  1. When people walk by our place smoking and the smoke blows in our windows.
  2. It was the Iceman. I'm not sure if he actually got hit, but he gave the ball to a fan and just kept selling beer and free shivers.
  3. HD yesterday, but not today? I know it's a dead horse, but I'm still compelled to keep beating it.
  4. I am on vacation for 10 days, starting today. Hooray.
  5. me too me too! Paid it off today. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. The woot yesterday was pretty awesome, and I'm expecting our new Klipsch speakers in a few days.
  7. Good lucky Manny. Right the ship, you have good stuff. See you once you correct your problems and give us a push for a playoff run.
  8. I've always viewed Brewerfan on a macbook. It's supposed to look better than this? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  9. This year all season ticket holders got 2 extra opening day tickets. Last year it was 4.
  10. I think the price of my seats is a pretty good perk, as well as the ability to buy extra tickets for opening day and all the other games before the general public. Metavante passes, although prolific, are still nice. And selling my extra tickets through stubhub is super convenient. Postseason ticket rights are pretty awesome too. I'm happy with the perks I get.
  11. I know it's been mentioned before, and maybe it's on the list, but...I'd like to reiterate the request for a "FAQ for other ballparks/cities" section. The same questions keep popping up in the threads and it's starting to get old. I can only imagine how old it's gotten for those of you that have been using/moderating the site for years and years.
  12. Much of the information you're looking for regarding St. Louis is in this thread.
  13. When I quit my last job I gave just over a month's notice, b/c I knew they would want me to help find my replacement. Unless you work in a cuthroat, competitive environment (I can't imagine a library is that way) I wouldn't worry about it. People are always worried about how to quit, how their boss will react.....unless it's extremely short notice, I've never been mad at an employee that quit. We always want our employees to succeed, and if that means going back to school, then so be it. Granted, I work in higher education and we generally give 3-6 months notice when possible, because our job searches run on academic year cycles.
  14. Squirrel!
  15. We saw this movie as well - it was really good, but extremely sad in parts. I cried too. The dog (Doug) was hilarious. He should get his own movie.
  16. To bad he just didn't shut it down when he first was questionable, we'd at least be able to maybe get a year use of him.
  17. My dad used to buy the Uecker seats all the time, and then treat them as standing room only tickets. I think it's a nice gesture to the fans, and is another thing that makes going to Miller Park affordable. I actually sat in my Uecker seat once, and it wasn't too bad. I could understand offering these seats for every game BUT promo games.
  18. the ticket window for section 238 is near the left field entrance.
  19. it's the first ticket booth to the left of the home plate entrance. Yes, only one ticket per person, and cash only. 3 hours should get you a ticket, but you probably won't be first, especially on a bobblehead day.
  20. I got one for $10 at a garage sale and it worked great. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. What exactly are you basing this opinion on?
  22. No, I think those videos were live last year. This year they don't show him anymore - they cut to a nerdy looking guy in the club section. I saw the bearded guy at a game on May 2 - he was in the right field SRO on field level. Wonder why he lost his camera time.....
  23. The studies (conducted by Pascarella & Terenzini - I probably murdered the spelling) are widely respected in the student affairs profession. It's one of the reason so many campuses have a live-on requirement. It's easier to stay on campus after your first year if your school offers more options - single/semi-private rooms, choice of roommates, etc. I had a single room after my 1st semester, so that may have played into my experience.
  24. Live on campus. Studies repeatedly show that students that live on campus stay in school longer and get higher GPAs than their off-campus counterparts. I lived on campus all 4 years (as an RA for 3). I know that's not for everyone, but I saved money and had a great time. Even if your school doesn't require it, live on campus for at least your first one or two years.
  25. The Sabathia jersey on Ebay actually isn't bad - I believe in the Brewer's store one is selling (or was selling) for about $2000. If you go to the gift shop on the Terrace level you'll get game used jerseys of lesser-known players (Vargas, King, Wise), for a couple hundred bucks.
