  1. Elgton Jenkins to start at LG. Lane Taylor to IR. Adam Pankey back with the Pack after being signed off the Titans’ practice squad. That happened quick.
  2. I wonder how many people in a survivor pool will simply pick against the Dolphins whenever possible?
  3. The next time the Packers go through a lean decade, I hope we handle it as graciously as the Bills Mafia.
  4. TE Evan Baylis gets Davis’ roster spot. They must be concerned about Graham’s injury.
  5. I love that BG has been able to flip bubble players for picks: Brett Hundley (6) Ty Montgomery (7) Reggie Gilbert (7) Trevor Davis (6) Is this just a streak of luck, or was TT just not picking up the phone?
  6. It’s a 6th-Rounder for Davis, per Oakland Tribune.
  7. Guesses on what the Packers received in return? A 7th? Hopefully not another swap. I can’t keep track of those anymore.
  8. Well, they are already 0-2, and are looking at starting a green as grass QB the rest of the year. Perhaps they believe that Minkah is worth the possible (likely) top 5 pick they are giving up? Maybe. That seems like a stretch, considering they might need a new QB.
  9. Raven Greene to IR
  10. ...and it happens the year after the Packers had rights to the Saints 1st round pick. No kidding. You never hope for injuries, but I figured having that Saints 1st rounder was great, as there would be some year that Brees didn't iron man his way through the year. Missed it by a year. Oh well, Darnell Savage appears to be a pretty good consolation prize. I like Savage, but it would have been nice to get him without trading a pair of 4th rounders to the Seahawks.
  11. Maybe it means you're not a realist. The Packers have beat the Bears who are a freakishly good defensive team and the Vikings who were the #4 D last year. They're not doing it with smoke and mirrors, Alexander, King, Clark..the young guys are playing great, Z Smith, P Smith, Amos have been everything we could have hoped for. And we haven't needed Gary to do much yet while Savage has been pretty impressive. And we caught a glimpse of how good this offense can be. It's going to be a lotta fun when Rodgers has this offense down. So we're a young team with a new offense, a really effective defense, a really good looking running game. Week 2? They've looked awesome to me. And I'm still holding out hope that the Packers ARE in fact one of the 5 teams to have called about Minkah! Thanks for keeping things positive. I’m not the type of fan to pound the table for trades, but if the Packers can pick up any deals in the Dolphins fire sale, I’m all for it.
  12. The Seahawks, Cowboys, and possibly the Bears are in line to get cheap wins against the Saints if Brees misses a few weeks.
  13. I’ve never felt so salty after a Packers’ win. I don’t know if that makes me a realist or just a miserable person.
  14. NFC North is undefeated outside the division (3-0-1).
  15. I’m traveling for work and watched a Packer game without DVR for the first time in 5 years. The amount of commercials, challenges, and penalties are unbearable.
  16. That’s a neat stat. You can always count on the Vikings to make a few big (lucky?) plays. That’s why I half expected them to win today until the very last play.
  17. I’ll be traveling for work today, and won’t be active in the GT. I took the Packers last week, but am feeling less optimistic this week. The Vikings are a much more well-rounded team. 27-20 Vikings. Enjoy the game. GPG!
  18. I don’t know if you can definitely say the Bears won the Khalil Mack trade. Teams win Super Bowls by having multiple players outperform their contracts. The best way to acquire value contracts is through the draft. When a you give a great player a huge contract, it’s really difficult to outperform that contract and for the team to realize surplus value. At best, the team hopes to get exactly what they paid for. The Packers are 2-1 vs Mack - far greater than their long term .501 winning percentage against the Bears.
  19. He's not even the OC. Kevin Stefanski is. Kubiak is assistant head coach. He is the first Super Bowl winning HC to resurface as an assistant later on, but several SB losers have taken that route, including Ken Wisenhunt, Jim Caldwell, Bill Callahan, Jim Fassel, Sam Wyche, Raymond Berry, and John Rauch. Thanks for the research. Maybe his health issues prevent him from accepting too much responsibility? Seems like a reasonable approach if he enjoys coaching. I thought he would have been content in Denver working in an administrative capacity.
  20. Anyone else surprised that Gary Kubiak is an OC? Is he the first SB-winning HC to take a coordinator job? I know he had some health concerns that forced him into an administrative role with the Broncos, but his current job seems beneath him.
  21. I don’t mind ties. They make the standings a little cleaner.
  22. I have to believe the coach is on the hot seat. He probably should have been fired after blowing a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.
  23. I was happy to see him get his first hit today.
  24. The Vikings have 3 TDs on 3 Falcon turnovers. Yikes. Edit: Make that 4 TDs on 4 TOs.
