    Whips

Heard them on youtube a couple of times and I am not impressed they sound like every other garage band that I have heard in the past few years. Not really all that impressive at all.
  2. I am wondering what it would take for the Brewers to get Teheran from the Braves this off season. Maybe get Teheran plus another prospect or two for Lucroy? From: http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/25269713/inside-baseball-how-blue-jays-pulled-off-best-ever-deadline-double
  3. Khris Davis's value is that of Cespedes. So expect a package similar to what the Mets gave up to get Cespedes. Fulmer and Cessa are who you should expect in a trade for Davis. Cespedes looks to be a little bit better than Davis in the OF but it is not by all that much. Offensively Cespedes and Davis are the exact same player. If Cespedes with only a half year of control can get Fulmer and Cessa from the Mets what do you think Davis could get? There is some severe undervaluing of Davis going on in this thread.
  4. Kind of disappointed in that game but I will still probably get it.
  5. This is just amazing Also looking forward to No Man's Sky https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGy8HIYBwV0
  6. Khris Davis for another starting pitcher or younger player with more controllable years > holding Santana accountable for his Ks.
  7. Not going to work. If the Dodgers are going to be trading for Garza you are going to have to take back at least one of Crawford or Ethier. I'm not a big Guerrero fan and Van Slyke is getting old and not someone the Brewers should be targeting. The Dodgers also wouldn't have much use for Gennett with Peraza and Seager at AAA. Seager is going to be a 3B as I don't see him sticking at SS. I think this would be more representative of a trade with the Dodgers: Garza and Segura for Crawford/Ethier, Austin Barnes, and John Richy. Segura moves to SS to replace Rollins next year with Garza moving into the #4 or #5 spot in the rotation for the Dodgers. This all depends on if the Dodgers resign Greinke or not as I believe Greinke is going to opt out of his contract in the off season. What I would really like to do is trade Peralta to the Dodgers for a return of Jose De Leon, Austin Barnes, and Cody Bellinger. That is probably too much for Peralta but the Brewers could always add in Segura or Smith to the deal.
  8. Anybody know what the plans are defensively with these three? I'd have to imagine Castro could be supplanted at SS if they feel Russell's talents are better employed there. If Bryant can stick at 3B, even if Schwarber moves to the OF they're well-set defensively. The Cubs have been trying to trade Castro but not many teams want to give up the players needed because of Castro's contract.
  9. To me Russell is the only one clearly above Weeks, Fielder, and Braun defensively. Bryant is only average to below average at 3B which is a lot better than Braun. At some point Bryant will need to be moved to the OF where I believe Braun is actually better than Bryant will be. Schwarber would be a better defender at 1B than Prince but then again it is 1B and defense doesn't really matter there to me. Only Russell really puts the Cubs prospects over the top for me with Bryant and Braun basically being equal and Prince having a slight edge over Schwarber for me. Russell's defense if he is moved to SS really puts it over the top as even with Weeks offensive promise at the time doesn't really make up for it.
  10. I hope the Brewers stick Collymore back at 2B as Wisconsin looks to be loaded in the OF next year with Segovia, Harrison, Clark, Orimoloye, and Pierre as possibilities in the OF. I don't think there is enough playing time just for those 5. Maybe Pierre and Orimoloye don't make it to Wisconsin next year but that is still 3 players that should be getting the majority of the starts in the OF. That would make Collymore the 4th OF but I would rather him play 2B and sub in at the OF spot than just having him play the OF which I would fear would be the case if he starts out next year in Wisconsin. Not that Collymore deserves to be over the others in the list but he should be at least tried back at 2B for a year or two than having him sit in the OF. I would rather see what he can do with some more repetition as he is extremely athletic and he reminds me of Rickie Weeks at his age. Collymore doesn't have the hit tool that Weeks had coming out of college but he definitely has the same type of power that Weeks showed when he was drafted. He is also a lot more athletic than Weeks was.
  11. Lohse, Garza, K-Rod, Lind, and Cotts will all be placed on waivers at some point in August Garza, Lind, and Cotts are the only ones that I believe will be claimed and pulled back due to a deal not being made. Lohse and K-Rod should pass through waivers. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Angels put a claim on Garza or trading for Lohse in August. Lohse will probably not get the Brewers much of anything but Garza may get the Brewers at least one decent prospect.
  12. Flores is making $513,543 this year and the season is 60% over meaning he's getting paid about $200,000 the rest of the year. The money involved in that is zero factor. You're making it sound like he's making $5 million or something. It is still a valid point with all of the information that we have received. The Mets were desperately trying to keep the cost down on acquiring Gomez both now and in the future. The Mets wanted the Brewers to pay for some of Gomez salary, include the competitive pick, or take on Lagares. The cost savings wasn't for this season it was for beyond this season. While Cespedes actually costs more this year than Gomez would. I do believe the Brewers wanted Flores though but on the Mets side they were trying to save as much money as they could not just for this season but for the next season and beyond. Plus I don't think the Mets were going to give up both Wheeler and Fulmer in one trade and it was take your pick either Wheeler or Fulmer and another player or go find someone else to deal with it. I think the Reds had the same problem with the Mets as the Brewers did in trying to trade Bruce to the Mets.
  13. Would have to include Segura in the deal as well.
  14. No and Haniger is no where near the talent of Markakis. Markakis was in the majors by his age 22 season while Haniger has been stuck in AA for the past 2-years. Haniger is also 24 years old. A better comp to Haniger is Chris Coghlan. Now is Coghlan a 4th OF'er?
  15. Won't is probably strong. If there's nothing structurally different with his back now than when the Brewers traded for him, it would be a matter of opinion of the acquiring team's medical staff. Clearly the Brewers' staff, which is pretty highly regarded, thought he was worth the risk. His back negates his value, but does not make him untradeable. I just don't see a team taking the risk of him being injured at any point for the rest of this year. Yes they will have him for next year also but the team acquiring him if it is a team competing this year would rather trade for someone who would be more likely to be healthy.
  16. Lind won't be traded as he will not pass a teams medical examination. The team acquiring him would have to be OK with his back. Lohse will be an August waiver type deal as I don't think any team will claim him on waivers. Cotts is probably the most likely of the players you listed to be traded today or in August. Garza will probably be traded in the off season or during next years deadline. I wouldn't be surprised to see Garza flipped to the Dodgers for either Ethier or Crawford with a prospect coming back with Crawford.
  17. Cotts, K-Rod, maybe Lind. Ain't done yet. Lind is probably out of the question as he is not going to pass a teams medical examination.
  18. He has some pop in his bat and it looks like the Cardinals moved him to the OF this year. Could still possibly be someone who could play 2B or he could be a nice utility player. He is still very young yet at 20 years old and he doesn't turn 21 until next April. This is more than what the Brewers should have received for Broxton. http://www.crawfishboxes.com/2013-mlb-draft/2013/5/23/4357872/2013-mlb-draft-profile-malik-collymore-2b-ss-port-credit-secondary http://www.vivaelbirdos.com/cardinals-minor-leagues/2013/6/7/4407832/round-10-pick-305-malik-collymore-ss http://www.scout.com/mlb/cardinals/story/1493918-tcn-2015-cards-prospect-22-malik-collymore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RtK4t2y1Dg
  19. I have only briefly played it. It feels kind of clunky at first but I haven't really gotten into it real deep yet.
  20. From my friend I talked to who works for the Orioles said they were interested in Gomez but the Brewers wanted Gausman plus more in return. The Indians are interesting but I am not all that familiar with their minor league system and what they could offer for Gomez.
  21. Didn't the Brewers try to trade for Wheeler from the Giants? or was that Bumgarner? I can't remember any more but I could have sworn he was a possibility in a trade with the Giants getting Hart.
  22. I have stated this before and I am going to state it again. Gomez is probably not going to be traded before the deadline. I will be shocked if he does get traded. Gomez is more than likely going to be traded this off season. Though with the Rangers and the Indians looking in on Gomez it is a possibility they trade for him now instead of during the off season when there will be more competition for Gomez. I just do not see a suitor for Gomez now and there may not be one this off season though the Rangers and the Indians are intriguing. I don't see the Brewers getting an impact pitcher for Gomez and will more than likely get an impact bat for him. The Mariners are another team that I could see trading for Gomez now or in the off season. If the Orioles decide to make Gausman available this is the team that will get Gomez at the deadline. From what I have heard is that the Brewers want Gausman and the Orioles are deciding if they want to trade him or not. If Gausman becomes available look for a trade to happen fairly quickly between Milwaukee and Baltimore. Parra should be gone after this series with the Giants and I have heard that the Giants are the #2 team behind the Mets. Do not expect a big return for Parra the Brewers may get a teams #10-15 ranked prospect. While Parra's recent surge has been nice teams are not overly impressed with him and are not willing to give up a big prospect for him. The Brewers are waiting on the Giants to see if they are going to be buyers. Right now Lind could be traded the biggest hiccup has been his lower back pain he has been experiencing since around the all star break. The Cardinals are waiting to see if the back issues will persist or if they will go away. If Lind will be traded it will be at the deadline or possibly after the deadline (highly unlikely Lind makes it to the Cardinals on the trade waivers). I have heard nothing on Krod and Broxton while Cotts has garnered some interest. From my source I have talked to the Astros and the Cubs have had varying interest in Cotts. This is just what I have heard.
  23. Except you can't offer a player you receive in a trade that year a QO. He has to be with one club for the entire season to receive a QO. No a team can give a player a QO but there will be no compensation attached to that player if the player signs with another team.
