  1. I like this move a lot. Swindle is very intriguing. Phils and Mets haven't had a chance to scout him at all; so long as he has his control I see him giving us about 4 scoreless innings during this trip.
  2. I think his 1 for 18 is more likely to drive the Cubs toward hating him. For as much as people complain about how much we pay Cam, Milton is getting more cash, is a bigger question mark, and his antics are the opposite of Cam's leadership--I'd much rather have MC. So mad at myself at grabbing Bradley on my fantasy team.
  3. Is it me or has Kendall been up in the 9th of every game this week? I wonder if Macha has figured out that we should pinch for him.
  4. - Looper seems to have recovered from his spring injury; Very pleased with his first start. - Braun could use a few days rest to complete a recovery, he doesn't seem 'right.' - Rickie seems more focused - McClung, Hardy, Kendall all will improve, I'm not worried - Parra is crucial and if we get the version we saw Thursday, it could be a long season I thought he would attack more this year, but I still felt like he was nibbling. - Soup, Jorge really worry me 2-4 isn't great, but
  5. Not exactly a fear inducing lineup and I'm preparing myself for the worst, but I still believe Dumpster had a freak year last year and if we have patience at the plate tonight (insert CC + Duffy), we could get a bit lucky. Its Easter, we're on national TV and I don't have to work so I'm pretty darn happy and I'll enjoy it until Soup struggles. I hate to see Soriano get hot, because when he is locked in, he's filthy. Hopefully he'll wait to really turn it on til next week.
  6. The curse of Ben Sheets. All FA money that would've gone to him had he accepted arby is going to guys that get oblique strains.
  7. I would've expected Manny because they're buddies, but I think this is good to see Rivera get his shot. Bush seems to be such a focused type with his own game plan that it doesn't matter who it is. Interesting that Soup is calling his shots.
  8. Princeeatmeat is probably right except. I wouldn't expect much change from last year's order. Still, I expect this team to put up a lot of runs this year. I hope we don't get the Cam leading off experience again. That sucked.
  9. DiFelice is very intriguing. I think Yetti deserves a shot. When he started last year, he did really well and for awhile was pushing to get Bush's spot. Wasn't all that long ago that Yost was making the silly decision to alternate the two. If nothing else, it shows that Yetti was a worthy candidate. I think Soup will give us a few good outing this year and will continue to be who he is (4.50 era) nothing more, occasionally something less.
  10. The only way the Yankees do this is if they think they can move Hall back to centerfield for the second half of this year to platoon with Melky, and I doubt they want to go there. To sign Bill up for two years is an excessive response to the A-Rod injury. The Gardner? guy they have out in center playing with Melky can't hit very well, but it seems that they're content with it at the moment. For such a strong team, they really have a weak outfield. In fact, Brewers' offense is probably slightly better than theirs is. Pitching is another matter.
  11. Certainly will be an upgrade over old Yankee Stadium. In spite of the history, place sucked. I wonder how much the "Kids Zone" will cost in New York.
  12. I don't think Simmons should be on. During his time in Milwaukee he was really limited and on the way down. That said, we haven't had many good catchers. Surhoff would probably be the best ever, which is sort of scary. For some reason I don't remember Mike Fetters being as good as a 155+ while with the Brewers.
  13. Nelson can rake. Much better hoping for a double from Nelson than a bunt single from TG. Too bad we can't move him for some prospect.
  14. I'm going to have to give up soon and look to eBay. Hopefully people will sell to me inspite of my zip code.
  15. This virtual waiting room sucks. I spent a day at work on it during cubs sale, got nothing. I wonder how many teams have a slammed box office (online, in person, telephone). I bet only about 10 in the league are that popular with their fans right now. Maybe i'm just a Homer, but you have to admit the excitement behind this team is awesome and Milwaukee truly is a baseball town (sorry Bucks). I really think it has more to do with that than the long wait for success finally being over. All the more reason for Mark and Doug to build a consistent competitor.
  16. They've been mentioning it for a long time that they wanted to sign him up long term. They must be of the feeling that knee issues are one thing but he has always had a strong arm. I'm all for locking Yo up along with Manny. We don't have a ton of top of the rotation guys in the pipeline. In fact Jeffress is the only guy who could come up in 2010 and then maybe Odorozzi and Periard in 2011 but that is if you're really optimistic about those guys continuing to improve. I know we have 4 more years of Yo, but I imagine an ace would have top demands in an arby case. Are there any instances of a teams #1 going through arby?
  17. Too bad for the Twins. Remember two years ago when he absolutely shut us down? Many thought he would be a solid pitcher for them and was an elite prospect at one point. Twins have had their fair share of "luck" with prospects and they need it to compete. Still, they're the team to beat in the AL Central if you ask me.
  18. Milton had tightness in his leg (not the oft injured knee). That'd be a big blow to lose him right away.
  19. I agree completely with twobrewer. The guy seems to make everyone around him more relaxed and they seem to have great chemistry. He seems happy in the role too. A trade isn't out of the question come June either if the crew are stumbling. I, along with Vegas, have no doubt that the Yanks will be there in October, and I'm sure Hank would be willing to overspend in June to get that last piece, which for them will either be a backup catcher or a centerfielder.
  20. Still no word on my or my wife's email. I must not have entered correctly. That, or they are trying to assign seats to the winners and that is taking longer. From a ticket sales perspective, it kind of sucks for the brewers that they got the scrubs on the first weekend. That would've been a sell out regardless, should have just made it against the D-Backs or some other irrelevant team like the Marlins. Anyone else notice we started at home vs SF last year and on the road vs the Cubs last year? Sort of interesting.
