  1. Yup, available December 28 for 8 weeks. link
  2. yay! I'll be taking the 4th off as well, and standing in line outside in the freezing cold weather.
  3. Another Suppan bobblehead is being made? What is wrong with this world?
  4. In the state of Wisconsin, teachers are required to take a certain number of credits every few years to stay certified. I believe this started about 5 years ago, and some people were grandfathered in. So, newer teachers are either teaching and taking class at the same time, or use break periods for class. I'm not a teacher, so those of you that are - feel free to correct any errors in that statement. I just know about it from friends that are teachers.
  5. Looks like you were right. Ours are already rotting. But, we didnt' put them outside like we had talked about. oops.
  6. Co-ops rule! They keep the hippies away from me! My issue with the hippies is they complain when they go into the "normal" store and expect me to carry every single free-range, organic, gluten free, unbleached, soy, bulk, all-natural whatever they're looking for... < This hippy completely agrees with you. When I want "normal" groceries, I go to a chain b/c I know they have lower prices - saving money on that stuff allows me to buy my organic milk, prairie-raised chicken eggs, all-natural yogurt, etc.
  7. Add to that the fact that Counsell is clutch. Seriously, I really like the guy. He's definitely not a bad baseball player, and there's something about having a hometown guy on your team. I say keep him around until he quits or his knees give out. He's one guy that's always willing to take a hometown discount.
  8. There's a Saw 6? Who is going to see these movies? I haven't seen any of them.
  9. There's only one tea light in it, but I took the picture in complete darkness with my iphone. It doesn't handle light/dark very well. We live in an apartment, so we're not even displaying the pumpkin outside - just felt like carving them. But as burnie said, it's cold enough here that they'll last if kept outside.
  10. real hippies shop at the Co-op. <-- Hippy.
  11. We live next to a high school football field. Like, on the 50 yard line. So we hear bad marching bands, bad announcers, bad national anthem recordings...it goes on and on.
  12. This is my pumpkin: http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/660360fc2c9e1d4b9bba7be9e3f91fc1318248bd.jpg I don't remember if I found these on Brewerfan last year or not - a quick Off Topic search didn't find anything. Templates are available online here: http://milwaukee.brewers....orum/pumpkintemplate.jsp
  13. This is by no means official, but from what I've heard the impact on your credit rating is only for a few months. Maybe look into some of the NPR radio shows' online content? That's where I get a lot of my info. Alternately, could you transfer the balance to the 0% card for a smaller fee than the increased interest?
  14. I noticed the same thing. They don't show up on a kayak.com search either, which is what I prefer. Maybe that helps them keep their prices lower? Just booked our rental car using my parents' credit card miles (they're sharing the house with us). So, take that expensive rental cars!
  15. Just booked our tickets on Southwest (tickets were released today for our travel dates). We've got 2 round-trip, non-stop tickets from Milwaukee to Phoenix for less than $450. Considering that's what one ticket would have cost last time I went (2008) I'll take it.
  16. That just seems wrong that a bar/casino/whatever wouldn't take a valid ID b/c it looks different.
  17. As long as your ID isn't expired, you shouldn't need a new one. You might get an extra look when you're ID'd, but you'll be ok.
  18. Yeah, they did it last year as well. The 5-payment plan won't be that bad, even though there's a higher price involved, b/c you'll have until March to finish paying.
  19. I'd second touring the ballpark. It's really nice. If you take the train to DC, maybe you could also tour the Nationals Stadium. If you end up going to DC and need advice, let me know - I lived there for a year awhile back. Didn't make it to Baltimore much though.
  20. For those of you with 20 or 40 game packs - the incentive to pay early is a limited edition 40th anniversary print, or 10 metavante passes per ticket. Hawing - Aaron had a 20 & 9 game pack in loge, work tickets, and we had some credit card incentive tickets in loge last year, so we were down there quite a bit and tried to sell my package. I'm still going to come up with the cash, b/c this is a great deal.
  21. Just found out that the B1G1 "Loge Level Double Play" deal doesn't apply to the regular season ticket discount - it's B1G1 for the full season at the regular loge price. So, with the discount, it works out to $19 per ticket. Not as exciting as it was originally, and I already "gave up" my old tickets for these new tickets without having the policy explained to me. So now I have a decision to make. Boo.
  22. I like hot chocolate. I probably wouldnt' have much of it without winter.
  23. Well, last night's game was a regular season game so it was probably covered by the regular Twins/Tigers affiliates.
  24. I know "fearliest" was probably a typo....but I think that's a great word.
  25. I just spoke with my ticket rep - the full season ticket holder incentive if you pay in full by November 20 is a meet & greet with Robin Yount and a Robin Yount autographed 40th anniversary poster.
