  1. Lucroy and Gomez are names that the Brewers should not be openly shopping. Teams need to be coming to the Brewers for those two.
  2. What about trading for Hibbert?
  3. What about Tyler Jay from the University of Illinois at the 15th pick? I think he could become an effective starter or an elite bullpen arm. Luke Lowery and Kevin Newman are two players who come to mind with exceptional OBP skills. With Newman I don't think he can stick at SS which means he has very little value unless he is able to play 2B which I think he could do. He just doesn't have the arm to stick at SS in my opinion. Newman also doesn't have any power at all so you will be stuck with a low OPS 2B which in my opinion would be fine as he does draw a lot of walks. He grades up there close to JJ Hardy in terms of instincts at SS so he could stick at SS but I have severe doubts he will stick at SS. Lowery has above average power and I believe he will be a 1B in the majors. The best comp I can think of for Lowery would be James Loney.
  4. My top three are: 1.Ted Simmons 2. Andy Haines 3. Torey Lovullo I really like Andy Haines as he would be someone I would be comfortable with bringing along younger players.
  5. Gennett a great trade chip? At best you are getting a AAAA player for Gennett. Lohse has some value but not enough to bring back a solid prospect at best you are looking at a teams 6-10 ranked prospect and that is the best case scenario. As for Ramirez you are probably only going to get a AAAA player or a high risk player like the K-Rod trade to Baltimore. The only real asset the Brewers have in terms of a trade are Sardinas, Gomez, Nelson, and Peralta. Braun really needs to be moved to 1B his body is just to fragile right now to be playing in the OF. I would start with playing Braun at 1B versus lefties this year and then moving Braun permanently to 1B next year otherwise you are looking at only having Braun on the team for about 100 games a year. It just makes more sense to move Braun to 1B sooner rather than later.
  6. I believe the Padres were looking at Sardinas before he was traded to the Brewers. There were actually a few teams looking to acquire Sardinas in a trade before the Brewers got him. You are extremely under valuing Sardinas value on the trade market.
  7. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/04/padres-have-completed-trade.html Braves get Quentin, Maybin, Matt Wisler, Jordan Paroubeck, and a draft pick. The Braves have also designated Quentin for assignment. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/04/braves-to-designate-carlos-quentin-for-assignment.html
  8. Well the Braves traded Upton and Kimbrel for Maybin, Quentin, prospects and a draft pick.
  9. It looks like the Padres are shopping Maybin rather hard and are willing to eat some of his salary. I would rather have Maybin over Parra and Schafer as the 4th/5th OF. Maybe the Padres will trade Maybin and $2m for Parra. I would prefer Schafer over Parra in this trade but I don't think that would be a match as the Padres would have to kick in more money to make that deal work. Parra makes about $1.5m less than Maybin and would be a good 4th OF for the Padres especially with both Meyers' and Kemp's injury history. The only problem is the 2016 season but Maybin could be a stopgap if the Brewers trade Gomez in the off season or during this season. There is a buyout for 2017 of $1m which is not all that bad. http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2015/apr/04/padres-dodgers-giants-pink-pony-chat-krasovic-mlb/
  10. That was a great game. I thought the turnovers were going to kill the Badgers but they played better in the 2nd half and were able to keep control and stopped the silly errors. Though I am not sure how that wasn't a flagrant 1.
  11. Hosting of the tourney games isn't tied to a new arena if that is what you are getting at. Pretty sure that isn't why they got the bid in the first place. You are right but they could eliminate Milwaukee because of the facilities being subpar. A new arena wouldn't hurt for keeping Milwaukee in the rotation as being a host city for the tournament.
  12. I wonder if a new arena is not built the NCAA tournament committee will remove Milwaukee as a host city for the tournament. That will be a bigger loss than the Bucks moving out of Milwaukee.
  13. Because it would be an extremely risky pick especially with one TJ already if he has a 2nd then what?
  14. I believe we can officially take Aiken off of the list with his TJ surgery.
  15. Have you tried resetting the box?
  16. From what I read on Baseball America it sounds like he is going to need TJ surgery or it could just be a dead arm issue.
  17. If the Brewers are trading away Sardinas I hope they are getting someone back better than Cecchini. While I like Cecchini he just isn't worth Sardinas alone let alone anything added in a package.
  18. Well here is the thing the Brewers by all accounts are an average base running team last year and Davey Nelson would be the worst person possible talking about base running. From the stats that I have looked up the Brewers have generated about 2.0 runs with their base running while the Cardinals have created about -5 runs with their base running. Everything that I have seen from the Brewers has been aggressive but more times than not they have been successful and the statistics back this up. The mental mistakes are not hurting the Brewers as much as you are thinking they are.
  19. Depending on how much the spring training facilities will cost it may or may not have to go on a public vote. I believe it is anything greater than or equal to $500k. Hey if it gets passed I can basically walk to the spring training facilities so a bonus for me.
  20. Archer if you don't mind raunchy comedy.
  21. Record: 88-74 Playoffs: Yes they win the division by 1 game and lose in the first round. MVP: Lucroy Surprise: Jeffress takes over the closer role Disappointment: Gennett desperately needs a platoon partner All Stars: Jeffress, Gomez, and Lucroy Bold Prediciton: Sardinas and Taylor along with another prospect are traded to the Phillies for Chase Utley.
  22. I just hope the Badgers don't get in the same region as NC State. That team is going to be scary come tourney time and will probably knock off one of the higher seeds.
  23. I wouldn't get a used car if I were you at least not until you can get a job that pays a little bit more. You need to think about the extra expenses owning a car brings. You are now going to have to pay for insurance monthly while a used car shouldn't be all that much but since you are young and you do not have a driving record your rates are going to be rather high. Now you also have to figure in that you are going to have to pay for registration every year which is not all that expensive but it is still an extra expense each year you will have to pay. You will also have to pay for gas which while gas is low right now but it will not stay that way. I don't know what your financial situation is but you might want to hold off on buying a car for now.
  24. 1. Tyrone Taylor 2. Orlando Arcia 3. Monte Harrison 4. Clint Coulter 5. Devin Williams 6. Taylor Jungmann 7. Taylor Williams 8. Tyler Wagner 9. Gilbert Lara 10. Kodi Medeiros 11. Corey Knebel 12.Jorge Lopez 13. Wei-Chung Wang 14. Victor Roache 15. Jason Rogers 16. Kyle Wren 17. Miguel Diaz 18. Jacob Gatewood 19. Tyler Cravy 20. Jed Bradley 21. Michael Strong 22. Michael Reed 23. David Denson 24. Ariel Pena 25. Yadiel Rivera
  25. The best advice I can give you is to have a mechanic look at the car before you buy it. http://www.kbb.com/car-reviews-and-news/top-10/best-used-cars-under-8000-2014/
