they are going to be able to stack the line knowing that Hornibrook is just going to be lofting balls instead of driving them to his WR allowing their DB's to cover more ground.
  5. I didn't say he was going anywhere. If the Brewers had to choose between Braun or Thames on the playoff roster I would choose Thames as he would be the better choice offensively.
  6. Cedeno has been statistically better and more reliably healthy than Hader this year? That should have been blue, more of a response to the guy thinking Thames deserves a playoff roster spot over braun OK lets see here Thames has a wRC+ of 103 while Braun has a wRC+ of 94. Yeah having Thames over Braun in the playoffs would be a bad idea. Also Thames has a ISO of .268 which puts him in the elite power hitter category while Braun only has a ISO of .193 which puts him just above average. If you want to go even further Braun has an even lower percentage of hard hit balls at 38.6% while Thames has a 49.3%.
  7. He would then accrue MLB service time and that is why he is not on the DL.
  8. What type of posts? Thames is better than Braun offensively and defensively it is not that wide of a margin. Even with Thames bad defense in the OF he is still a better player than Braun is right now.
  9. I would rather have Thames on the post season roster than Braun.
  10. Harrison sure but Lara was in danger of not being on a minor league roster for the Brewers.
  11. Only the first half of the first game but the D-Line looks weak. Absolutely no push at all. WR and TE look weak also. Somewhat concerned that the Badgers are not going to play with the top teams unless Hornibrook is perfect. Badgers need to find another weapon on offense.
  12. Rodman on the Bulls was closer to the end of his career where he was basically a liability on offense other than grabbing rebounds. Rodman on the Pistons was another story though he still wasn't all that great on offense then either.
  13. Whenever I see a Prius I just can't get the South Park smug episode out of my head and I laugh.
  14. I think this umpire needs to get his eyes checked.
  15. The last time they were ranked this high in a preseason poll would have been in 2000 I think?
  16. Bullpen management is not going to matter if they are struggling to score more than 2 runs a game. This team really needs a good Santana hitting like he was last year. Braun is basically useless unless playing the Cubs or some AAAA pitcher. Can we just DL Braun until we play the Cubs again?
  17. I wonder if it would be better to just move to a point system for wins, extra inning games, and extra inning game wins than just the standard Win Loss record.
  18. By my eyes Abreu is the superior defender, and by some margin. Anecdotally, Ward has 4 innings in CF this summer, Abreu has 296. Abreu has more innings in RF as well. I see it in the opposite direction where Abreu looks more like a corner OF and Ward is more of a CF. Both will more than likely be moved to the corners. I like Abreu's arm more so I think he can handle RF which increases his value where I think Ward is either a CF or a LF. If Ward gets any bigger he definitely won't be a CF and will need to move to LF. I think Ward needs to get bigger as he needs to develop some more power as is evident in his current slash line. If Ward can find some more power you have two very similar players offensively. Pablo Abreu slash line .266 / .370 / .475 / .845 Je'von Ward slash line .308 / .394 / .408 / .802
  19. Abreu has matured a lot since he was first signed with the Brewers. The plate discipline wasn't there previously and he was an all or nothing hitter or at least that is what the scouting reports say. I haven't seen any newer scouting reports on Abreu but if he continues to show the plate discipline he has he could rocket up the charts next year. Another player to watch out for is Je'Von Ward. He improved his plate discipline a bit this year also (22 walks) compared to last year (9 walks). The only thing that worries me about Ward is that he needs to develop some more power and he needs to continue to walk as last year he struck out 39 times in 32 games. Ward has been doing better in the strikeout category this year though he still needs to improve. Next years Wisconsin OF should be interesting with Ward and Abreu out there. I am not sure who takes CF but both could be destined for corner OF spots I'll give the edge to Ward in staying in CF over Abreu long term.
  20. That makes Bret Hart the only surviving member of the Hart family?
  21. Personality helps and it can take a while to get a following. Some people make up to a couple $100k a year.
  22. Overall the Cubs are better than the Brewers and the safe bet is to pick the Cubs to win the division over the Brewers. I don't believe the media are overlooking the Brewers it is just the reality of the situation where the Cubs are the better team.
