  1. Without Rodgers the Packers would be more like the Bengals or the Chargers. Basically they go from a good team to an average to below average team. At best without Rodgers the Packers are a 10-6 team if everything goes their way. Talent wise without Rodgers the team is a 4-6 win team.
  2. Thames can play corner OF too. Lots of flexibility on the roster. There just is not enough playing time for both Thames and Wieters. Are you going to play Thames over Braun or Santana? The only way you are getting more playing time is if Braun is traded and you put Thames in LF and have Wieters play 1B. That is probably the only situation where you will have enough flexibility on the roster and enough playing time to play both Thames and Wieters. There just is not enough playing time available to add Wieters to the roster right now.
  3. This would have made sense before Thames signed but now not so much. The Brewers could have had Wieters play the majority of his games at 1B and also be the 3rd catcher on the team.
  4. I would think a receiver would be the best option. Bluetooth for Pandora and the wired for the record player. Is this a home office?
  5. Goodman was the only good thing in that movie.
  6. I am still hoping that Snoke is Darth Malgus from Star Wars the Old Republic. http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/10/103176/2699536-darthmalgus.jpg
  7. What a game by Marquette.
  8. I wonder if this has to do with not having enough room at the facilities in Maryvale for two teams?
  9. I made a chicken for Xmas which was very similar to this. Kept the brine and used some of it for juice in the slow cooker to keep it warm turned out very nice. Also smoked chicken in chicken noodle soup is the best!
  10. Not sure I would put Hader #1 but I guess he is there because of how close he is.
  11. The Bucks didn't draft Middleton he was included in the Jennings trade to Detroit.
  12. Not really the majority of closers pitch in low leverage opportunities. Think about it when do closers come into the game? The majority of their opportunities are when the team is up by 3 runs. The 7th and 8th inning pitchers come in when it is close and late in the game. The 7th and 8th inning guys are going to get at a minimum the same amount of high leverage opportunities if not more than your closer will. So Feliz is not going to be taking away high leverage opportunities from the guys who still might be here in a year or two. The only thing Feliz will be taking away from them is the counting stat of saves. Which actually benefits the Brewers as it will keep their arbitration numbers down.
  13. So the Bucks have a half game lead over the Pacers for 5th in the east and are 1.5 behind the Hawks. If the season ended today I like the Bucks chances of winning that series against the Hawks. Any lower than the 5th seed and I don't really like the Bucks chances of winning a playoff series.
  14. Nope watched it 10 times now and still do not see an illegal hit. Edit: No name calling, please.
  15. Not sure why there should be a fine? It was a normal legal hit by the Giants defender that came at a bad time when Nelson was reaching for the ball and got hit in the ribs instead of in his arms. There was nothing the defender did that would warrant a fine. It was not a legal hit. You cannot lead with the crown of your helmet. Did you watch the game? They even had that "expert" guy chime in and confirm that it was not legal. I didn't see him lead with the crown of his helmet it is the same hit that quarterbacks get hit with when they are sacked. Nothing illegal by that hit.

  17. An older band but I still like them: Old Crow Medicine Show And also Grandpa's Cough Medicine
  18. I guess I fall under this "hipster" music loving as I like a lot of bands that hardly anyone has heard of. One of my favorite band that probably no one has ever heard of is BackWordz. I also like these weird bluegrass bands like The Steeldrivers. BackWordz The Steeldrivers
  19. Yep.you are right haven't looked at the market map in awhile and actually all of Wisconsin is considered part of the Minnesota Wilds market now.
  20. Milwaukee falls under the Blackhawks market according to the NHL. The Milwaukee market includes all of South eastern Wisconsin. The Ducks had to pay the Kings $25m when they became a franchise. I would expect at least $35-40m going to the Blackhawks in any deal that would bring an NHL franchise to Milwaukee if not more.
  21. We are instructed at work to have our signature close with "Kind regards" as a norm. Drives me nuts. I think it comes more from non-native English speaking culture (we are a German company). Also, another non-native English speaking phrase that bugs me is "do the needful" (i.e. please perform the action I need you to do). That would drive me nuts. Someone created an email template at work today with the kind regards before the signature line. That was changed immediately so not using that part of the template.
  22. Right now the Brewers are stuck in trading Braun. It is the Dodgers or no one right now with the Giants backing out. This has been the reason why Braun's value is so low. It is not because of his contract and it is not because of the PED's or the injuries. The Brewers have a couple of teams that they can trade Braun to and only two have shown interest. When you have a limited demand combined with a low demand the value drops. If the Dodgers don't get Dozier they will try to get Braun but neither Bellinger or DeLeon are coming in the trade. It will be something very similar to what was rumored during the waiver wire claims last season. McCarthy, Puig, and two low level prospects for Braun. I think the prospects will be someone like De Jong as the pitcher and either Heredia or Ibandel Isabel as the positional player in the trade. Both Heredia and Isabel will be wild cards and I wouldn't be surprised if Stearns goes even farther down in the minors and takes someone else than De Jong. Someone like Caleb Ferguson jumps out to me who Stearns may pick over someone like De Jong or Heredia or Isabel.
  23. I hate work emails that end with regards or best regards. I don't know why this is bugging me but it is.
  24. I would have thought the Brewers would have at least some interest in Vitters last year with the hole they had at 3B in AAA and in the majors. The Brewers still have a hole at 3B in AAA and not much behind Shaw in the majors other than Perez and Villar.
  25. It's simple really why Milwaukee won't ever have an NHL franchise. The Blackhawks are never going to give up the market area at least not without a rather high price tag. The NHL franchise price is already rather ridiculous and when you add in paying off Chicago there would be very little money left for the owner to invest in the team and for an arena. Unless you see the city of Milwaukee paying 100% for the arena for an NHL team I don't see how a team will ever be in Milwaukee in the NHL.
