  1. Megill probably has the most value beyond Hudson maybe. I think you will get AAAA, Rookie or DSL players for anyone else in the bullpen.
  2. Unlikely. The Brewers probably only have 1 AS this year in Contreras though Turang has been as good as Arraez and Marte. If there is an alternate maybe Hudson but that is even more unlikely.
  3. I think it is his delivery as he is able to hide the ball really well. His pitches don't have elite movement and velocity wise he is just average. So it has to be how he hides the ball that hitters are just not able to pick it up.
  4. It is up to the schools to do what they want with it. They could allocate it all to one player if they wanted to. There are going to be a lot of legal challenges with this. Football and men's basketball will get the bigger share of the revenue. UW will have a harder time than Marquette in terms of who to pay and who not to pay or to pay very little. Marquette will just have to divide its revenue up between the Men's and Women's basketball teams getting the majority of the share with the other athletics getting whatever is left over volleyball probably getting a bigger share than the other sports. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/2024/05/25/ncaa-lawsuit-settlement-revenue-sharing-legal-questions/73843373007/ I am wondering if Marquette will start to have a flag football team as this has been increasing in popularity and it will be a sport in the LA Summer Olympics. Would need a Men's and Women's team so that could possibly cut into the revenue a bit but I don't think it would be all that much.
  5. MLB controls the Apple TV+ rights so you will have to complain to Manfred on this one. The Brewers have no control over this but they did get some money from the agreement with MLB and Apple. There are very few teams that actually own their own stadium. Actually I think you can probably count all of them on one hand and still have a finger or two left.
  6. The Big East should be fine. While they don't have a huge TV contract right now it is about $4m per team. That TV contract ends after the '24-'25 season. I think they could easily top the 12-year $500m contract the Big East signed previously. UConn and Villanova are the two biggest TV draws in the Big East for TV ratings. I think the Big East could get a rather large TV contract and it should be more per school than what the schools are getting now. Though this could be lower as the schools will need to share this with the players now. The Big East won't get the same money as the B10 gets because of the football TV contracts are far more lucrative. The Big East should be in the middle somewhere and should be fine.
  7. The umpires are just awful this year. Not just calling balls and strikes but things like the above. Some of these umps need to be fired or something. MLB needs to make these guys more accountable for their extremely bad calls. I don’t even know how you can call interference on that. The runner has the right to go back to the base there. The infielder wasn’t interfered with and was clearly able to make the play. If anything the fielder interfered with the runner getting back to the base. That isn’t even clear there either but if you wanted to call interference that is what should have been called not on the runner but on the fielder.
  8. The Brewers have only scored 3 or fewer runs this month 6 times. They are 1-5 in those games. Where the Brewers have scored 4 or more runs a game they are 9-5. They could improve a bit on their 3 or fewer runs games this month and they probably should have won one or two of those games. The 4 or more have been bad bullpen games or bad starting pitching where they have lost. If you are scoring 4+ a game you should be winning more than you are losing even with a bad pitching staff. The Brewers have won 8 games so far this month by 2 or more runs. If we expand that to 3 or more it is 4 games. By comparison the Brewers have only lost 4 games this month by 2 or more runs. The offense hasn't really been the problem this month it is the pitching and it has been the bullpen a bit this month that has melted down a few times and have cost the Brewers a few wins. I think some are forgetting the Marlins have a really good pitching staff it is their hitting that has been the problem but they scored 8 10 and then 3 off of the Mets coming into the series against the Brewers so their offense had been clicking a bit. In the series the Marlins scored 9 runs and the Brewers also scored 9 runs. Offense wasn't really the problem and the Brewers ran into a really good Luzardo.

  10. But I didn’t see it or I saw it but didn’t read it. That is usually what happens.
  11. I am loving the new Charley Crockett album $10 Cowboy. I think I like $10 Cowboy and Midnight Cowboy the best but I also like Good At Losing, Solitary Road and Hard Luck & Circumstances. You can tell he has put a lot of himself into the lyrics.
  12. Unlikely and the ones that may drop wouldn't be worth drafting. Think Ethan Small type of a starting pitcher. Actually this year is probably one of the worst college pitching in awhile at least for anyone in the 1st round. I fully expect the Brewers to go bat in the 1st round especially where they are picking. There are far more bats available in this draft than there are starting pitching.
  13. It is also on Netflix now! Also if anyone hasn't seen Band of Bothers then you don't like good things and you are an evil person who needs to be tortured by having baby shark on repeat for eternity.
  14. More pensions will be adding this soon. Ironically more pensions have added crypto than 401k’s have. Hopefully the morons in Washington DC can stop their bumbling around nonsense and stop fearing what they can’t control.
  15. You can put users on ignore. On desktop hover over the persons name and then click on Ignore. There is probably a way to do it on mobile but I can't remember how.
  16. Want another reason to hate the Yankees and the Dodgers or the regional sports networks? Well they are the ones holding up the blackout restrictions. Also some teams and the MLB commissioner are pushing for a national streaming deal but the large market teams are holding this back along with the Bally bankruptcy. The MLBPA will also be involved with this since it is a revenue sharing platform which means 2026 could be the earliest we see any headway on this. MLB is really trying to ditch the regional sports networks and go 100% streaming or close to 100% streaming. If Bally continues to walk blindly and stumble through this bankruptcy proceeding Manfred may have enough teams to start up a national streaming shared revenue deal. Though this would be without some of the major teams like the Dodgers and Yankees. I don't think MLB will get a lot but definitely more than what they are getting from the regional sports networks for the teams. This then brings up the question if the Yankees, Dodgers and others don't participate in this then are they then excluded from the revenue sharing? I would think the large market teams would still demand revenue sharing from this even though they would only participate when they are playing the teams that are in this new streaming deal. I would also assume local TV would probably go away or MLB may sell some of the rights to a local TV station which would probably be a Milwaukee only TV station (using the Brewers as an example). So if you live outside of the Milwaukee area the only way to watch if you can't get the TV station from over the air would be from whatever streaming service it would be on. I think MLB would consolidate these to one platform like Amazon and then run the other with Facebook, Apple, Roku, and YouTube then also the games that are played on FS1, Fox, MLB Network and ESPN. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5500209/2024/05/17/mlb-national-streaming-deal-tv/
  17. I am not convinced. He does K a lot at 34.4% currently.
  18. I think that is close to being right. The Yankees own the Twins and not just in the playoffs either.
  19. I think you need to stay away from the draft power because you don't have power now. That could all change at any moment due to a trade or just the development of the prospects. But if you want power then taking Dakota Jordan or Tommy White in the first round would accomplish that. Maybe you go with Theo Gillen also for the Comp A pick. Gillen has some power though it is hard to tell with HS players. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the Brewers 1st round pick either. He has similar grades to Turang though with more power and less defensively. I think Gillen maybe more of an OF long term or maybe a 2B.
  20. This wouldn’t breach the antitrust exemption I believe. Though if enough noise is made it could be threatened to be removed and if I were a team like the Cowboys I would welcome the removal. As it would then allow a team like the Cowboys to negotiate a TV deal for themselves.
  21. Netflix will air the Christmas games for the next 3-years. The teams local viewers will still be able to watch the games but anyone out of market will have to watch on Netflix or NFL+ on mobile app. So for example if you live in Minnesota or the UP you won’t be able to watch that game unless you have Netflix. I wonder how long the NFL will keep the local cities get to watch these games without a subscription to one of the streaming services. At some point they will reverse this and probably when the boomer generation is no longer a viable revenue stream.
  22. The bad suicide squeeze was worse.
  23. Frelick has no confidence at the plate. Mitchell needs to get healthy in a hurry as Frelick does not look like a MLB OF.
