  1. He is a nice target if healthy & I like the idea of AJ Green playing in a division other than the AFC North. But how much are the Packers willing to give up and why is Cinci looking to deal Green?? Green is basically a rental, and the Bengals are terrible. It makes perfect sense to sell him to the highest bidder. They’ll likely get a 3rd rounder as compensation if he leaves, so I assume the asking price would be at least a 3rd rounder (which converts the uncertainty of a compensatory to a known commodity).
  2. Grisham is a 22-year-old rookie who wouldn’t be playing if the reigning MVP was healthy. Cut the kid some slack.
  3. Easy now. This isn’t the World Series and this isn’t a team capable of winning the World Series. This is a scrappy, injury-plagued Wild Card team. I know that doesn’t remove the sting tonight, but I’m proud of this team.
  4. My hubby is not female. Ha, I know. That was pretty clear. It was the comments of some other posters that sent me to Google.
  5. I’m joining the GT late. A few observations: 1) Playoff baseball is so much better than regular baseball. 2) If they win 3-1, Yaz has been worth every penny. 3) A female spouse can be referred to as a “husband.”
  6. I’m half-joking, but I wish close calls were reviewed by 32 fans (one from each NFL team) in a sports bar. They have 1-minute to lock in their vote based on a half dozen replays. The bartender breaks all ties. It would make for good television and I don’t think it could be any worse than the current replay system.
  7. I like Cobb and wish the Packers would have brought him back on the same 1-year/$5 million deal he got with the Cowboys, but calling him ‘reliable’ is a stretch.
  8. That reminds me of one of ‘The Hangover’ movies where Allen introduces himself as a ‘stay-at-home son.’
  9. I think the Timber Rattlers are opening the ballpark in Appleton for the Wild Card game.
  10. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around your example. That would be the equivalent of a mother calling Best Buy to see if she could get some free iPads so that her able-bodied, adult son could sell them online to pay for his vacation. Am I understanding that correctly?
  11. I tried spiked seltzer for the first time today. It was pretty good. The canned booze shelf at my local grocery story used to be 3/4 beer and 1/4 everything else. Now it’s 1/2 beer, 1/4 seltzer, 1/4 everything else.
  12. What was the most ridiculous request?
  13. I’m not going to get too down on this loss. When the schedule came out, I penciled in a ‘L’ for this game. The Eagles are good and the Packers could easily be 1-3. Now I just have to avoid sports radio for 10 days. Goodnight, BF.
  14. Definitely not me.
  15. They just went 0 for 4 from the 2 ... not feeling so good about their chances in a winner take all situation. Yet you feel ok about a two point conversion? Sorry - misread your post. Have no faith regarding the 2.

  17. I can’t keep track. There are too many.
  18. Except is gives the Eagles time to challenge.
  19. It’s maddening that a team one year removed from winning the Super Bowl can add a player like Jordan Howard and only give up a mid-round draft pick. I wish the 2010 Packers had fortified the roster when the window was open.
  20. It’s pretty clear they can’t afford to even give up 3 here.
  21. Red Zone efficiency is also killing them.
  22. Graham 0 for 3 on that last set of downs. If he’s not going to haul one of those 3 in, why keep him?
  23. Yep. But no, we get an Antonio Morrison clone in Goodson off the scrap heap. Meh ... you can’t sign everyone. The roster was in bad shape when Gute took over. At the very least, it’s better than when he started.
