  1. Is it me or is Kendall ALWAYS up in the 9th on close games? I'm praying he gets walked/hit.
  2. Can't believe Wandy worked 7 complete after tinkering around in the first couple of innings at such a high pace. Those DP balls really bailed him out and we seemed to get less patient. Their pen is suspect so we could scrap something together, but I worry that this is the same old lazy day game Brewers that check out early.
  3. Last overweight Reds bullpen arm we snagged late in a season has worked well for us. Good to see him back. Better than many of our current options. Blum's OPS against us is nearly .800 in 66 games before today. 100 pts better than his average. Feels worse though. His defense has killed us too.
  4. Good start for Gorzo in Chicago. I don't think Hart was that impressive; this may have been a big steal for the scrubs.
  5. Hopefully we learned something from the last time we saw him. The trick is to have long ABs against him and take pitches. Easier said than done...
  6. Bengie is a FA, but I doubt we go for him. I'm hoping Lemon LaCroix pans out.
  7. Ideally, Hall sticks in the outfield this August and he gets over this whole "I was good til they moved me to CF" thing. At the end of the day, I think we would settle for him as a starter if he hit like he did the year he was in CF, which #s weren't that far from Cam's over the last year. McGehee would fit as the super sub of the infield and you'd need to give AE, Gamel and Weeks coming off injury a lot of rest. Then again, this is extremely doubtful
  8. Coffey warming...I feel like we have 3 arms on the entire roster that we trust. Macha needs to put his foot down and pinch hit for Kendall.
  9. I"d do it for Hall straight up. Unfortunately, 3rd is one of maybe 3 positions they have a solid player.
  10. They're pitchers have gone 3-4 this series so far. Feels like they're 10-12.
  11. I would've traded Lopez for Alderson. Ranked 60th overall by Baseball Prospectus in their Top 100 Prospects for 2009
  12. We could throw Bill Hall out there. Maybe not a good idea to more the best 3rd baseman in the league, but we have some 3rd base depth. Ankiel would be another option, but he's annoying. Marlon Byrd would fit in pretty well in CF too. Cam is going to be 38 and I don't want him to play every day out there.
  13. I still feel good about this game. Not sure why Stetter was the choice there, but I still feel like we can get them. I just hope the hitters don't take themselves out of the game.
  14. Why the heck is Soup is still in there? OHHHHH THE HUMANITY
  15. I'm surprised that neither manager has gone to his pen; then I think how awful theirs is and how depleted ours is and I guess it makes sense.
  16. Best thing I've heard so far tonight: "Nationals bullpen is busy"
  17. Seems like the 1500th 5+ run inning we've given up this year.
  18. I can't wait for this inning to end, at least then Ueck will stop talking about how big Dunn is.
  19. Let's start a little 7 game streak to get us all believing again so that we can have our hearts broken again in September!
  20. Only wish Burns had gone down a few weeks ago...
  21. The media also loves Rasmus and he's had a few webgems so I think he'll make a solid run. If Hanson hits the rookie wall, I think it will be Rasmus. Is Burns eligible?
  22. Cody could do what Swarzek (and so many others) did to us and baffle other teams with stuff they haven't scouted. He has good control and I think we could at least get two to three quality starts out of him before other teams really start figuring him out and he needs to make adjustments to the majors. We don't really know how he'll react, but I have confidence that he's better than Burnsie.
